Michelle Alexander's interview that can win the black vote for Bernie

Dear progressives,

this is my first post. I am not a native English speaker, so I rather like to read, not to write. I leave my comfort zone, because I saw a video with Michelle Alexander that explains why black folks so far voted in the majority for Hillary, and give a very convincing argument why they should now support Bernie. Her analysis of the how the establishment attempted to divide populist movements (using the race card) is fantastic. She explains why and how people like Trump but also Clinton, Markos etc use the race card to divide and conquer populist movements.

I believe, if we can share this with enough black folks, we will win the black vote in New York and beyond - and then Bernie will win the next primairies!

Beautifully written and a powerful message

I don't even like the phrase, "The black vote".

I would like to see Bernie win the votes of those African Americans whose values and priorities align better with Bernie's political philosophy than with HRC's. I believe that would represent a majority of all African Americans (including the fraction who, for whatever mysterious reasons, vote Republican), but I could be wrong.

You are right. "Black vote"

You are right. "Black vote" is a category which we should transcend. Michelle is exactly doing this. That is one of the reasons why her analysis is so great.
