Epstein judge released some sealed information

Huge cache of records details how Jeffrey Epstein and madam lured girls into depraved world

A chilling picture of how hundreds of girls and young women from around the world were trafficked for sex by Jeffrey Epstein, his madam, Ghislaine Maxwell, and — allegedly — a number of powerful business and world leaders emerged Friday in court documents unsealed in New York.

The documents, the largest cache to be released in the 13 years since Epstein’s case began, offer brutal details about Epstein’s trafficking of teenage girls in Palm Beach, New York and overseas — as well as Maxwell’s obsessive and often abusive quest to provide him with new girls over a span of years in the early to mid 2000s.

Virginia Roberts Giuffre, whose 2015 federal defamation suit against Maxwell was the source of the documents, provided testimony and evidence to substantiate her claims of exploitation at the hands of Epstein and Maxwell through photographs, plane logs and even a medical record from Presbyterian Hospital in New York where Giuffre was taken by Epstein after a particularly abusive sex episode.

Her story was also corroborated by an ex-boyfriend, whom she told about the abuse at the time, and another woman who worked as an assistant for Maxwell and Epstein named Johanna Sjoberg. Sjoberg, who was a college student at Palm Beach Atlantic University when she was recruited by Maxwell, said that Maxwell’s primary role in Epstein’s life was to provide him with young girls at least three times a day.

“He explained to me that, in his opinion, he needed to have three orgasms a day. It was biological, like eating,’’ Sjoberg said in a sworn deposition in 2015.

The names of some prominent, wealthy men Giuffre says she was directed to have sex with are spattered throughout the approximately 2,000 pages released Friday.

They include: the late scientist Marvin Minsky, modeling scout Jean-Luc Brunel, former New Mexico Gov. Bill Richardson, 71, former Sen. George Mitchell, 85, Hyatt hotels magnate Tom Pritzker, 69, and prominent hedge fund manager Glenn Dubin, 62. Giuffre has previously identified Epstein’s lawyer, Alan Dershowitz, 80, and Prince Andrew, 59, as two of the people with whom she had sex.

All the men have issued denials, with some of them, including Dershowitz, insisting that they never met Giuffre. No charges have been filed against anyone other than Epstein, who was indicted last month in New York on two counts of sex trafficking.

Some of the testimony released Friday is difficult to read, as when one 15-year-old Swedish girl, shaking and crying in fear, told a butler who worked for two of Epstein’s closest friends that she had been taken to Epstein’s island in the Caribbean and ordered to have sex with him and others. The butler, in a sworn statement, said the girl, visibly traumatized, told him that Epstein and Maxwell had physically threatened to harm her and seized her passport to keep her on the island, according to the butler’s statement.
....
Giuffre, as part of her sworn testimony, also states that she met former President Bill Clinton, former Vice President Al Gore and future President Donald Trump, and that Epstein once held a dinner for Clinton on his island, Little St. James, off the coast of St. Thomas.

She said in a 2016 deposition she met Trump through her father, Sky, who worked as a maintenance man at Trump’s Palm Beach home, Mar-a-Lago, and that to her knowledge, neither Trump nor Clinton had any intimate contact with “us’’ — referring to a group of girls Epstein kept at his beck and call for sex.

Giuffre’s lawyer, David Boies, said there is nothing in the Maxwell case that showed any wrongdoing by Clinton, Gore or Trump.

“We know both Trump and Clinton were associated with Epstein at various times in various ways, but in terms of what we have, there’s no indication that any of the three of them did anything improper.’’

The lawsuit was settled in 2017 in Giuffre’s favor, Boies said. But besides the monetary settlement, Boies said Giuffre’s other goal was to chronicle, in testimony and evidence, the scope of Epstein and Maxwell’s sex trafficking operation.

“What the lawsuit was about is this massive sex trafficking operation which went on for years, right in front of everybody —and the way in which every institution in our society failed these girls. The courts failed them, the prosecutors failed them, the lawyers failed them, the media failed them — everyone in our system failed them,’’ he said.

He added that even after Epstein pleaded guilty in 2008 as part of a plea deal that amounted to minor prostitution charges, Epstein served a cushy jail term and went back to his jet-setting social life. At the same time, Giuffre and Epstein’s other victims continued to suffer trauma as details of his crimes spilled out over the years — and the criminal justice system continued to ignore the case.

Boies, whose firm is now engaged in a similar defamation lawsuit brought by Giuffre against Dershowitz, said that there were a lot of people who, if they weren’t involved knew what Epstein and Maxwell were doing.

“I think one of the general points worth making is how many people knew about this and did nothing, and how long it went on right in plain sight, hiding in plain sight,’’ Boies said.

....
Clinton has admitted that he made four plane trips with Epstein as part of the charitable work of the Clinton Foundation.

“President Clinton knows nothing about the terrible crimes Jeffrey Epstein pleaded guilty to in Florida some years ago, or those with which he has been recently charged in New York,’’ a statement from his spokesman, released last month, said.

President Trump has recently claimed that he was not really close with Epstein and had not spoken to him in years. Giuffre, however, said in a deposition released Friday that Trump and Epstein were good friends. She admitted that Epstein was the one who characterized his friendship with Trump and that she herself had never seen the two of them together.

A spokesman for Richardson issued a statement saying that he has never met Giuffre.

“These allegations and inferences are completely false. ....To be clear, in Governor Richardson’s limited interactions with Mr. Epstein, he never saw him in the presence of young or underage girls.”

“I have never met, spoken with or had any contact with Ms. Giuffre,” Mitchell told the Portland Press Herald. “In my contacts with Mr. Epstein I never observed or suspected any inappropriate conduct with underage girls. I only learned of his actions when they were reported in the media related to his prosecution in Florida. We have had no further contact.”

That the prosecution knew everything disclosed today and even more and yet gave Epstein a sentence of only 18 months for prostitution has to be the biggest miscarriage of justice I've heard of. 18 months, served 13 and was allowed to go to work for 12 hours 6 days a week!

Deja posted this article in my Webb essay that I think has some great information about Epstein's New Mexico ranch. It is really too long and detailed to do it justice by excerpting it. Lots of connections to Clinton. Richardson and other people who were in the Clinton administration and other groups.

This Twitter thread has some of the court documents in it.

Let's see how many highly successful people will be caught up in this horrendous scandal which will rely on Epstein staying alive long enough to make it to trial. His lawyers have said that they need a year to go through the court documents that they had before the new ones were released. That Epstein wasn't in protective custody before he was assaulted or tried to commit suicide doesn't give me much hope that he will.

Here Virginia Giuffre definitely names names...

Jeffrey Epstein Accuser Names Powerful Men in Alleged Sex Ring

A young woman who says financier Jeffrey Epstein and socialite Ghislaine Maxwell kept her as a sex slave also accused a host of high-powered men of being involved in Epstein’s alleged sex-trafficking ring, according to court records unsealed Friday.

Virginia Giuffre, who says that Epstein and Maxwell trafficked her to powerful people for erotic massages and sex, claimed in depositions in 2016 that Maxwell directed her to have sex with former New Mexico Gov. Bill Richardson, Britain’s Prince Andrew (whom she has accused before), wealthy financier Glenn Dubin, former senator George Mitchell, now-deceased MIT scientist Marvin Minsky, and modeling agent Jean-Luc Brunel, as well as “another prince,” a "foreign president," a well-known prime minsiter" and the owner of a “large hotel chain” in France.

None of the men named in the deposition have been charged with a crime or even sued in civil court in connection with the Epstein case. The deposition represents accuser Giuffre’s allegations, and the court documents unsealed on Friday did not contain any corroboration or further details, though many documents remain sealed.

Later, Menninger asks, “Other than Glenn Dubin…Prince Andrew, Jean-Luc Brunel, Bill Richardson, another prince, the large hotel chain owner, and Marvin Minsky, is there anyone else that Ghislaine Maxwell directed you to go have sex with?”

“I am definitely sure there is,” Giuffre replies. “But can I remember everybody’s name? No…look I’ve given you what I know right now. I’m sorry. This is very hard for me and very frustrating to have to go over this. I don’t—I don’t recall all of the people. There was a large amount of people that I was sent to.”

In a separate exchange, Giuffre testifies, “"They instructed me to go to George Mitchell, Jean Luc Brunel, Bill Richardson, another prince that I don't know his name. A guy that owns a hotel, a really large hotel chain, I can't remember which hotel it was. Marvin Minksy."

“There was, you know, another foreign president, I can’t remember his name. He was Spanish. There's a whole bunch of them that I just—it’s hard for me to remember all of them. you know, I was told to do something by these people constantly, told to—my whole life revolved around just pleasing these men and keeping Ghislaine and Jeffrey happy. Their whole entire lives revolved around sex.”

And in a deposition of Giuffre from 2016—in a case brought by Brad Edwards and Paul Cassell, lawyers for Epstien's alleged victims, against Alan Dershowitz—Giuffre says she was sexually trafficked to a well-known prime minister, to Prince Andrew, to George Mitchell, and to a man who was introduced as a foreign "prince" on a visit to the south of France.

The men named by Virginia Giuffre are all friends or acquaintances of Epstein who moved within his world of power and influence.

Dubin and Andersson-Dubin were two of Epstein’s closest friends. Eva, a former Miss Sweden who married Glenn in 1994, was a critical factor in Epstein’s reintroduction to New York high society after the financier’s Florida conviction. The Dubins are fantastically wealthy—Forbes puts their fortune around $2 billion—and Glenn Dubin is a founder of Highbridge Capital, as well as the charitable Robin Hood Foundation (JFK Jr. had a seat on its board). They live in a Fifth Avenue apartment once owned by Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis and are regulars on the Palm Beach circuit that Epstein once dominated.

The accusation against Glenn Dubin is even more disturbing considering that Eva vowed to a probation officer that she was “100% comfortable” with Epstein around her own children, while noting she was aware of his conviction of sex with a minor. Epstein gave money to Eva’s breast cancer charity, and to two organizations linked to one of the Dubin daughters—Harvard’s Hasty Pudding Club (the Dubins are also donors) and the Icahn School of Medicine at Mt. Sinai. Epstein was also an investor in Highbridge in 1998, according to New York Magazine.

Epstein also had longstanding ties with Richardson. The former governor, DNC chairman, and presidential candidate—who also served as President Clinton’s Energy Secretary and UN Ambassador in the late ’90s—was reportedly a guest of honor at Jeffrey Epstein’s secluded Zorro Ranch outside of Stanley, New Mexico, and appears in Epstein’s “little black book” of contacts. Giuffre has previously claimed that Epstein transported her to New Mexico as his underage “sex slave.”

Richardson returned $50,000 in campaign donations from Epstein after the financier’s 2007 plea deal in Florida.

Someone needs to find out and tell the public who it was exactly who told Alex Acosta that Epstein “belonged to intelligence, leave it alone.”

Jeffrey Epstein dies by suicide.

The timing and circumstances are "not immediately clear."

In other words, two bullet holes to the back of the head, I'm sure. That kind of suicide.

@Azazello Been on it. They take your shoelaces. That is assuming they don't want you dead. A guard checks you every five minutes. Less if you're showing signs of agitation...

Suicide watch, with lots of nice cords and sheets and a guard that apparently was completely blameless because the paperwork shows everything was done correctly and properly...

Right as names start dropping.

Suuuuure.

Offer immunity, but once she spills the beans, do what is done to petty criminals all the time -- renege and put her in prison where she belongs. She repulses me more than Epstein does, and especially if she was sexually abused in the past.

I'd venture to bet that the vast majority of criminals had something happen to them as kids, but they are not usually allowed to skate on decades of crimes as adults because of it. How many priests and Boy Scout leaders were not only abusers, but also abused? Do we excuse them?

who was facing a murder charge was found dead in his cell. He was on suicide watch. He hung himself with a bed sheet. I always attributed that little lapse in security to the fact the murder victim was related to someone on the police force.
That was way before the jail had the security camera system it now has in place.

have you read the essays here on Whitney Webb's work that has tied this sordid affair back to players in Mossad and other intelligence agencies? She has done some great work on this and her next one will include the ties to the Clintons.

Maxwell is neck deep in this and that she skated back in 2006 with so many others tells me that she is protected.
