Primary Election shenanigans are expected in California. This morning the Bernie Campaign sent the following email to California Bernie supporters:

Subject: Can you make a plan to vote early for Bernie? We’re giving him a list very soon. Make sure your name is on it.

I am writing to ask if you will make a plan to vote early for Bernie in the California primary. In-person early voting starts on Saturday, February 22.

Together we are building a movement that can not just win this election, but transform our country. We can pass Medicare for All and make health care a human right. We can pass a Green New Deal and save our planet. We can transform our country.

It all starts with winning the primary here in California. That is why we are asking you today if you can make a plan to vote early for Bernie.

We’re going to send Bernie a list of everyone in California who has made a plan to vote early for our campaign. Make sure your name is on that list.

Please make a plan to vote early for Bernie in California so you're ready to go once in-person early voting begins on February 22. We’ll make sure your name is on the list we send to Bernie.

It’s all coming down to this. We have a chance to make history and elect Bernie Sanders our next president. Thank you for being a part of what we’re building together.

@Funkygal A Democratic Crossover ballot.

If you are NPP and don't vote on a crossover ballot it won't count.

@boriscleto I've had zero problems here in S.F. getting a Dem crossover ballot when I go to the polls on election day. YMMV (your mileage may vary) depending on where you live, but there's never been a hint of anything untoward in the past that I've seen. This is not to say that S.F. has not had "whoops, how did those boxes of ballots end up in the Bay?" issues before, but I've not had a problem at the polls where the volunteers have all seemed to be civic-minded people stepping up to help out.

I think the problem may be that there are probably still people registered under the American Independent Party, thinking it is NPP (aka independent).
