Boise Berns
I was a very long time lurker at the big orange until the latest HRC mess, and was very happy to see caucus99percent start up. As I've also been on a long recovery from an illness that damaged the way my vision processes text, I don't post much since by the time I can interpret posts, the replies from others usually have covered anything I want to say, but I'm a very enthusiastic supporter of the open dialog that's happening here...and yes, especially the pro-Bernie/antiHRC stuff.
Anyway, as an ex-hippie, extremely Progressive-minded 64 year old who's been living in a deeply red state for many years (it's affordable!), it's quite thrilling to see so much openly enthusiastic support for Bernie Sanders in Idaho that includes signs and bumperstickers around town. During both Obama campaigns I saw few of these for him because this is hardcore Mitt country, and the local corporate, conservative news media refused to report on much other than Mittens.
The dominant network here is NBC and amongst the lead stories tonight was a great segment on this morning's Bernie's rally at BSU. Am hearing plenty of positive buzz around the neighborhood as well, something I never expected. The 5:00o'clock news report had some great interviews too - am still in shock that they're allowing Bernie supporters to speak on camera, without dismissing the issues or people's enthusiasm - unprecedented here.
Thanks so much for this forum and hello to all of you fine caucus99percent folk!

Welcome!
Glad to see you here and glad to hear Idaho is Bernin'!
I've also noticed this tendency of long time lurkers actually writing here for the first time and saying hi (hi lurkers!)... a big compliment to the site's openness imho.
Progressive to the bone.
Lurkers welcome!
Heck, if you just want to read, you're just as welcome as a contributor.
Glad to hear your good news, and hope you have more to share with us as time goes on.![Smile](https://caucus99percent.com/sites/all/modules/smiley/packs/kolobok/smile.gif)
If not, I hope we have good words that make your day better.
I do not pretend I know what I do not know.

That's great!
I think the west is Bernies turf. We seem to be a place where people who lean democratic have a strong independent streak. This fits with Bernies philosophy of governing. I have a friend who moved to Idaho surprisingly he is all in for Bernie. Given he has been something akin to a ditto head for awhile now this is a major change.
Hubby and I went up to Lava
Hubby and I went up to Lava Hot Springs last fall in November; had a couple people comment on and were happy to see the Bernie shirt I was wearing. It does my cold black heart good to hear he's getting such great receptions in even the reddest states. Can't wait for tomorrow's caucus!
This shit is bananas.
Thanks. And yes, it's nice here.

Thanks all!
It's great to be here and to get to enjoy some solid reasoned discourse along with so much fine wit. Am looking forward to participating as much as I can - and will try and share what happens at our caucus tomorrow. Hoping for a three alarm Bern-fire!

Hi Sedna,
I think we might be kindred spirits! I am near your age, had to retire a bit early due to disability and am Feeling the Bern in Meridian.
I couldn't get to the rally this morning but watched it live online and can't go caucus but am sending a couple of others who wouldn't have gone without my begging them to go in my place. I just heard they had to split the Ada County caucus into 2 sites because it is expected to be the biggest caucus in the country.
I expect them to be super organized since one of my mom's friends is on the committee.![Wink](https://caucus99percent.com/sites/all/modules/smiley/packs/kolobok/wink.gif)
If you are going please share details.
glad to have ya!

So long, and thanks for all the fish
