On Wisconsin! Actual primary results versus the spin
Tomorrow is a yuuuge day for the Sanders’ campaign. Currently, it looks like he will win this primary (according to polls and positive feedback from other sources other than big media); please keep your fingers crossed and positive thoughts. This win is critical to keep the big MO going and to help us fight the good fight against the establishment. Moreover, this victory will give our campaign 2 weeks in preparation for a major campaign milestone- winning New York. Which would be a game changer- even if only by 1 vote.
Okay in my mind, I think he will win this primary from 2 to 10 points. Ranging from 51 (Sanders) to 49 (Clinton) to 55 (S) to 45 (C). However, no matter what the results unless is it a major blow out- at least 25 points or more, the media will spin the loss for a victory for Clinton. The following is the narrative is what I predict for the Sanders victory:
- Sanders squeaks out a victory against Clinton- results were much closer than expected.
- Sanders should have easily won this state, it was tailored made for him- white liberal voter state with few minority voters. Not enough delegates to overcome the delegate difference.
- This was an open primary, so all the independents and younger people voted for him, “true” democrats voted for Hillary.
- The Clinton campaign did not campaign that hard for this state, so they expected to lose but keep it closer than planned.
- So what, Sanders did not earn too many delegates to overcome the massive delegate difference in the overall race, he should drop out of the race.
Therefore, please continue to ignore the media (Hillary inc.) and look at the results and celebrate no matter what the outcome.
Finally, if you want true change in this country think about fighting the establishment and against the spin (tell your friends and family the truth and keep others educated). Please use other social media communication channels to help negate the negative media that will be the outcome of Sanders’ victory.

There is only a 5% difference in pledged delegates

this picture- simple and easy to counter act the false narrative.
I'm sorry but
Anyone who doesn't understand that the superdelegates are going to vote for Hillary no matter what are going to be horribly shocked to learn our democracy is bought and paid for. It doesn't matter if Bernie wins out big time, they're paid for. That's their entire reason for being. To allow money to buy the vote. Their vote.
They may.
And that will be the de facto end of the Democratic Party. I can't imagine a more Pyrrhic victory. (Not that that will dissuade them.)

Pyrrhic is what Dems do best.

It may be a done deal
But maybe there is a way to petition/protest this practice before it is done. And, then conflageration.... = (
Well, if that happens after Bernie has won more
pledged delegates, she'll definitely need a lot of republicans to vote for her.
Cynicism
Your view is the view of a cynic. You may be right and Debbie the Disaster has said exactly what you say. However, if Bernie wins the majority of pledged delegates even by a small majority and if the super delegates throw the election to Hillary as you think they might, then the Democratic Party will cease to exist as a real Party. Progressives will leave in droves as will those who simply believe in fair play and majority rule. This election is like none I have ever seen and I've been voting for about 55 years. Bernie has really started a revolution. At first I thought this statement was hyperbole, but I've since become convinced that it is a fact.
I started a recurring contribution to him in May 2015 and have steadily increased it until it is now ten times the original amount. I doubt I am alone in this behavior and, therefore, think this fact should give some credence to the belief that we are a movement. With the Panama Papers I think we can expect even more outrage at the worldwide corruption with definite spillover here. Even the elites will have to think twice about such outrageous behavior. I know they know no shame, but even the Clintons, Kochs, et. al., must realize that there are limits to open corruption. If they are as arrogant and blind as they seem to be, then maybe we will have third and fourth parties starting next year. As the Chinese curse has it, we are living in interesting times.

-Socialism: the radical idea of sharing.
-Those who make peaceful revolution impossible will make violent revolution inevitable.

Is this comment for me?
If so I am just trying to be ready and real. We need to prepare for the worse and hope for the best. That is why I am sharing. To fight the fight, you must be prepared to outcome all barriers placed before you. The media and establishment are tired of us and want us to go way, well no more. You are right we must be prepare for a new party if Sanders does not overcome everything that is put against him.
Sorry But It's Hard to Tell Sometimes
Borkrom,
The comment "Cynicism" was in reply to Scott Crowder. I agree with you. I am simply making the point to Scott Crowder that cynicism may not be the best view of what is happening now. The attitude of the "little people" is one of anger, distrust, and loathing which will be reflected in voting this time. Both Bernie and Trump reflect this repudiation of politics-as-usual. Trump for the emotional and violent, Bernie for the more rational and less violent. (There are probably better descriptions of the voters, but I can't come up with them right now.) Anyway, we are in terra incognita right now and, as you say, we need to prepare for the worst and hope for the best. So Oliver will either get more porridge by following the rules or he will have to find another, effective way. Good avatar.

C99 essay
Bernie's biggest ally in WI is the Clinton Campaign
One great thing as we go on to Wisconsin is that Hillary & Friends really make it easy to campaign because given an opponent with terminal Foot and Mouth disease, who really needs to campaign?
On Politico: Clinton camp: Wisconsin win won't help Sanders much
HRC's top internal pollster essentially tells WI that they don't matter; it's a VERY white state, with NO DIVERSITY, and HRC is all about DIVERSITY so it's really not a good state for her, and besides, it's such a tiny insignificant state, even a landslide victory won't put a dent in Hillary's delegate totals.
His words, not mine.

The spinning is going on big time
To me this article and statement shows that Wisconsin could be an issue for Clinton. The loss might be bigger, so they tell people do not worry about it.
Ignore the man behind the curtain.
They should give him a landslide
Just for gp. I mean she is in an election and supposedly wants their vote come November but basically says they mean nothing to her? So as president she is going to treat them how?
Hoping for more...
I'm hoping they are underestimating the youth vote and we win by larger margins tomorrow. The polls are"likely" voters.
“Until justice rolls down like water and righteousness like a mighty stream.”
Projected headline:
"Sanders wins big, but Clinton maintains huge lead"
That was literally the headline in the Minneapolis StarTribune last week. I'm sure we'll see it at least a few more times.
"The real power is in the hands of small groups of people and I don't think they have titles. -- Bob Dylan"
Well, that was quick.
Some jackass named Kos just posted an article under this headline at TOP:
"Tuesday outlook: Bernie probably wins the day, but not closer to the big prize"
"The real power is in the hands of small groups of people and I don't think they have titles. -- Bob Dylan"
And then we'll get...
...Sanders Win Presidency in Landslide. Good News for John McCain!
I want my two dollars!
That "Good news for John McCain" quote will always
get a rec and a smile from me. Regardless of when, where, context, etc. That and "Morans".
"Just call me Hillbilly Dem(exit)."

You know what I would dearly love to see
in a Sanders' presidency? Before breaking up the media conglomerates, I would like all of his press conferences, etc. to be given to alternate media first (think TYT) and let mainstream in after lunch or get it from Alts. = )

The only way HRC's fans will ever admit defeat is when the Secret Services hauls her away for trying to stand between Bernie and Justice Roberts on the podium on inauguration day.
Trust me, HRC is going to go full Kanye if she loses.

Well of course the fucking loser did
I just got a time out at TOP because of a comment thread I got into with one of the cherished ones over there. Dude/dudette wouldn't answer a simple question and kept queebing shit to get out of admitting they were wrong. Anyway, told them Fuck You and that was that. Knew it was gonna happen and glad I did it. The coolaid drinkers run the joint over there, and personally I'll take a beer or a glass of red any day over that Shit. AMF Kos.
I'm just hoping the students can vote.
Walker's voter-ID laws are particularly harsh, and were designed to prevent students in particular from voting. University ID isn't good enough: under the new law they need special ID that can only be obtained with an extra trip to the relevant office, proof of enrollment, and possibly other crap I've forgotten. If our core voters haven't had a chance to jump all the hoops, or weren't aware of them, things could get ugly tomorrow.
I keep telling myself that anyone who's gotten involved enough to make a point of voting tomorrow will have made sure that they can, particularly given the news about voter suppression elsewhere this year. But it's still making me nervous.
And sure as rain
The jist of Kos' new story is Bernie may win big, but Hillary's lead remains huge. Just as you thought. Predictable.
Broken clock is right twice a day
If you keep saying the same story over and over you might be right once in awhile.
I would not be surprised to see a result similar to Minnesota...
...where Senator Sanders defeated Secretary Clinton 61.6% - 38.4%, a 23.2% margin, given the vast similarities shared by our two states. While Minnesota vote was a closed caucus, it also featured same-day registration and same-day Party affiliation change. However, we also don't feature Wisconsin-level voter suppression, so I guess it will depend on how well the Sanders campaign can get out the vote and what can be done to overcome any election day voting obstacles...
I want my two dollars!
23.2% victory. YET...
Only 2 of our super delegates have come out for Bernie. Ellison and Collin Peterson. And Collins is somewhat wishy-washy.
We need to encourage him to go to the convention.
Also, please consider calling your super delegates rep's who've endorsed Hillary the Horrible and giving them a piece of your mind.

That is a crazy system
Thanks for sharing but that is bizarre. I wonder how much they had to drink before they came up with that silly formula.
I don't know, but the fact that 19 of the delegates
are selected by a committee of party insiders doesn't give me the warm and fuzzies. WTF is that? From the article, it's unclear whether there are any restrictions on who those at-large delegates are supposed to support at the convention, but it sounds as if there are not. In other words, the committee could just give all 19 to HRC supporters.
But I'm not sure whether that's correct or not ... or whether the at-large are proportional, and then the committee chooses the appropriate numbers from pools of applicants who pledge to support the respective candidates.
