Rachel Has a Sad about Mueller Gate
After two long years of breathlessly reporting on every minute detail of Russia Gate, Rachel who was fishing in Tennessee had to leave the fishy alone and come back to talk talk talk talk talk as usual about Mueller sending in his report.
Crying for indictments? Maddow ‘holds backs tears’ as she discusses end of Mueller probe
The unremarkable conclusion of the Mueller probe has been a heavy blow for MSNBC host Rachel Maddow, who by some accounts shed tears live on television as she came to terms with her indictment-deficient reality.
The MSNBC host, who has devoted countless hours of airtime to gossiping about the alleged ties between President Donald Trump and the Kremlin, struggled to keep her composure while discussing the end of Special Counsel Robert Mueller’s investigation, which wrapped up on Friday without issuing any further indictments.
According to the Daily Caller, Maddow came close to crying as she commented on the Russiagate-deflating development. Many on Twitter insisted that she actually shed tears. A clip of the broadcast shows a watery-eyed Maddow seemingly grappling with the reality that Donald Trump and his family will not be frog-marched out of the White House.
Maddow didn’t succumb to this unexpected and shocking injustice, however, and reassured her viewers that Mueller’s decision not to issue a single collusion-related indictment is the “start of something apparently, not the end of something.”

This is what it looks like when you've deliberately misled your audience for two years, and then the music stops, and the bill comes due. @maddow https://t.co/4bkBUEwx8y

So can those of us on the left criticize Trump on the actual issues now, and FINALLY give up on #Russiagate?
For 2 years, @maddow has lead @MSNBC in selling us the narrative that Trump colluded w/ Russia
What will @maddow do now? Double down or actually do journalism?— Dennis Trainor Jr (@dennistrainorjr) March 23, 2019
It took Rachel close to 2 1/2 minutes to get to teh point. I just might have to watch her show Monday after she takes the weekend to get her thoughts straight on this epic failure.

Comments
She won’t get her thoughts straight
Her writers will come up with “thoughts “ on the way forward for her to save face. My opinion, anyhoo!

so, too, will be whatever the Russia-gaters come up with now. Who will they blame? Somebody other than themselves, for sure!
Be still my beating heart.
I await with bated breath.

Maddow will be fine
It will be dismissed as whitewash
"Mueller is a Republican and Trump got to him"
I would LOVE for Mueller to hold a press conference and say "we found no evidence of collusion between the Russian government and the Trump campaign, but we did find evidence of collusion between the Ukrainian government and the Clinton campaign" and have Rosenstein issue a warrant for her arrest.
I've seen lots of changes. What doesn't change is people. Same old hairless apes.
Maddow isn't "elite"
Maddow is not a member of the elite. She, like the vast majority of the MSM (aside from ones like Vanderbilt heir Anderson Cooper), just work for the elite. They derive their station in life and their cushy lifestyle from enabling the elite. They get to rub elbows with the elite, attend ten-course dinners with the elite, and pretend that they are part of the elite. But in reality, they're not.
If and when they lose their usefulness to the elite, they'll be thrown under the bus in a Manhattan minute.

Rachel has made a highly profitable career
of being wrong exactly in the ways her overlords require.
She's paid to distract and deceive. And that she's done.
It's anybody who wastes their times watching her who should be crying. Rachel will go on. Endlessly spinning spinning and spinning.

Bingo
This is exactly what she has knowingly done. Or should it be deliberately done? But yeah if she went off air tomorrow she would be just fine. Boy how far she has fallen from her Air America days. I especially liked her life during war time.

I recently read Maddow's 2012 book
It was called "Drift: The Unmooring of American Military Power." It was actually quite good, but what I wanted to mention here is that it contained an entire chapter about the Bush/Ford 'Team B' report in the 1970s, in which an independent commission staffed with neocon hardliners was tasked with assessing Russian military strength. Not surprisingly, they drastically and systematically overstated Russian military capability, and did so with the clear purpose of increasing military and intelligence spending at home--in other words, more money and power for them. So not only have we seen all this before, but Maddow has written very critically about it, with the likewise clear purpose of warning us not to let it happen again.
Just in case anyone needed an extra dose of cynicism when reflecting upon how Rachel Maddow has spent the last three years.
"The smart way to keep people passive and obedient is to strictly limit the spectrum of acceptable opinion, but allow very lively debate within that spectrum." --Noam Chomsky
Can one have too much cynicism anymore?
This is such a good point. Thanks for making it.
When Rachel first arrived on Keith's show during the Bush years she was very critical of our wars and many of the other things Bush and Cheney's cabal was doing. This is why it's sad to see that she has sold out her integrity (in my opinion) to push this massive psychological psyops on us. Redundant I know...
She had a lot to say about Trump meeting with Kim about North Korea. I don't know if she said anything when Trump said he was pulling the troops out of Syria or her response when he did mini shock and awe on Syria after the false flag chemical poisoning.
Lots of media folks are in the council on foreign relations and other think tank type organizations. Were they threatened that if they didn't go along then their pooties go fishing with the fishes or something more sinister? Who knows? But then there's also the lure of big money. Who knows what I'd really do if offered the chance to not be poor anymore? My mind made lots of plans that my bank account can't deliver.
Here in the USA arming and funding Israeli genocide and mass murder is perfectly OK, but objecting to it will get you expelled, arrested or deported.
Speaking of Keith
Visited KO's twitter feed -- 200 most recent posts about dogs about to be put down, a dozen posts about sports, nothing in the past 5 days about the Mueller report release. Nada, zero.
As for liberal sellouts in the MSM, particularly at MSMIC, Jimmy Dore has ranted hilariously about this, and offered that he too would be willing to sell out his principles for $30k/day, the estimated per diem for Mad Dog Maddow and maybe Chris "I Used to Get Paid Peanuts As A Progressive at The Nation" Hayes.
logically Rachel and Keith were always shills
for the Dem Centrists. So of course they told the truth about Bush because that helped the Dems. They always worked for the Dems. Thus Rachel would excuse Obama's sins by saying "but that's not good enough for the Republicans!"
They've got a job and it isn't to fight for the truth.
Did you say Keith ?
Dore was playing this over and over today.

I hadn't seen this piece in its entirety. Keith Olbermann has a full fledged case of Trump Derangement Syndrome before Trump has even been inaugurated. Thank you for posting it. It's all there. If anyone ever doubts how bonkers this is, it can be shown here explicitly.
And yet Nancy sees no reason to remove the Donald
OMG, Keith. I remember when he was one of the most sane people on the TV.
"We distrust the intelligence agencies" and yet here he is believing them. I think if the proof was high enough that Obama's suit would have stood up to McConnell and told the nation that Russia elected Trump and the election is null and void.
Boy I'd sure love to speak with him now. But alas, he still probably believes it happened and that Vlad has something to hold over Mueller.
Yup. Get ready for Russia Gate 2.0
Thanks very much for posting this. I'm not sure whether to laugh or cry. Okay, kidding. LMAO!

I feel and fear for Keith Olberman's peace of mind. That was awful to watch.
When I tried to find the video from Keith on GQ on a Jimmy Dore clip, I just found this. He says a couple of things at the end which hit the nail.

Dore does a live show on YouTube every Saturday,
2 p.m. California time. Yesterday he had Aaron Maté on and that's when he was playing the Olbermann clip. He snips out segments from the live show and releases them later in the week so you'll see it sooner or later. See my comment in The Weekly Watch for more on Russiagate.

I already struggle through late night reading during the week on the EB. Have to admit that i am not set up and organized to follow those many site's shows in an organized fashion. I always admire and wonder how you all do. So, I trust Joe's and lookout's selection and always find your additional links of much value.. Thank God you all do such a good job. One day I will organize myself, God willing...
Thanks.

He doesn't talk
Clearly, some of our elite institutions of higher learning have not been teaching independent critical thinking skills. Keith and Bill Mar from Cornell, as I recall. Rachel from Stanford. All Russiagaters from beginning to end.
Though I still think selling out for the big corp media bux is the best explanation.

Putin has a pee tape on Mueller
This is why he didn't find anything on Trump and company. Oh I wish I was kidding, but I have seen people saying things like that.
Why would someone like Trump care if Vlad had a tape showing that Trump hired women to pee on the bed that the Obama's slept on? Or why would Trump actually stoop to that level? Seriously people believe that? No wonder Russia Gate hasn't been laughed out of the country.

More good grief
Mueller's indictment of the various Russians is why people think that they interfered, but he never showed how the ads actually changed people's minds or votes. But apparently that isn't important to people's already made up minds. Some are still saying that all 17 intelligence agencies agree.... when it was only 3 people and they only said that they think or believe that they did.

Oh the Maddow and others will re-group for a few months
Already started the back pedaling and new and bizarre reasons Mueller would not indict Trump. It will last until the summer. That is when Trump's win about the conspiracy theories will begin to show up in poll numbers among gopers and his supporters. Maddow ratings will start a slow slide down.
What I fear now is a false flag operation to restart all of this bullshit.
