(Hmmm. I guess they thought “It worked once...”): REVEALED: Obama Campaign Hired Fusion GPS To Investigate Romney

Wowza! Whatta bunch of slimey individuals. And how about all that HOPEY-CHANGEY TRANSFORMATIONAL TRANSPARANCY we were supposed to be getting from this guy? (NOTE: rhetorical question)

•A new book claims former President Barack Obama hired Fusion GPS to dig up dirt on Romney

•Obama used law firm Perkins Coie to hide payment to Fusion GPS

•The Clinton campaign would later do the same thing to investigate Trump

“In 2012, Fusion GPS was hired to do opposition research on Mitt Romney for Barack Obama’s reelection campaign,” reads “Russian Roulette: The Inside Story of Putin’s War on America and Donald Trump’s Election.”

The book is written by Michael Isikoff and David Corn, two veteran reporters who met during the 2016 campaign with Steele and Fusion GPS founder Glenn Simpson. (RELATED: New Book Raises Questions About Steele Dossier Source)

“As had become standard practice in the shadowy world of ‘oppo’ research, the Obama campaign’s payments to Fusion GPS were never publicly disclosed; the money paid to the investigative firm was reported on campaign disclosure reports as legal bills to the campaign’s law firm, Perkins Coie,” the book reads.

The Obama for America committee paid Perkins Coie around $3 million during the 2012 election cycle, according to filings with the Federal Election Commission, A vast majority of the payments were earmarked for “Legal Services.”

And just for shits and giggles:

Book Provides New Details About Major Steele Dossier Source

•The opposition research firm behind the Steele dossier tipped a major news network off to Sergei Millian

•Former British spy Christopher Steele revealed that Millian was “Source D” for the dossier

•“It’s all garbage news,” Millian said

During the 2016 presidential campaign, the founder of the opposition research firm behind the Steele dossier tipped a major news network off to Sergei Millian, a Belarus-born businessman who has been identified as a source for the salacious claims made in the dossier.

Glenn Simpson, the founder of Fusion GPS, provided the tip to ABC News despite having doubts about the veracity of Millian’s claims about President Donald Trump.

because he is being sued by one of the people in the Steele dossier. Fusion does opposition research for many people and corporations that have bad reputations and then they get a newspaper to print it. This is their schtick. His article was published before the FBI got the warrant on Trump and they used it for the FISA court. Oops. This was before Comey said that it was "salacious" and "unverified."

Obama did not break campaign laws as far as I know. But Hillary did break it when she got the FBI to wiretap Trump. Does anyone believe that they would have been interested in him if he wasn't running for president? People knew that he got wonky financial deals for years, but no one cared. And if someone from the Trump campaign did meet with the Russian lawyer to get dirt on Hillary, it would have been legal because that is what campaigns do.

prior acts’ kind of thing. A liitle bit of a reveal as to to why Obama would have spent $1 million on fixing the election for TCC himself. He got away with it. Of course he didn’t use info for an investigation into the winner, because he (lucky for him) won. But would hehave? Did Hopey-Changey have McCain investigated? Did he plant that waiter at the dinner where Romney made his 47% slander? I put nothing past the bastid. This opens the door to so many questions

Would The Empty Suit have used it like The Clinton Creature is, for revenge? Maybe, but we’ll never know.

I winder if he did oppo research on HER through the boys at Fusion.

There’s no place for an honest man or woman in electoral politics. The socio-/psychopaths rise to the top becausr there’s nothing too low to which they won’t stoop (if you get my drift).

by using the information in the Steele dossier, then yes he broke the law. This is what the republicans are looking into as well as a few other things. They have been saying that this is what was more important than the the stuupid Russia investigation. Congress has spent over a year on this and calling so many people in to testify. Why are they doing this if Mueller is doing his own? Sure seems like a big waste of time and money. Mueller has spent over $15 million on this already. I can think of other things that money could be spent on instead.

OWN campaign (that we know of). He’s done plenty when it comes to hers.

EDIT: to add that yeah, we’ve spent millions on the Mueller investigation. He should have shut it down long ago. There was no way it was going to be a real search for truth anyway. But the minute the news came out about who financed that Dossier, if he were an honest man he would have started looking at her and the DNC.

But if he were a bit more honest man, he'd be selling loosies on Cottage Grove and 69th St. in Chi-town.

after they were told that they had been hacked. It's a fact that Russia Gate started there and has snowballed from the first accusation that it was Russia that hacked them. But no, they just took CrowdStrike's word for it even though the guy who runs CS is a huge Russianphobe and a Ukrainian.

Podesta's emails were not hacked either. Someone got them after he changed his password. (Guccifer?) But people are only saying that they were hacked. Any article that starts out with this word is probably full of propaganda, IMO. They also say that Russia invaded Ukraine for some unknown reason.

Russia Gate has been debunked so many times and it's just unbelievable that people are still buying into it. Now add in Putin killed the ex spy and Britain saying that they want Putin to respond in 36 hours or there will be repercussions. Ooh, repercussions. In the past when countries have problems like this they work together to find out what happened. This is not happening here. Why not? Because it didn't happen.

Apologies for getting off topic, I'm just fed up with this. If they want to start a war with Russia, then just say so instead of spending so much money on this BS! Because this is what they want to do. We know it and others should also be told the truth.
