I almost didn't think to post it here, since I think everybody here is watching his stuff. But it occurred to me that this is life and death information, well worth repeating even at risk of being boring.

be careful to stay within recommended dosages of Tylenol, if you do take it. Sweating it out (literally) is best, but if a person has to take something, Tylenol is better than any of the other over the counter febrifuges.

a week or so ago. Yes, Dr. Campbell is a treasure -- honest, careful, clear. It's good to hear what's happening and what approaches are working, in simple terms. I've emailed his YT site to several friends.

Of acetaminophen is safe. Taking a little bit extra can be life threatening, can cause permanent liver damage or even death occasionally. It has been advertised as the safest pain medicine, but it is not. It is hard on the liver and I think that has been common knowledge for decades. I learned the bit about taking a little extra being dangerous for some people several years ago, cannot quote source. I apologize for that.
so people don't go whole hog into acetaminophen because the other medications are so dangerous.

than about 3250 mg/day.
It is what is used in commonly prescribed painkillers such as hydrocodone (Norco) where in one tab the proportion is about 1/10th that at 325/5 mg.

Now in ICU Middle-aged man, no known underlying health conditions.
6 Mar fever; 7-8 Mar in bed; 8 Mar Urgent Care visit.
doctors diagnosed him with the flu and prescribed him Tamiflu, the steroid prednisone and codeine cough syrup.
...
Heaven Frilot said her husband immediately started taking the medications, but he got worse. When his nightly fevers wouldn’t break, though he was alternating Tylenol and Advil, he called the doctor back. [emp added]
His Urgent Care flu test came back negative - unclear if a quick test was done while the patient was there (it too would have been negative, but false negatives are high for the quick test.) Unstated if he had been taking Advil before his Urgent Care visit (my guess is yes.)
I guess the likeliest thing is that he had COVID-19, probably would have fought it off, but gave the disease the so-called "golden road" into his body by taking Advil.
EDIT: oh, double shit. I missed, on first read, the fact that they gave him steroids. Which is as bad as taking Advil. Now multiply my screaming rant below X2, because it means doctors here don't know it. FFS!!!

COVID-19 interaction? Dr. Campbell -- who you're citing here -- specifically said that he thought they were okay. He was fingering anti-imflammatories like NSAIDs.
Perhaps steroids aren't okay. Codeine? Are they any highly skilled clinical pharmacists are any of the task forces studying the clinical data on COVID-19 patients?
What meds do children not take? Is "baby aspirin" now only used by adults as a prophylactic blood thinner?
For me, Tylenol is worse than nothing, and therefore, I've paid particular attention to a possible association between COVID-19 and NSAIDs.

steroids over the counter anyway, so everybody should talk to their doctors about whether to keep taking them.
