US intelligence reports: Russia's new hypersonic weapon will likely be ready for war by 2020
I keep saying that threatening RUSSIA! is an incredibly stupid thing to do. (And I’m not the only one here that has said it.) They’re NOT the usual third world country that’s been kicking our ass all over the Middle East. They are a nuclear powerhouse that could, and would, clean our collective clock if ‘push’ ever really came to ‘shove’.
US intelligence reports: Russia's new hypersonic weapon will likely be ready for war by 2020
A Russian weapon the U.S. is currently unable to defend against will be ready for war by 2020, according to sources with direct knowledge of American intelligence reports.
The sources, who spoke to CNBC on the condition of anonymity, said Russia successfully tested the weapon, which could carry a nuclear warhead, twice in 2016. The third known test of the device, called a hypersonic glide vehicle, was carried out in October 2017 and resulted in a failure when the platform crashed seconds before striking its target.
The latest revelations come more than two months after Russian President Vladimir Putin touted his nation's growing hypersonic arsenal as "invincible."
The hypersonic glide vehicle, dubbed Avangard, is designed to sit atop an intercontinental ballistic missile. Once launched, it uses aerodynamic forces to sail on top of the atmosphere.
One U.S. intelligence report, according to a source, noted that the hypersonic glide vehicles were mounted to Russian-made SS-19 intercontinental ballistic missiles — and one test featured a mock warhead.

Think about that. Our government KNOWS that the country that we have surrounded and have been threatening could wipe us out and we are defenseless to do anything about it. It’s not like we shouldn’t have seen this coming. And of course this means that instead of feeding hungry kids we are undoubtedly funding research to develop an even more deadly weapon in the hopes that it will maintain our ability to be the world’s boss and bully.
And it’s all to protect the bank balance of a very few ‘special’ people on our side of the planet. This undoubtably sounds horrible but IMO, the best thing that could happen to us is if the next Bilderberg Group conclave were the victims of a terrorist attack instead of the usual (and pointless) victims, unsuspecting plebs at work or in a nightclub. The idiots keep blowing up the wrong people. It’s just so inefficient and self-defeating.
The Bilderberg Group, Bilderberg conference, Bilderberg meetings or Bilderberg Club is an annual private conference of 120 to 150 people of the European and North American political elite, experts from industry, finance, academia and the media, established in 1954 by Prince Bernhard of the Netherlands.[1]

About two thirds of the participants come from Europe and the rest from North America; one third from politics and government and the rest from other fields.[2][27] Historically, attendee lists have been weighted toward bankers, politicians, directors of large businesses[28] and board members from large publicly traded corporations, including IBM, Xerox, Royal Dutch Shell, Nokia and Daimler.[12] Heads of state, including former King Juan Carlos I of Spain and former Queen Beatrix of the Netherlands, have attended meetings.[12][29] A source connected to the group told The Daily Telegraph in 2013 that other individuals, whose names are not publicly issued, sometimes turn up "just for the day" at the group's meetings.[30]

There was very little enthusiasm for the idea. I think they felt that they had a very congenial group, and they didn't want to have it interfered with by another element that would—I don't know what they thought, but in any case, they were not in favor.

There is no representation for the plebs in this little band of influencers and beneficiaries of western political policies. We just pay, fight, and die to keep those people in mansions and Lambos.

Putin doubles down -
on programs of social uplift - contrary to the direction the US is moving.
Putin gets 10 times the "bang for the buck" compared to the US. Probably 30% of US
defenseoffense spending goes for pork; another 30% for extremely expensive "special projects" such asaircraft carriersholes in the water waiting to be filled and the F-35 Boondoggle; 30% for 1,000 military bases in every nook and cranny in the world forforce projectionopening McDonald's and Burger King fat food outlets; leaving about 10% for development and expenses for what the US truly requires for defense. You don't announce a weapon that isn't ready.
Memo to anyone who's watched Dr Who: (the Tom Baker years) In a Mexican standoff, the first one to shoot wins (provided that he hits his target) And with nuclear weapons hitting the target is not that hard. In other words, using a nuclear Mexican standoff to con people into giving you trillions of dollars under the assumption that Russia won't shoot first is incredably stupid - some day they'll get tired of your threats.
On to Biden since 1973
The US and the USSR (npw Russia)
have had Mutual Assured Destruction capabilities since the mid-sixties. Nobody is going to clean anybody's clock. The new Russian weapon gives them an improved capability to get through to US targets with a small number of launches. The small US missile defense system, which generally succeeds intercepting its target when the target is blown up by a radio signal rather than the interceptor, might have an impact if the Russians made a number of launches comparable to the number of US launches.
Make no mistake, the US is improving its nuclear arsenal too. So many preferable uses for the money.
Yep. We’re improving our nuclear arsenal.
We’ve been doing that constantly since shortly after Hiroshima and Nagasaki.
People who have seen the obscene budget numbers for ‘Defense’ as opposed to everything else knows where all the money is going. But now that we are at a disadvantage, TPTB will spend every last taxpayer dime to catch up to protect THEMSELVES.
Mutually assured destruction? Now where have I heard that one before? Oh yeah, it’s what’s supposed to keep whacks like John Bolton in the sanity zone. Well, it hasn’t. Nor had it kept some of our top idiots in the government and military from promoting, even insisting, on a ‘limited’ nuclear strike in either/or/both Syria and North Korea. They claim that the aftermath won’t be a thing.
Bullshit.
The Russians decided they’d had enough of our shenanigans when Bill Clinton went around bragging about...
Since 2007 Russia has watched NATO creep closer and closet to their borders so they worked to ensure they’re military is definitely not any less lethal than ours. And if this report is true, they’ve taken a lead. They’re watching their economy grow, they’ll soon be a be, if they aren’t already, the world’s biggest wheat exporter, and BRICS is rising.
We’re the ones tossing around the threat of (limited) nuclear war. Now the country we’ve been poking in the eye for 30 years is ready, willing, and perfectly able to say “bring it on”.
I hate living this way. I grew up squatting under my desk praying (Catholic School) if my shit got blown to bits in a real attack God would take me to Heaven. Now, in my dotage, I’m back to praying that someone with a dirty bomb from a country we destroyed doesn’t attack us or some freaking asshole like Lindsay Graham or John Bolton doesn’t talk the orange buffoon (who thinks he’s so powerful he can tell Germany to “sever all trade with Iran” or they will be sanctions) to start lobbing nukes. Like we recently did missiles over Syria over a phony ‘gas attack’.
