Oh please...not everyone that uses NPC, Troll, and Pepe is a "right winger." Most of the time they're used because it so easily triggers a huge swath of doilies, thus providing immense entertainment from the shrieks of outrage and hand-wringing.
I've surmised that the NPC works so well because the confirming outrage proved its accuracy; I've not really figured out why Troll and Pepe trigger, but then again, there is no rational figuring for the arbitrary outrage triggers these days...
