Some relatively light news

I wanted this to be something less onerous than what I said yesterday about Biden and Ukraine.

Analysis

Now, the People's Party was starting to look kind of sketchy about a year ago. But Cornel West is fun, and it's quite clear that the fundamental problem of American politics is the complete atrophy of political imagination, and that another "someone running for President" could contribute to an overhaul of our pitifully inadequate political imaginary here in the US. Of course, this overhaul would have to start by Cornel West being someone more than the Cornel West of the past, and more specifically that Cornel West's campaign would have to be something more than West's pursuance of his own habits as driven by his self-image.

But, as I've suggested before, let a thousand non-Joe-Bidens bloom.

@mimi like you'd expect people from DC to do, except they're honest, not a common quality in DC.

of recovering control of our government through the election process.
Only outside forces are capable of doing that through creative destruction of the existing regime.

Neither Russia nor China is our enemy.
Neither Iran nor Venezuela are threatening America.
Cuba is a dead horse, stop beating it.

@earthling1 I saw Cornel West at Occupy Los Angeles. He was great! He hugged me. What a guy!

though it's hard to break past our two party system, he would have needed to get organized in 50 states earlier. Always good to have more choices. Needs a haircut.
