Let's talk about hypocrisy regarding Cuba

Oh that had to hit the spot.
You want more? Consider how much the U.S. wants to help Cuba.
See we want to send them our vaccines. How nice of us.
There's just one catch.
Oh, right! Cuba's vaccines are better than ours. Yet we can't get their vaccines because of capitalism.
Is that not enough for you? You want more?
How about this.
You see, we care deeply about the rights of people to protest...as long as they aren't Americans.
OK. Let's do one more, but make it outside of the United States.
BBC cares deeply about press freedom. Trust us.

You had to know this was coming
The next election won't be the Dem's fault
Russia's behavior is appalling.
We would never interfere in Russia's internal affairs (Navalny? Who dat?) or try to influence their policies (it's raining sanctions!!) or disrupt their capitalist business dealings (we must stop Nord Stream 2 at all costs!!!). How dare they violate the sanctity of our sovereign elections?!?!
Capitalist says to literally treat workers like dogs
The Chinese government
pulls people out of poverty by giving them homes, better and higher paying jobs, subsidized education and universal health care. The US pushes people into poverty by forcing them from their homes, preventing wage increases, increasing the cost of education and restricting health care to those who can pay.
But 85% of Americans still say the USA is the "Greatest country in the world". Maybe that's because America ranks 26th to China's 1st in education ranking?

Preparing for the midterms maybe?
The Republicans are Russian agents!
The Progressives are Russian agents!
The Greens are Russian agents!
The Young are all Russian agents!
Give me the red button!
Mr President, that was Jen Psaki's cell phone; you just ordered a pizza.
On to Biden since 1973
Yes, Cuba has been the whipping dog of US policy
almost since forever. It would be so much more peaceful to sell them Haiti and
Puerto Rico and call it a (with) draw. As in withdraw from Guantánamo. Then leave the
nation alone, without the sanctified sanctions. Send the CIA war mongers elsewhere.
Just because they are socialized and in the proximity of Florida does not make
them an enemy deserving of the US stink eye. Give it up. Stop making enemies.
They don’t want Hawaiians to be able to imagine an O.K. future
steering their own course, open to friendly relations with, but nonetheless independent of, the U.S.
They don’t want Tahiti or New Caledonia to be able to imagine a future not being ruled by France.
Whenever a Cuba, or other left-populist government in Latin America or the Arabic-speaking regions, is successful in any way, the US-EU-Five-Eyes-NATO bloc’s neo-colonial / neoliberal model of “democracy” is shown to be a rigged game and a sham. Can’t be allowed!
Hard to call it hypocrisy anymore
Our government runs on lies, our press has devolved into a bunch of influencers, our leaders are capitalist tools and doing the right thing only applies to their own well being. We need a better word.
I might not
always agree with you, but Dude
You’re Priceless for info/analysis

Re:Cuba
I highly, highly recommend season two of the podcast The Blowback. They are doing a deep dive into the US’s Cuba history. Last episode is just past the Bay of Pigs and inching towards the missile crisis. I knew very little of this but, whew, I really can’t be cynical enough. I’m starting to believe studying Cuba unlocks a lot of US foreign policy since.
Idolizing a politician is like believing the stripper really likes you.
Thanks for info
I cry for Cuba
There are a handful of owner-class Cuban expats that want their property back, and poor Cubans working for them again for peanuts. Make Cuba great again as it was before Castro, with gambling, prostitution, corruption and organized crime, but a great vacation spot for wealthy Americans. For this, we make Cuba economically sweat.
Capitalism has always been the rule of the people by the oligarchs. You only have two choices, eliminate them or restrict their power.
