When you turn the country into a war zone you get a war

Here are 3 videos that I think should get some discussions on. I posted them in my fed up essay in comments, but I think they might get lost there.

Mimi posted it in Wendy's essay and Trevor absolutely nails it here. He starts out talking about how Amy Cooper knew damn well that she was weaponizing the black man's identity against him by saying she was going to call the cops on him and say that it was an African American man who was threatening violence against her.

This is just one of Jimmy's videos on the police violence, but he also addresses the way the media is forming the narrative.

Saagar too is more focused on the looting taking place then how dangerous it is for Trump to invoke the Insurrection Act that allows the military to police the country. Krystal points out that even though Trump says that he supports peaceful protests he had the cops assault the peaceful protesters just to move them for his photo op at the church. After listening to what she said Saagar again talks about the looting. He should listen to what Noah says about looting. If the people that are supposed to enforce the laws don't then why should people follow them?

And again about the media narrative this comment nails it:

Floyd didn't die after being pinned by his neck, as the article describes. He was handcuffed, restrained by three officers, then an officer put his full weight on his knee on Floyd's neck for nearly 9 minutes, The last 3 of those minutes Floyd was unresponsive and motionless. Despite stating multiple times "I can't breathe". Floyd didn't die, He was murdered by the one we trust and pay to protect us. All this for what? Allegedly passing on a counterfeit $20. Don't like the protest or the riots? You should have acted when it was just a knee. In fact, Trump had the power to prevent all of this when it was just a knee.

We are not alone.

It's not just about Floyd... it's about the corruption people are beginning to see and acknowledge.

Didn't Trump also turn his back on the pleas from governors begging for masks and other protective equipment? Telling them basically that they were on their own. So now that the governors are acting "on their own", we get this sht.

Well done is better than well said-Ben Franklin

https://wallstreetonparade.com/2020/06/trumps-message-of-unity-vicious-d...

Yesterday, President Trump held a phone conference with state Governors around the U.S. He said this at one point: “You have to dominate. If you don’t dominate, you’re wasting your time. They’re going to run all over you, you’ll look like a bunch of jerks. You have to dominate, and you have to arrest people, and you have to try people and they have to go to jail for long periods of time.”

During the call with Governors, Trump put the Secretary of the Department of Defense, Mark Esper, on the phone. Esper’s message to the Governors was this: “We need to dominate the battle space.” To have a battle waged by the Department of Defense you need an enemy. If the “battle space” is American cities and the people on the other side of the military are American citizens, then it seems reasonable to say that the President and the Pentagon are preparing to go to war against Americans.

On the call with Governors, Trump invoked the Occupy Wall Street movement. The President said this:

“It’s like a movement, and it’s a movement that if you don’t put it down, it’ll get worse and worse, this is like Occupy Wall Street. It was a disaster until one day, somebody said, that’s enough and they just went in and wiped them out and that’s the last time we ever heard the name Occupy Wall Street, until today when I heard about it, I heard Occupy Wall Street. I haven’t heard about it, I heard about it today for the first time in a long time. They were there forever it seemed on Wall Street. They closed up Wall Street, the financial district of the world, total domination, they were ordering pizzas, nobody did anything.

This is the mind of the President of the free world. Protesters attempting to realign their corrupted democracy while braving snow and ice living in tents on the sidewalks of lower Manhattan (following the greatest bank looting in U.S. history by Wall Street executives) have committed the ultimate crime of getting free pizza delivery.

@ggersh or are the worst ones always fat white Cops? Probably inappropriate for me to even say and I've not watched all the violence by the cops admittedly, but fat white Cops seem to be doing most of it from what little I've seen. Inherent massive inferiority complex? Roid rage? A toxic combination of the two? And they wonder why people call them pigs. Of course, that's an insult to pigs...

Only a fool lets someone else tell him who his enemy is. Assata Shakur

Y'know, I like Saagar. Sometimes I even agree with him. But if there was ever any doubt that the guy is a Republican, watch that clip. It seemed to wizz right over his head, but Krystal basically told him this is the revolution you've been claiming to support happening here and now that it's happening, you are advocating military crackdowns. It was really disappointing to hear him keep returning to "but the looting" when Krystal was trying to point out the many, many documented incidents of police invoking violence against peaceful protest. Saagar almost had me convinced that Republican populist wasn't an oxymoron, but I guess I should have known better.

Idolizing a politician is like believing the stripper really likes you.

@Dr. John Carpenter

Even after Krystal said that to him he turned around and doubled down on the same talking points.

BTW where are all those anti government folks that collected their guns to fight against the government take over after they have been stripped of their rights?

Which AIPAC/MIC/pharma/bank bought politician are you going to vote for? Don’t be surprised when nothing changes.
