Submitted by Socialprogressive on Fri, 01/21/2022 - 5:00pm
Happy Friday everyone. As always post any photos you like.
Some cool kitty's I've had the privilege of knowing.
Koa. Koa is a Russian Blue but has assured me that he did not run a troll farm or in any way help elect the former occupant of the White House.
Luna. Luna is a Turkish Angora. There are rumors floating around that she is involved in the production of Turkish hash

Hi Q
If you add two more branches your snowman can be a bug-eyed insect.
Evening, QMS
Cool looking snow monster.
I'm great at multi-tasking. I can waste time, be unproductive, and procrastinate all at the same time.
Are you sure...
He has Putin eyes.
He has very guilty looking eyes.

I love the cat portraits and title Social
Koa is gorgeous and so is my association of the name. One of my very favourite trees are Koa from Hawaii. The wood has beautiful colours and grain, and even an iridescent quality.
Luna is a cat of primary colours, and I hope Jaybird was kind enough to leave the jay birds alone, once he was released.
We had a reprieve of a few hours rain in our increasingly hot and dry summers.
Enjoy the evening and be well everyone.
ps. what is the video, it’s unavailable here, but I can find a version of it if I know the title.
Good evening Janis, beautiful picture (as usual)
Video is Stray Cats doing Stray Cat Strut, but I don't know the date.

Good evening Social. Thanks for hosting, for the
great pics and for stray cat strut. Today the sun was up and so were the Daffs, so I grabbed a few pics of them just because I haven't used my "new" camera much at all and not in quite some time: However, it is taking forever to load them into flickr preparatory to putting them here ...

What a blast of pure sunlight your daffodils are, el
Thank you for reminding me of its beauty. I should really plant some bulbs. My neighbour planted King Alfred bulbs which are a beautiful, large variety, and one that is reminiscent of her childhood.

Hi, BR
Beautiful cat. I love the little black goatee.

Hi Bollox
Nice to see you and Oscar.
Is he still in control of affairs?
Oscar is no longer with us
Fred rules the roost now, much to Purfleet's (below) chagrin.

I think I got Oscar and Purfleet confused, but now I remember. I'm glad to hear Purfleet is still with you, keeping her place warm while Fred rules the rest.
That's a lot of collar for that little guy

We used to have two cats, named Felix and Oscar.
Felix wore the tuxedo, though.

My Baby
So I couldn't quickly, at least, find any good pics of my cats. But this is my pup, dog, baby, whatever. Her name is Jaska and, yes, she's my icon pic. This was *gulp* 11 years ago. She is under a year old, and trashed from playing very hard for hours on end.
Hmm, I found another, of Jaska and one of our (now deceased) cats, Donatello. Can you find him?
And, no, Jaska wasn't after him. They were playing! Donatello won, I think

Hi Sima
Is Donatello a tabby looking down at Jaska?
Thank you for your photos. The photo of wasted Jaska is classic.
Yep, that's Donatello

Hi, Sima
Jaska looks adorable. They do have boundless energy when they're young.
Donatello is a little up and to the right of center.

What type of dawg is she?
I’m better at identifying trees than dawgs. Well some breeds anyway.
Was Humpty Dumpty pushed?
@snoopydawg She's a rare breed, at
Finnish Spitz. In Finland, they call them Suomenpystykorva. They are the national dog of Finland. I love the breed, just love it.

I'm not a photographer, but I like pictures
here is one I found from China ..
It is a unique type of petrographic geomorphology found in China. Danxia landform is formed from red-colored sandstones and conglomerates of largely Cretaceous age.
The landforms look very much like karst topography that forms in areas underlain by limestones, but since the rocks that form Danxia are sandstones and conglomerates, they have been called “pseudo-karst” landforms. Danxia landforms cover several provinces in southeast China.
It's the cat's pajamas
Beautiful!
Nice find, QMS.

Fantastic, thanks for that great pic. I've seen
a lot of colorful landforms in the US, but nothing that can match that.

Goodnight all,
and thanks for your photos and presence. I'm off to prepare stir-fry for dinner.

She looks so huggable snoopy
How proud and privileged you must feel. No doubt she is happy with you and life also.
She is such a sweetheart!
I do feel good at how sweet of a dawg she is and how good she is. I remember being so afraid of getting her so early after Charlie died because I didn’t know if I would do a good job raising her and if I was ready or if I would bond to her. But I think that she knew that I was broken inside and decided that she would help heal me. I really think that she felt my sadness and took it as her job to bring joy back in my life. I marvel every day that we both did a good job making her what she is today. I know it sounds sappy to think this but it’s true. She is responsible for a lot of our bond. And now I know that I was also very sick when I got her and I didn’t find out until June that I was and that added to my anxiety about getting her so soon. I marvel at how funny she is when she gets my socks every morning. It’s still a fun game we play and it starts my mornings out with a laugh.
I’ve loved every one of my dawgs, but this connection I feel with Sam is extra special. And that she still loves to snuggle is beyond priceless. I hope everyone who has a pet in their lives understands how incredible the bond is with their pet.
Thanks, Janis.

I'm not at all surprised snoopy
at the connection you and Sam share, and how mutually rewarding it is.
I think you have described beautifully what can be experienced in the special relationship between dogs and their human companions.
Whatever happened to CATURDAY night???
In the Land of the Blind, the One-Eyed Man is declared mentally ill for describing colors.

Great cat pics SP! Nice lookin' felines too.
This was a rescue my wife and I had its last couple/few years. Note the Scrub-Jay right behind the cat picking food out of the dish.
My wife could not leave a hat upside-down.
Thanks all for the great pix!

Hi, dystopian
That's one ballsy Scrub-Jay. Looks like you're getting some catatude from the cat in the hat.

hola Dysto, my kind of scrubbie there. We have
an isolated squirrel proof elevated platform for feeding ours (actually now a mini flock) peanuts; put them down, turn around and he's there immediately sorting through them.
