Video Chat As Community

Okay gang, Sunday May 10th, will be my first go at hosting a caucus99percent video chat. An invitation and a link and a password have all been sent to those who showed interest.
This won't be a time to plan or organize anything. Just a relaxed time to get to know each other a bit .... that's it; that's all.
If everyone shows up, there will be 17 of us. You can still be included. Let me know if you want in.

but I have one of those clip on cameras that I used on an earlier computer and I can hopefully figure out how to have it working on this one. It would be interesting to actually see the people behind the names.

This is the message that came up when I tried out the link you sent earlier. I am having problems with my main computer and despite attempts of help from brother in law and a phone trouble shooter, we are no closer to solving any issues.
The iPad I am using at present is sending me this message and it seems I am hellbent on destroying my means of communication with the outside world but will keep trying because I also think it would be fun to visit with people here and put a face to the names of some of you that have been so supportive in the past and others I have enjoyed reading your diaries and would love to meet if only virtually.

Okay. I am not an IT professional. But let me try to help. My laptop runs Windows 10. And I browse with Chrome most of the time. Try to download ... and install the Jitsi Meet app to your machine. That is what I did. https://meet.jit.si/ Once there, follow the "start a new meeting" link Or you could go to https://jitsi.org/ where there is a pulldown window "See it in action. Start a meeting."

Oh my, what to do, what to do?
The gardener has cut my hair (bangs) (hair dresser shops had closed down) and it is way too short, I look like a neglected five year old, whose mom had given out a sissor so the older kid to cut hair of the little one. No can do.
I wouldn't want anybody to see me, but I guess I can see you all in the video zoom chat, or how does it work? If 16 people sign up, do we have 4 by 4 little windows cells with each participants in each on our laptop on one screen? A little excel table with a nice C99p-er image of 16 people all together?
Sigh, I really need to know, who is the fairest of you all ...
