Native (Schuyler Lake) Memorial

Friends,

A brief announcement that Native's friends will gather here at our home for some sort of informal memorial and scattering of his ashes in the Pecos River we live next to. Weather permitting, of course, this being New Mexico in the winter.

All are welcome. Accommodations somewhat limited.

Monday, Feb. 19, 2018. Time to be determined.

Call for directions should you care to attend: 575-427-4202

Hey Claude, thanks for posting about Native's Memorial and the kind invitation. The Pecos River plays a large role in the imagination of the American West. At different times I've spent time near both ends of the river, on the Santa Fe side, but my travels never took me there, except as a small child at Carlsbad. I must have crossed it on Amtrack. It's one of those hidden gems on a too-big continent.

@Pluto's Republic It runs right through our back yard pretty much where the foothills and mesas hit the Llano Estacado.

don't always believe what you think

My gratitude for the information. My thoughts will be with you, although the rest can't be there for this beautiful ceremony sharing in the return cycle of a wondrous spirit into a wondrous natural world.

Am virtually sending as many virtual hugs as can be absorbed.

Psychopathy is not a political position, whether labeled 'conservatism', 'centrism' or 'left'.

A tin labeled 'coffee' may be a can of worms or pathology identified by a lack of empathy/willingness to harm others to achieve personal desires.

I would love to come out your way. I want to go to the Caverns and Guadalupe mts, and then drop down into TX to go to Balmorhea and Fort Davis State Parks and then to the big bend. It's on the bucket list, but not this February.

Take care, and the Pecos sounds like a great place for native!

... but I will be there with you in spirit. Is there a cause native favored where a donation could be sent to honor his life?
