It has to stop.
All of you who have not said a damn word are complicit in this. It’s too much. Yes, fight for every legal vote. Go through your legal process. … Death threats, physical threats, intimidation, it’s too much. It’s not right. They have lost the moral high ground to claim that it is.
Freeing the productive forces from the constraints of the capitalist for-profit system and expropriating the wealth of the rich are urgent and immediate necessities, required to combat the pandemic and save millions of lives.

As long as we are not united we will be slaves to the oligarchy.

I would describe the WEF as a combination capitalist consulting firm and gigantic lobby. The futuristic predictions are designed to guide investors into profitable areas in what Schwab calls “the Fourth Industrial Revolution (4IR)” and then, as the areas are defined, to put pressure on governments to support such investments by way of subsidies, tax breaks, procurements, regulations and legislation. In short, the WEF is the lobby for new technologies, digital everything, artificial intelligence, transhumanism.
Va, Pensiero"
Go, thoughts, on golden wings;
Go, settle upon the slopes and hills,
where warm and soft and fragrant are
the breezes of our sweet native land!
Greet the banks of the Jordan,
the towers of Zion ...
Oh my country so beautiful and lost!
Or so dear yet unhappy!
Or harp of the prophetic seers,
why do you hang silent from the willows?
Rekindle the memories within our hearts,
tell us about the time that have gone by
Or similar to the fate of Solomon,
give a sound of lament;
or let the Lord inspire a concert
That may give to endure our suffering.

Good morning, magiamma. On Friday
Trump is coming to Georgia for a rally pouring salt on the wound of madness he has infected his cult followers with. Ostensibly he is coming to support Georgia’s two Republican senators in their re-election battle. I worry what other extracurricular activities he might get up to.

howdy lol
I just saw this but it came out a couple of days ago.
Flynn Shares Call for Trump to Declare Martial Law and Make Military Oversee New Election
And if a Military takeover of a new election does not work then Flynn is calling for civil war. How much traction this has I do not know. Beyond the pale imho. T also pleaded with the Supremes to stop the vote (whatever that means).
Fearmongering much? I worry too. Who knew it could devolve into such madness. Take good care.

Right now, at 5:25 pm. Rudy Giuliano is asking
the Georgia legislature to set aside the votes and appoint electors who will go to the Electoral College, thus disenfranchising us. What’s next? Declare Perdue and Loeffler winners of the Jan. 5, 2021 runoff?

I am not sure that the GA legislator can reappoint electors.

The SCOTUS had no business
stopping the vote recount in Florida, but they did. Nothing would surprise me, although Georgia Republicans don’t seem disposed to do so.

They can according o the constitution
This is of course ridiculous, but we live in a (deeply) flawed democracy.
Capitalism has always been the rule of the people by the oligarchs. You only have two choices, eliminate them or restrict their power.
Wizard is correct, I think.
That they could. But they would also have the option to decline to appoint any electors at all.
Which might be the ethical thing to do if when things are, as they appear, to be so screwed up as to make it impossible to determine what the legitimate outcome is - at least in the time frame available.
Maybe a slate of electors pledged to Scooby Doo or Alfred E. Neumann would be appropriate.
Also, the governor and secretary of state have to sign off on the official physical document (Certificate of Ascertainment) designating the state's electors. So it looks like either could effectively block their state's electors from participating in the EC vote by declining to sign.
Arguably, they are empowered to appoint electors.
Arguably, regardless of the Supreme's half-assed decision in Gore, they can only appoint 2 electors if the entire populace is deprived of the right to vote.
They start with one elector per senator and one per representative, then, have all of their representatives taken away for abridging the right to vote via the process of ignoring the votes cast, and thus also have all the electors taken away except maybe those based on their senatoprs.
Other amendments have expanede this to include women, etc.

As to your intro...did you hear Trumpolini yesterday? He cannot and will not admit defeat.
I could only stomach a bit of his "most important speech ever".

All the crops seem fine under their cover. Next freeze isn't till Monday, so I'll probably uncover everything later today.
Thanks for the OT and hope everyone has a good day!

hola lo
No I did not watch Tramp-on-us-alini. Read enough to get the gist. The net 0 video is so cute and great. Going to pass it on to the climate folks here. Love it.
Paul Carter on Net 0 (thanks for this)
Well, there you have it. Front row seats. Love the ones your with. Thanks again. Take good care.

Paul Carter is right
Except that it's much worse. We can support a large global herd of humans on open field agriculture based on a narrow range of maximum temperatures, but even more important - predictable weather. I think that chaotic weather will drastically reduce yield long before high summer temperatures permanently reduce yields. Russia is now the largest exporter of grain in the world, another fabulous yield this past growing season. In 2010 they had a disastrous year and terminated all wheat exports.
We have almost no control over CO2 emissions as they continue to increase, despite agreements like the Paris accords. We have over 1000 gT of excess CO2 in the atmosphere and are producing another 40 gT every year. We have no believable plan to stop this. The planet has not reached temperature equilibrium at the current 415 ppm CO2, and needs a fever to do that. Add in positive reinforcing feedback loops and you can see why folks like me are very pessimistic. The good news is that the one major problem to concentrate on is CO2, for now, but we have a narrow window and nothing significant is being done to solve the problem. The amount of money being spent on developing carbon capture and sequestration is absurdly microscopic (nanoscopic). The desire to not believe that the climate crisis is real, is so strong that we are incapable of responding to this crisis as a species. The only ones talking about responding in the US are the Libruls and they are worse than useless, as usual.

Good morning magi. The Atlantic Conveyor breakdown was
predicted over a decade ago as I recall, even making it to the quasi-popular press. Chickens coming home to roost, as it were, not that those are chicken feathers on the first aid kit, which is fabulous this week.
Since there are multiple WEFs (Water Environment Federation) I thought I'd clarify that it appears you mean This organization (from its web page teaser): The World Economic Forum is the International Organization for Public-Private Cooperation. Da wiki tells it a bit more truthfully: The WEF's mission is stated as "committed to improving the state of the world by engaging business, political, academic, and other leaders of society to shape global, regional, and industry agendas".
Public-private generally means corporate welfare and similar corruption to enrich a select few from funds putatively aimed at benefitting the populace as a whole. The addition of all that other crap disclossed in the wiki quote, however, is the very definition of fascism. Perhaps on a smallish scale presently, but that is fascism pure and simple.

hi el
Crow feathers. But you knew that. I walk in the mornings at the break of day just before the sun comes up in Arana Gulch. The crows come out just before dawn and are cawing and circling and celebrating a new day ( I like to think ). So many of them, must be a least a thousand. In earlier times I hear that the sky was black with their numbers. The darkened sky with just a blush of the sunrise filled with cawing crows. These feathers I gathered here. They nest here in the spring.
Thanks for the WEF clarification. Yep, fascism. Take good care.

Thanks for the transcript. Could not watch it but it is possible for me to read parts of it. I am so angry at his instigating violence that it is difficult for me to sift through. Thanks for all your comments. Take good care.

Thank you for posting them.
It seems to me that humanity is caught in a century loop. Everything we need to know to unleash human potential was revealed to humanity by 1920. But it cannot be learned. Not in the Western world.
Hi Pluto
I feel like I want to type your name upside down.
We missed the boat with our independent thinking. No? (Like wearing a mask. It works. e.g. Taiwan, Viet Nam, New Zealand, China. Sigh.) It might be an Eastern vs a Western loop. We were extracting a great deal of Mother Earth's resources on this continent a century ago.
Take good care.
