Fantastic display of your local wildlife.
Take a bow.
May I be too bold as to ask for audio next time?
Well done!

Regardless of the path in life I chose, I realize it's always forward, never straight.

I’ve never seen or ever could have imagined more variety and colour of bird life anywhere. Thank you!

That makes my feeder look a bit boring but I will still maintain it.

birds we know from the Pacific Northwest of the US. The Orioles were a surprise. The silver blue birds are lovely. And the pale green birds are fun to watch with their recurved beaks.

The YouTube channel has the comments with the names of most birds, which is a huge help. The Squirrel is so typical of feeder platforms in Oregon. I will send to my friend who has developed many barriers to Squirrel raiders.

The rain and temperatures must be perfect for lush tree and plant growth as well as flowers, fruits and insects. Looks so nice.

Thanks again.

A society grows great when old men plant trees in whose shade they know they shall never sit. Allegedly Greek, but more possibly fairly modern quote.

@Dawn's Meta

particular video was one that gave the names in an overlay. I'll have to find that one and post it.

on our patio and in my new little garden place. What a treat. Thank you. Had no idea that birds like to eat bananas and bread.

Many thanks and have a good Sunday.

@mimi

there is enough other food that feeding a little regular bread probably wouldn't hurt. That is a rainforest, so those birds co-evolved with all kinds of fruit bearing trees and bushes that rely upon them to be seed dispersers. Dunno how it would work elsewhere. All that fruit also attracts bugs, but the local environment is full of bug eaters too.

I thought we had tanagers, the summer and the scarlet, but nothing like the variety in Costa Rica.

@Lookout

number and variety of tanagers is just too much. Central America for Tanagers and and Africa for Starlings, I've tentatively decided.

@enhydra lutris He used to send me pics all the time when he was down there.
Sigh.
If and when the COVID virus poops out, me and mine go to CR.

intereconnected thermal pools heated by the volcano's magma down below, they stem from one source so keep getting cooler and cooler as you progress through them. You can sit in them with a beverage from the floating bar and watch Arenal spit out occasional boulders that go bouncing down the mountain side while emitting smoke. If you stay there (we didn't) you can catch the show at night which is supposed to be really something.

@enhydra lutris trip that the tour company offered, but I had to get back to work.
Perhaps next time I go, will rent a car.
I am very concerned about driving in any foreign country. There are tons of local guides who could take us there.
COVID has to settle down before I board a plane.

ago. I'm sure that they are plentiful. Another fun place is La Selva, an ecolodge with buildings on stilts, each one having multiple rooms all connected by elevated covered walkways. The cool part is that there are a lot of bats that roost in the walkway roofs and hunt the walkways for bugs that are attracted to the lighting. They'll go zipping past at random.
