From John's note below the clip:

Omicron, Guess work so far

More transmissibility
Some vaccine escape
Some natural infection escape
Causing reinfections in SA in people that had had infection and vaccination
Mostly mild symptoms in the vaccinated
Effecting younger people
Sinovac recipients may do well
Global within the week
Lateral flow tests still work
Every vaccinated and unvaccinated person will encounter this variant

Tiredness, headache, body aches, scratchy throat, dry cough

We're finding an increasing number of variant cases all around Europe, and in fact we believe that the introduction of those variants has been ongoing for a few weeks already

What we are also seeing is that there are now first cases of community transmission, so it's within Europe, and the travel bans will probably delay the spread of the disease a little bit but will not be able to hold it up

we don't have any evidence to suggest it can provoke more serious illness or evade the protective effect of vaccines in a major way

[video:https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ls7zy6_0Z2s]

So John thinks this variant may be our ticket out of this crazy situation.

Interesting how TPTB are trying to hype the fear over a variant which may get us to herd immunity.

Take care and be well!

Pharma mouthpieces are blaming the unvaxxed for the new moronic variant now here in the states, but it seems that they are being created in countries not located in the states…and still the best way to stop that happening is to get jabbed with something that isn’t working for the already jabbed. Umm okay.

Utah released its new numbers of people who died and 10/17 were in the already jabbed. Oh but of course they had numerous comorbidities…welp wasn’t that why they were the first jabbed since they were so vulnerable?

Dawn's Meta's picture

Here's one update of statistics from the Economist. Current average excess deaths:

Average deaths vrs current

following is an update of Part 1 - countries and states with early treatment or low mandates:
- Europe...Czechia, Slovakia,
- India...Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, with millions; other states in India?
- Japan...has just chucked the 'vaccines' out in favor of Ivermectin. See that in MSM?
- Africa...Zimbabewe, South Africa, Nanibia, the large middle sixty (60)% has been on Ivermectin for years to treat parasites. Many have said that the northern countries have hoarded the shots, which they have. The predictions were that underserved countries would have high levels of COVID. They have not. Rather they might be better off.
- South America/Central America...Panama, which countries? Peru? Chile?
- Florida...US. FLCCC doctor in Florida is free to prescribe Ivermectin. Cases are no worse than locked down California. There might be other states and cities which do not punish doctors from using preventatives, and treatments.
- Us states... North (?) Dakota, Texas, others with liberal treatment policies or lack of mandates? Some are quiet but allow for early treatment.
- South east Asia...?Philippines, Indonesia?
- Sweden...is an unusual situation. They have not mandated shots, although uptake is fairly high. But there have been no lockdowns; schools are open; people are carrying on normally. More on this? Ivermectin?

Any other countries or areas come to mind? I would love to get a single list together.
ETA: Mexico...high Ivermectin countries.
Bangladesh...poor country, with greatly better metrics than the US
- Vietnam...
- South Africa...

Part 2 - Countries and states with high injection rates.
We could always create the other side of the coin: the highly vaccinated countries and states. For example:
- Singapore...
- Scotland...
- Iceland...
- Portugal...
- Gibraltar...over 100% shots, and they are cancelling Christmas because of COVID surges.
- Israel...suddenly dropped out of sight with the third and fourth shots. How are they doing?
- US States...with mandates not doing so well. Vermont, Hawaii, Others?
- Australia...they are hardly bumping the numbers above average yearly deaths, cases. But totalitarian lockdown and mandates.
- New Zealand...another country with few deaths, in lockdown.
- Other highly injected countries??

Statement of Harvey A. Risch, MD, PhD
Professor of Epidemiology, Yale School of Public Health

Senators and colleagues: thank you for convening this hearing. We all understand the endemic disease that we are facing, that we have to face it head-on and not hide from it hoping that it will go away. I want to give you my perspective.

In May of this year I observed that results of studies of a drug suggested to treat Covid, hydroxychloroquine, were being misrepresented by what I thought at the time was sloppy reporting. We have heard from Dr. McCullough how Covid disease progresses in phases, from viral replication, to florid pneumonia to multi-organ attack. Viral replication is an outpatient condition, but the pneumonia that fills the lungs with immune-system debris is hospitalizable and potentially life-threatening. We have also heard how each phase, each pathologic aspect of the disease, has to have its own specific treatments that apply to its own biologic mechanisms. Thus, I was frankly astounded that studies of hospital treatments were being represented as applying to outpatients, in violation of what I learned in medical school about how to treat patients.

We are now finally coming to address why over the last six months, our government research institutions have invested billions of dollars in expensive patent medication and vaccine development but almost nothing in early outpatient treatment, the first line of response to managing the pandemic. It is not that we lacked candidate medications to study, we have had a number of promising agents. But I believe that the early-on conflation of hospital with outpatient disease served to imply that treatment of outpatient disease had been studied and found ineffective. This illogical premise motivated me to look at the evidence for outpatient treatment.

The British "Daily Telegraph" reported that the president of the South African Medical Association, Angelique Coetzee, revealed that she found the abnormality as early as November 18. The symptoms are mild and the sense of smell and taste is not lost.

The cases she came into contact with were of different backgrounds and races, and most of them were young people. Among them, a 6-year-old child had a fast pulse and a high body temperature, but after 2 days of follow-up, the patient's condition improved a lot. Among her patients, about 24 tested positive for the virus. Most of the patients were men and felt exhausted. About half of them were not vaccinated.

Kurz said, "It manifests as a mild disease, with symptoms such as muscle soreness and fatigue for one or two days. So far, we have found that those infected do not lose their sense of taste or smell. They may have mild symptoms. Some infected people have no obvious symptoms, and some are currently receiving treatment at home.”

Kuz said that the current South African hospitals are not burdened by new strains of the virus, but they are also worried that this may be harmful to people with diabetes and heart disease. The elderly who have not been vaccinated with other diseases have a greater impact.

Kurz also said that the virus will indeed spread, but for now, "we don't know why there are so many exaggerated reports. Everything is still under investigation.

Perhaps another piece of the puzzle in this morass.

My spouse works for a large hospital group. She observed that
early-on in the 'advertised pandemic' last year, the 'non-profit' company
laid off about a 1/4 of their staff.

Seems counter-intuitive.

Any ideas why? I have some theories. But it doesn't make sense.

If this is indeed a concerted effort to diminish health care solutions, then
perhaps it does make some sense. Otherwise, it's about money I guess.

Azazello posted this in last night’s EBs. Hedge funds have been buying hospitals all over the country and then closing them because of reasons. Like not enough money being made from them and I’m betting that there are some nefarious ones too. We are told that we have to get jabbed in order to take the stress off of hospitals and in the daily scare tactic news reports we’re told that hospitals don’t have enough beds and might have to resort to triaging who gets treated or not. Gee I wonder why hospitals are more stressed now even though they are seeing less people than at the start of the epidemic? Oh I know…CEOs have closed more hospitals and laid off lots of medical staff creating the debacle.

Another thing sadistic rich people have been doing is buying out private doctor practices and having them work for their hospitals creating even more backlogs for people to get treated. That’s part of the nefarious things they have been doing.

Heh hope that answers your questions?

is largely a function of Alabama's refusal to take the Obumer Care medicaid expansion money.
https://www.nbcnews.com/healthmain/states-losing-billions-refusing-expan...

Their calculations show that by 2022, Florida would lose more than $5 billion and Georgia would forgo $4.9 billion. They also looked at what Medicaid brings to states in comparison to two other giant federal programs – federal highway funds and defense funds.

The report projects that Alabama would bring in $2.1 billion in federal funds from expanding Medicaid; $975 million in federal highway funds and $10.4 billion in defense procurement contracts.

notice where the big money is. Says alot.

72 Percent of All Rural Hospital Closures Are in States That Rejected the Medicaid Expansion
States that refused Obamacare's Medicaid expansion are hemorrhaging hospitals in rural areas.

https://www.gq.com/story/rural-hospitals-closing-in-red-states

The only state that bucked this trend was Utah, where rural hospitals were among the most profitable in the country thanks to a policy of shifting funds and resources from urban hospitals. Only 14 percent of rural hospitals operated at a loss and none shut down over the same time period.

The PTB have been asset stripping the country since Reagan if not before. Clinton helped them by signing NAFTA and seeing jobs being sent offshore, then setup banks to fail which Obama dutifully bailed them out and then transferred $39 trillion more to them as did Trump. Congress gave them $5 trillion more that we know of and now they’re in business to take people’s homes again. It’s not just the GOP who is to blame. Democrats have been their partners in crime since Clinton helped democrats become whores to the Koch brothers, Wall Street and big businesses. Next they helped McConnell stack the courts with judges from the federalist society to do more of the PTB's agendas. I’m sick of it all!

Mass vaccination fails to halt Covid transmission rates – study

Successful vaccine rollouts have failed to stop Covid transmission, with new data showing the prevalence of the virus increasing in fully jabbed individuals, according to a medical study in The Lancet.
Examining new infections in Germany, researchers found that the rate of cases among fully vaccinated individuals has risen from 16.9% in July to 58.9% in October.

Offering a clear assessment that fully vaccinated people are increasingly becoming the source of Covid transmission, the study identified a similar situation in the UK. Throughout Britain, the number of household contacts exposed to unvaccinated cases (23%) was slightly lower than the number exposed to vaccinated individuals (25%).

In the space of three weeks in Britain, 100 Covid cases were reported among individuals who are 60 or older. Out of those infections, 89.7% of people were fully vaccinated, while 3.4% were unvaccinated.

More concerning for researchers, in Israel, an outbreak that infected multiple healthcare workers and patients, as well as their family members, came from a fully vaccinated hospital patient.

This isn’t new information from the lancet. I think I posted a tweet on this yesterday, but it’s getting more eyes on it so maybe the jabbed will stop blaming the unjabbed soon. Both Fauci and Walensky have stated that vaccines do not stop transmission. It blows out the need for mandates and passports too. LA just imposed rules for who can go to bars, gyms and concerts that have more than 5,000 people. I think that this virus is very smart cuz it doesn’t infect people whilst they are eating and drinking or work places with less than 100 employees or jabbed people before a certain time before the curfew.

Here's how CBS reported the news:

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and health authorities in California confirmed the first case of COVID-19 linked to the newly discovered variant Omicron in the U.S. on Wednesday, saying an individual who had recently returned from South Africa tested positive for the strain.

The traveler was fully vaccinated and is experiencing "mild symptoms that are improving" and has been self-quarantining since testing positive, the CDC said in a statement. The person's close contacts have been contacted by health authorities and tested negative.

The health agency said the emergence of the variant "emphasizes the importance of vaccination, boosters, and general prevention strategies needed to protect against COVID-19. Everyone 5 and older should get vaccinated boosters are recommended for everyone 18 years and older."

.

South African health officials sounded the alarm over the variant on November 25.

Since then, more than 20 countries around the worldhave spotted at least one case of the strain. Now count the days and think about that.

This from Dr. Fauci:

"This is the first confirmed case of COVID-19 caused by the Omicron variant detected in the United States. As all of you know, of course we've been discussing this, we knew that it was just a matter of time before the first case of Omicron would be detected in the United States," Dr. Anthony Fauci, the president's chief medical adviser, told reporters at a White House briefing.

Fauci said he was not aware of any other potential Omicron cases being investigated by the CDC in the country. He said Americans should continue following CDC guidance to prevent the spread of the variant, and urged those who are fully vaccinated to "get boosted now," saying the extra dose likely conveys some level of protection against the variant.

"There's every reason to believe that that kind of increase that you get with the boost would be helpful at least in preventing severe disease of a variant like Omicron," he said.

"We may not need a variant-specific boost.

"We're preparing for the possibility that we need a variant-specific boost."

.

Whatever. By my calculation, in three weeks the US will be immersed in the Omicron crisis.

Here are the reasons behind my thinking:

• The Omicron-infected traveler had been fully vaccinated with Moderna's COVID-19 vaccine less than six months ago

• California's governor said on Wednesday, that the patient was not yet eligible to receive a booster shot.

• How exactly vaccines perform against the variant remains unclear. Thus, no scientist is willing to speculate and sound a warning to the American people. However, as highlighted in yellow, above, ófficial'scientists are willing to speculate that vaccinated persons are unlikely to spread the virus after being infected with it.

• Although the Omicron variant has mutations that could enable it to be more transmissible and evade the body's defenses, scientists say it could take weeks to verify in test tubes the variant's risk. Meanwhile, Don't worry. Be happy.

• On "Face the Nation" on Sunday, Dr. Scott Gottlieb, a former commissioner of the Food and Drug Administration and a member of Pfizer's board, conveyed confidence in the vaccines. — "People who have looked closely at this sequence ... those individuals feel reasonably confident that three doses of vaccine is going to be protective," Gottlieb said. "Now, that could give a really strong impetus to trying to get more people boosted."

• According to auto club AAA, over 53 million Americans were estimated to have traveled for the Thanksgiving holiday, an increase from last year. Now, 'exceptional' Americans are gearing up for the largest Christmas traveling extravaganza in years.

• The Food and Drug Administration says current COVID-19 tests will likely remain accurate in detecting infections by the variants, despite a quirk known as "S-Gene Target Failure" that had also been seen in earlier strains.

::

File this under "The Horse has Left the Barn":

The discovery comes as the Biden administration is mulling tougher restrictions on international travel, part of a new strategy to curb the virus that Mr. Biden plans to announce on Thursday, (tomorrow).

In a journal I subscribe to, Medpage Today, one such scientist was featured today:

Why Top Virologist Is Concerned About Omicron
— Trevor Bedford, PhD, says the new variant "feels like January 2020 all over again"

MedPage Today December 1, 2021

For virologist Trevor Bedford, PhD, the past week has felt like January 2020 all over again.

In those earliest days of the pandemic, as early modeling data on the transmissibility of the novel coronavirus started to roll in, "it was pretty clear what would happen," he said.

"It was fairly easy to realize with those numbers that we were actually now on planet B, though so much of the world still thought we were on planet A," added Bedford, who was one of the first experts to raise alarms about community spread in the U.S. "When we got to March 2020, it became very obvious that we were on planet B now."

Bedford spoke during a virtual panel hosted by his employer, Fred Hutch, a cancer research center in Seattle. He and other researchers were interviewed by Fred Hutch president and director Thomas Lynch Jr., MD, as well as comedian Trevor Noah, host of "The Daily Show." Bedford made those previous remarks to Noah.

Bedford also told Noah that researchers back in January 2020 weren't willing to make calls despite the evidence mounting before them.

"This phrase that I hate is, 'There is no evidence that...'" Bedford said. "'There's no evidence that the Alpha variant is more severe,' or 'There's no evidence that masks work.' When, really, it's that you don't have firm, hard evidence where you can say, 'Yes, this is definitely the case.'"

"But you should, with the mix of evidence that you have, be able to say, 'Yes, we suspect that masks do work,' or 'We suspect that the Alpha variant is more severe,'" he noted.

"People aren't willing to walk out on a limb enough [when it comes to] what they actually think," he added.

Bedford also described to Noah what it was like to be at the forefront of getting coronavirus testing up and running in the U.S., noting that in February 2020, his lab had samples that indicated community spread but "we were being told not to test them."

"We did anyway and discovered community transmission," he continued. "By genome sequencing of the virus, we were able to tell there were about 1,000 infections at that point rather than just one."

So why is Bedford concerned about Omicron? He told Lynch that the number of mutations in the spike protein is "kind of wild."

...

"As soon as people were able to see that genome, it looked striking, it looked worrisome," he noted.
...

"If you look at case counts over time, you get maybe three times the current rate of spread of Delta," he explained.

...

The changes in the genome and the rapid rise in cases "have people very concerned for good reason."

...

"We could get lucky and three doses will still protect against infection quite well.

...

It's also possible, he added, that three doses won't confer protection against infection, but will prevent severe disease.

...

Small hopes, aside — Bedford made a strong call that there will never be a "post-COVID" world.

"People need to realize that it's going to be around forever," he said. "Every year, just like we have flu season, there will be COVID season. It's going to be a thing that we have to deal with every year."

"We'll be working on better vaccines, on better ventilation, and on antivirals," he promised.

.

But, still.... We need to get real.

Powerful. It’s a bad drug and many people know it was bad before they started giving it to people with Covid. Same thing with Merck’s drug. It gave animals in the trials cancer and if I recall correctly it was not authorized for the treatment it was created for. But the FDA just approved it anyway while refusing to look at the many other repurposed drugs that doctors have been having success with.

Look at what’s happening.
- People who get pneumonia are being put on ventilators even though that wasn’t the treatment for it before. Antibiotics and other drugs were used.

- They are getting Remdesivir instead of the repurposed drugs that doctors have had success with.

- They are told to get jabbed even though they are causing a lot of heart attacks, strokes, neurological problems and organ damage instead of the repurposed drugs that doctors have had success with.

- Doctors who have been successfully treating people with repurposed drugs are being told to stop using them or they will lose their jobs.

- The people in charge of making the rules for treatment know that people are dying from them, but don’t seem to care.

As Lily Tomlin said, "No matter how cynical you become, it's never enough to keep up.""
