subverting the election? They have fixed so many state elections that it has become routine.

EDIT: Why are they so all-fired hot for me to vote by mail instead of urging me to vote?
Because you have no assurance that your ballot will be delivered or thrown out or they already have one to put it it's place.
I have voted by mail, but only when not sure I could get to my polling place. They talk about disenfranchisement, but what is faking a mail-in ballot?

Marking a person as having voted when they dd not appear is an old Chicago trick. The absent voter votes straight (D), of course.

I've seen lots of changes. What doesn't change is people. Same old hairless apes.

@The Voice In the Wilderness The voter-ID laws, the "standing by" of the Proud Boys, the closing of polling places, the removal of ballot drop boxes, and the mishandling of the Covid-19 Trump Pandemic itself, yea, the Democrats are the whole problem.

Of course, this isn't Pelosi actually doing something beyond sending sternly worded letters. These are all wishful thinking by pundits. (I'm sure Jeremy Newberger means well, but can anyone imagine Pelosi actually doing something beyond wearing a Kente cloth? That would be like Obama standing up to Republicans instead of rolling over on cue.)

@SancheLlewellyn
All those things, except the (perhaps deliberately) clueless PMG are under the control of the Democratic party. Republicans didn't close polling places in the city of Chicago, the Cook County Board of Elections did that.
It's not just in red and purple states that Democrats are shrieking "Vote by Mail!". it's here in deep blue land. And I wonder what they fear of an honest vote.

EDIT: Changed and to are in the first sentence, grammar

Mnuchin not DeJoy USPS f*ckery.

I wholeheartedly agree with your original comment and the one I'm replying to. Just to add some info to the USPS issue, and voting by mail, here's a link to a really good podcast (with Congressional Hearing transcripts and source links), that breaks down the fuckery at the admin level in the USPS/US govt going back to 1971.

I learned that the Obama administration left a vacant USPS Board of Governors. Prez has to nominate, and they're appointed by congress, like SCOTUS justices except that they serve for 7 years. There are 4 bankers on the current board and 2 with logistics experience.

I also learned that DeJoy, despite the hypocritical fingers being pointed at him for previously owned Amazon stock & conflicts of interest because of it, and the fact that he gave a lot of money to Trump and other Republicans, the dude took his father's trucking company and turned it from 10 employees to 7,000 and has 30 years of job-related logistics experience. He was actually questioned about insisting on eliminating unnecessary repeated trips (more efficiency), and having USPS trucks run on time.

And something surprising I learned was that a postal carrier uses a donkey to deliver mail into the grand canyon.

After finishing the podcast, I see Mnuchin as the current problem, and the Obama administration as the reason for leaving the board empty to begin with. However, he might have nominated all bankers -- we'll never know.

Forward to 20 minutes past a lot of unnecessary podcast history/background, plugging, and apologies about birds heard in background -- recorded on a camping trip. Congressional Hearing Transcripts & links below podcast play buttons.

Edit: The Congressional Hearing Transcripts are listed/linked, not the podcast. Still recommend the podcast!

@Deja
Hire adequate staff so that overtime is not needed.
Replace the 30 year old trucks.

But there is no money for that until Congress removes the mandate to pre-fund retirement health care for employees that are not even born yet. Without that ridiculous mandate USPS would actually show a profit. The excess prefunding is a profit. More of pelosi's "pay-go"?

I had no idea they had to do the $10 million per year for a really long time in order to pay retirement/healthcare for future employees no one has even met yet. Might not even be born yet.

Of course, since Covid arrived congress has suffered from expensive vacations. Greedy, selfish bastards!

Assuming he doesn't go down from Covid-19 himself. He has Trump's high risk body type, after all. I don't know if she could un-nominate the Supreme Court justice, and besides, the Senate still marches in step to the Turtle.

What Nancy could do is have the executive branch start taking Covid-19 seriously, rather than farting around with snake oil cures (hydroxychloroquine) and snorting bleach.

Maybe someone with a moral compass, but not Pelosi. Rest assured she would find an excuse to not act.

On to Biden since 1973

This is just more fan fiction from the Dems. Nancy wouldn’t do shit even if she was in a position to and could get away with it.
