My wife, Clara, died yesterday 8 months after surgery & likely recurrence of cancer. She wasn't famous, but she deserves to be remembered. Please remember her.
Part of her story. Please read: https://t.co/TVa2XH6syw— Steven Searls (@StevenDBT) April 11, 2022
I am very sorry, Steven. You are in my thoughts.

I am sorry that
Clara and Steven have gone through hard times.
If and when he drops in, I will be certain to give him my condolences.

He sat across the table when many of us met
for the first time before we were rescued by C99p wooden plank. He was such a gentle kind man, one can't imagine his wife was anything but like him.
My sincere condolences to Steven.

What horrific news for our Steven.

Words never seem adequate.
They can never convey the torrent of complex thoughts and feelings we might feel in response to a friend's misfortune. The tangle of those feelings are stuffed into a suitcase we call 'sympathy.' To the extent that those feelings resonate in the context of our own lives, we call it 'empathy'. That Stephen is living a mindful life, and has shared the processing of his loss, is a separate tribute and contribution that deepens the well of humanitarian understanding.
The well of humanitarian understanding is running dry in our societies and among our leaders. This is why large groups of people stand silent as they gaze at atrocities and looming extinction. The very worst of them bray demands for more violence and deadly punishments — and less understanding and cognizance. Less empathy.
Meaningful lives: Stephens tribute to Marie has planted a seed of redemption for humankind. That's what I see.
A life once shared is a blessing, no matter the duration
Read Steve's Walking With a Dead Man so have a feeling where
his empathy lies. The piano recital is bittersweet.
