...but I can't quite put my finger on it. Maybe it has something to do with excessive golf outings? Or Big Mac binges? Or disrespecting women? I tell you folks, I'm just baffled.

I thought Trump was going to clean the swamp, end regime changes and wars, negotiate a better deal? He was going to make Amerika great again by greatly expanding the military and the nuclear bomb arsenal and greatly expand the war OF terror (his supporters ignored that part). He was going to use diplomacy instead of the threat of nuclear fucking war.

It's almost like some people in this country got duped, again.

Nah, couldn't be could it?

@Big Al
The critters are being transported one by one into a special refuge built in the White House and Old Executive Office Building. Surely you didn't think a man of Trump's gentle nature and well developed conservation instincts was going to let anything bad happen to them. Some of those creatures are one of a kind.

@Wink

Yep. He said this with a straight face during the debates on the tax bill. You can't make this shit up. This seemed to have been a great time for Sherrod Brown to tell him that if they weren't giving the 1% a blow job, there would be plenty of money to fund not only that, but universal health care and many other things. I know, right?

Which AIPAC/MIC/pharma/bank bought politician are you going to vote for? Don’t be surprised when nothing changes.

I'm sure that this doesn't surprise anyone here. And our darling of the senate is going to work on more deregulation legislation. This too is not surprising to me. Warren took part after the housing crisis. She has bought and flipped a lot of houses and she gave her family members money to do the same. Warren has fooled so many people with her rhetoric about how bad the banks are, but if one looks at what has come from that you'd find nothing. Bernie is out telling us how bad the tax bill is, but I haven't heard him say where we should be cutting defense funding or from other areas. I believe that he voted against the increase in defense funding, but still...

The calm before the storm is possibly the upcoming war with Iran. Stay tuned.

@Oldest Son Of A Sailor
... as our friend Alex Jones might say.
If I were to try to piece together the breadcrumbs (what? more coffee...) I would say that Iran is the next planned war, North Korea is a bonus war, we'll just turn it to a sheet of glass over the holidays and then get back to the main event.

@WoodsDweller Thousands of artillery pieces within a few kilometers of Seoul--too many for tactical nuclear weapons to obliterate. Short-range ICBMs will easily hit Japan, even if with only conventional weapons. South China Sea becomes impassible for shipping because the Norks have some EMP weapons as well as submarines and missiles.

What would China do? Allowing NK to blockade the South China Sea will severely hurt their economy. Military action against NK will subject China to military strikes--even if it is a "to the last man" Götterdammerung style ending for NK. Kim Jong Un is just as nuts as our war hawks.

@Alligator Ed That the Korean War is still an open book that hasn't been officially ended as well...

It was such a miserable war that both sides simply agreed to walk away and stop fighting...

We killed between 20 - 30% of North Korea's Population...
China entered the war with 200,000 troops...
The good reading starts on page 26 http://www.koreanwar2.org/kwp2/usmckorea/PDF_Monographs/KoreanWar.Frozen...

Only a ChickenHawk In Chief would consider such a thing...
