Trump asks why so many immigrants come to US from ‘s***hole countries’
During the meeting on immigrants today Trump decided to let his true feelings on some the countries they come from. This disgusting person is showing the rest of the world how he and many of his supporters think about people who desperately needed a safe place to live. The outrage of what he said came quickly from many congress members, media hosts and others who have had quite enough with his blatant racism.
The only republican to speak out on this is Orrin Hatch. Where is Mitch McConnell, Paul Ryan and other republicans?
There are a lot of Tweets about this and if you click on one it takes you to Twitter and you can see more of how this is playing in the Twitter-verse.
Trump asks why so many immigrants come to US from ‘s***hole countries’ – reports
“Why are we having all these people from s***hole countries come here?” Trump said, according to the Post. He reportedly suggested the US should take in more immigrants from countries like Norway instead.

This Twitter thread is beyond disgusting and heinously full of racists.
Are some countries “shit holes”?
Trump is doing lasting damage to the country and for now it looks like the republicans are okay with what he's been doing and saying. I guess as long as he signs their legislation they will continue to put up with him even though it might do long acting damage to our relationship with other countries.

The majority of Republicans,
The majority of Republicans, and his supporters can't see any wrong he does, they got their new "hero" and have rose colored glasses on for his antics. Watch, they will justify a Nuclear 1st strike on NK since they are convinced NK has the ability to reach us.
So long, and thanks for all the fish
Isn't Cernovich the one Caitlin Johnstone said
"progressives" should work with? Ya, I thot so.
I read an article earlier tonight about a Fox news talking head saying this is how "forgotten men used to talk", the gist being Trump's supporters talk like this in bars and therefore it's all good.
Which in a way it is, it doesn't seem to matter what that dude does or says.
I'd suggest giving Trump a little more credit instead of blaming it on the deep state or rationalizing that past presidents did the same thing and Clinton would have been just as bad. The dude is completely whacked and he and his supporters, including Cernovich are fucked up people that need to be put in their places.
that's
the one. The rapist. Wonderful fellow.
The Hairball is an out, proud, howling racist, and has been all his life. That his presidential campaign would be anchored in racist hate was obvious to anyone with detectable brain activity from the moment he announced, when he went out and chundered about hordes of Mexican druggies pouring across the border bent on pillage and rapine, and it is why his people hooted out from every haint and holler to vote for him. A lot of folks have been pretty genteel about refraining from calling him a racist fuck, for no real reason that makes any sense to me. At some point that will change. Maybe that point is now.
The Republicans meanwhile just want him to remain on the rails enough so that his hand can sign the bills they like. Today was a perfect example. He awoke, smoked his meth bowl, then turned on Frauds and Fiends, which is where he gets his understanding of the world. A nutbar was on there yammering about the FISA bill, and in the shriveled dessicated testicle that The Hairball uses for a brain he became dimly conscious that it might have something to do with the pygmies The Kenyan put in the walls of Hairball Tower to Listen to him. So he went to the twitler and shrieked at warp nine that the bill was a pooper. Then people like Kelly and Ryan had to run in and hold his hand and explain to his Baby Hueyness that the bill was actually good, because it would kill brown people. So then he twitlered that it was imperative the bill pass. As Grover Norquist said: “Pick a Republican with enough working digits to handle a pen to become president of the United States. We don’t need a president to tell us what direction to go. We know what direction to go. We just need a president to sign this stuff.”
The Hairball is a truly pathetic specimen, who belongs in a basket, who will never be cured, who will forever be waiting, forlorn as for Godot, for mommy and daddy to love him. Meanwhile, with every passing day of this preposterous presidency, the extraterrestrials extend the no-go zone around this planet an additional fifty parsecs, lest the unwary stray too close, and become Infected.
and while
today he was raving around the Whiter House about shitholes, his people were meanwhile granting permission to the states out in the Hairball regions to require the lame and the halt to work for their Medicaid. They will pick up trash by the side of the road, in between seizures. Arbeit macht frei.
@hecate
Arbeit Macht Frei
You stumped me on that one. I had to look it up. Holy crap.
"Arbeit macht frei" (German pronunciation: ['a??ba?t 'maxt 'f?a?]) is a German phrase meaning "work sets you free". The slogan is known for appearing on the entrance of Auschwitz and other Nazi concentration camps.

What gets me is that some people still don't believe that yes, this is happening and yes, you can take it at face value. Trump has probably been the most honest politician of my lifetime. Not in any positive way, mind you. But just that he lays all his prejudice, hatred and lack of concern for the world outside his head right out in the open and doesn't give a flying fuck what anyone thinks. None of this "the president misspoke" horseshit when he says something outrageous. No, that's exactly what he meant. I just wish people would look around Trump, at all the politicians of both parties who really do nothing more than engage in social media outrage about him, and realize he's just the symptom of the system, not the cause, and work to change that.
Idolizing a politician is like believing the stripper really likes you.
Trump is a symptom, not the disease itself. You
nailed it.

Just wow.
You just described Trump so succinctly and humorously in a thousand words or less (even though I didn't count); and the reality his presence on prime time is creating. He is so the manifestation of the #1 brand of American sickness.
Do I have to now look up what Frauds and Friends is?

My conclusion, 39% of Mericans are Racists
That is President #Shithole's approval rating. Sure a tiny percent of that is 1%ers that are profiting by Trump's looting. The rest are Fucking Racists who finally got themselves a 'David Duke' look-alike elected.

Thanks snoopy, for posting this.
I heard about it a few hours ago when speaking with my mom. How much more outrageous can a person be, and how much more can the American public simply tune in to hear the latest episode before they unsubscribe and get on with life as it could be?

This is the cool thing about Trump, he's laying bare what the US actually is.
He's ripping off the mask.
Wake up world, the US is a asshole.
We wanted decent healthcare, a living wage and free college.
The Democrats gave us Biden and war instead.

Max Blumenthal had an incisive take on that.
And which country made those
shitholes happen? Why, we don't ever talk about that elephant in the room, do we? How many countries now has the US turned into shitholes? It's too early for me to count them but I know there are too many.

When Demosthenes had finished speaking, the people said “Let us march”.
The shocking thing in this, for me,
is not that Trump is racist, or xenophobic. Xenophobia and other forms of bigotry have been 50-60% of what the Republican party has been running on since 1991. They have few other stances; a libertarian attitude toward taxes, which gets disingenuous if you scratch its surface; an affection for war; a disgusting contempt toward the poor. All the Republicans who were more decent than that emigrated beginning in the early 90s.
They had a couple of other things in the 80s. They had a bright and cheery optimism based on hubris and, well, outright lies about the nature of America, but that only lasted a few years after Reagan left. By the time Bush was running against Clinton, the cheer had run out. So had the premise that there was a bear in the woods.
It's funny, I've made fun of that ad all my life, but in retrospect, it's quite a good campaign ad for anyone who didn't already think that the Cold War and its resultant xenophobia were bullshit already.

What's shocking is that the question is so stupid
that it goes beyond what even Trump's stupidity should be. How the hell...could you possibly not know the answer to that question?
If their countries were delightful, a lot more of them wouldn't come here. Their countries are (often) run by US-backed police states on behalf of corporate predators based in the U.S.

Must be even more disheartening for desperate refugees escaping to the US only to discover that TPTB running the US backing the imposition of corporate-run police states/terrorist playgrounds in their countries are taking off the mask and gloves of the corporate-run, terroristic police state, originally starting with the most vulnerable, (like themselves,) and working further up all of the time...

Shithole country
place where the average American can afford to retire to, and get reasonably priced health care.
yes, we have a new move in the game of class
The answer that no one seems to be considering is why
would anyone from a country like Norway want to come to THIS shithole country? The GOP and their handmaidens the Democraps have been doing their very best to turn the US into a shithole country with no regulations or taxes for TPTB. Only people from even worse shithole countries would consider coming here an improvement.

Botswana has summoned the US ambassador “to clarify whether Botswana is regarded as a ‘shithole’ country.” A Norwegian official has stated that his country is considering changing its official tourism slogan from “Powered by Nature” to “Not a Shithole.”
Despite The Hairball's expressed preference for Norwegian immigrants, there is as yet no sign of any great fleets of Norwegians rowing over to the promised land. To stimulate such, The Hairball this morning offered to trade "47 dreamers from the shithole countries for Anders Breivik." He stated he would immediately appoint Breivik to the US Civil Rights Commission.
Why would Norwegians want to come to this shithole?

that he is helping to make the US increasingly undesirable to people from first world nations.

Damn Socialist Shithole.
Why on earth would anybody want to live in a country with universal health care, a large and stable middle class, and robust public services and transportation?
I just don't get it.

That being exactly the sort of society that TPTB are trying to wipe off the face of the Earth. They're just focusing on wrecking various other resource-rich countries, for which they've created an excuse for attacking, first.

Is anyone asking why these places are how they are? How they got to be this way? Why the people need to leave?
Of course not.
Edited to add: And if you do happen to ask that question and come up with the answer that "we" did it, why you're either a Putin stooge or a Trump lover in disguise who weeps hopelessly over those less fortunate when once again, it isn't your problem. Never mind "those people" just worry about yourself. If you insist on worrying about "those people" you're just going to enflame the racists and give them even MORE reason to BE racist. Openly Racist Douchebaggery
I don't understand: it's OK for Dems to engage in openly racist douchebaggery against Russians, even to the point of engineering a neo-Nazi fueled coup in the Ukraine, but not OK for Trump to engage in openly racist douchebaggery against Caribbeans and Africans?
Why is openly racist douchebaggery OK against some but not others?
The only difference between Trump and the Dems when it comes to openly racist douchebaggery is which subset of humanity each chooses to hate.
These idiots should all just shut up and go back to their openly racist douchebaggery against Middle Easterners.
At least there it's bipartisan.

I'm wondering how this became, again, a demonstration of Racism. Instead of complaining that Trump has no compassion for the victims of our foreign policy, either because he doesn't understand it or because he doesn't see the connection between arming a police state and the desperation of its victims, somehow his hateful and ignorant remark is seen as Racism.
Maybe I'm missing something, but in the liberal perception, once again I'm seeing a complete lack of understanding of the connection between our foreign policy, not initiated by Trump and not carried out only by Republicans, and the suffering of humanity! They're blind! They're still blind when it comes to war and oppression and our underwriting of all of it.

It's not a question of compassion.
It's a question of Imperial policy, and has been since before the Romans.
Should colonial quislings who help the Empire loot their fellow countrymen be allowed to send family and friends to live in the capital districts?
One party says it keeps the quislings compliant and productive.
One party says fuck 'em, there's nothing left worth stealing.

Others have already pointed this out:
Why would Norway, or really many European nations want to live here? The standards of livings and amenities they have are far greater than what we are given here.
Now, regarding the "Shitholes". If you are one of the nations that are quite destitute and corrupt, the US still for some parts of the world has that old PR shining-city-on-the-hill spin.
