Just the thought of snow gives me the shivers. Those mice can be destructive little boogers. Hope you don't have any extra parts when you put the blower back together.
The first one is freaky. The second ones look prehistoric.
Today we were graced by about 6" of the white stuff ..
Tried to crank up the old snow blower, but a mouse chewed thru the plug wire. It was quite a chore to get to the magneto ..
now the trick will be to put it back together

It is such a treat to see the close up clarity of your bird portraits. You show us that birds have colours that vie for attention with flowers and leaves.
@janis b
Cool looking leaf. The colors and shape make it a real attention getter.

Just some weeds or twigs that blew in where the lake used to be. I camped across the street from where it used to be, but it’s receded a mile or more from there. Sam and I walked out to where it is now and it took about an hour to get there. In case you missed this.
She did lap after lap in the water that barely came over her ankles. Just ran and ran in the water and out of it. It sounded like a herd of Buffalo. Well it’s what she said it sounded like.

It’s mostly barren lake bed out there but I thought they were interesting looking. I wonder what I would find if I took a metal detector out there. Or at the dam where water used to be. People swim with things in their pockets that fall out. But hopefully we get enough water this year to cover it again.

Great bird photos SP! Crowned Crane was love at first sight for me. Whaddabird! Like so much, they have a weird Ibis too in Madagascar. Short legs and bill compared to most, only 20" long, and a forest pond dweller.
Thanks for the great pics!

It is a collection of some of my semi-recent dragonfly pics. Though a few I may have posted here, in general they are bigger with better resolution.
Too cold for dragons here lately. We had 16F one morn this week. We also had 80F one day!
Be well all!

@janis b
yeah Janis, they are mating. The term 'in copu' is commonly used with dragonflies in particular. The pair was in copu. As in, in copulation. I can't believe how flexible the body segments are to do it. When you see them they are little pinner needles. Straight as an arrow.
Are those two Threadtails performing a mating dance?

The well in the center of the forked path
is perfectly idyllic looking. It all looks so cosy, even from the cold outside.

Nope
