Seems to me Bernie Sanders is a democrat running for the Democratic party nomination for President.
I'm challenging here fwiw, because some have said they don't want this to be an echo chamber.
The primary problem I've had with Sanders from the beginning was his choice to run with the Dem party of which I have completely disassociated myself with. I know the rationalizations, but in the end that's what he is and what he's doing.
So maybe it's not a DNC mouthpiece like DK but right now it's largely a Dem party mouthpiece for Bernie Sanders.
should that occur I believe we'd have some philosophical differences in our discussions.
But anyway I'd characterize this Bernie support differently. I think it's all Bernie who happens to be running as a Democrat. Is there any way to conduct a poll here? I'd be curious to know, not that it matters, how people might vote and what our allegiances are.
I've heard that rational many times of course but I just can't buy it, it is what it is in my opinion. But there's no arguing it, I learned that too.
I haven't seen a poll option, but it would be a good way to get a pulse on that.
it is all about the message. This is why I want Bernie to stay in this until the last state has held their primary. I want that message to be everywhere.

As I have posted here many times, our damn two party system is the problem, not Sanders. The only way to get a ticket into the door is to run under one of two major parties. I am hoping that will change in the future, but it is what we have now. So we can have a candidate who is talking about issues that I mostly agree with and he has no ticket to get in the door, or we can have that same candidate run under one of the two parties.
If nothing else, running as a Democrat has at least gotten some important issues in the public venue despite DWS and the corporate media doing their best to keep the public from hearing what Sanders has to say. And while not perfect, his message is the best I have heard in my adult life from any national candidate.
What is the alternative to that? Jill Stein was arrested in 2012 when she tried entered the debates. So what is the alternative? Nothing?

But she needs to be one of MANY candidates arrested this time.
I'd like to see a poster with "The Greatest threat to the Two Party System" with photographs of the arrest of all of the peaceful looking 3rd party candidates, set against the UGLIEST shots I can find of Hillary and Trump.
Because I have no qualms about "Playing Fair" against evil.
I haven't been challenged when I've said flat out I won't vote for Hillary. In fact, I intend get a diary written up explaining my voting strategy including the rationale behind it and asking for comments and critiques. That's the sort of discussion you can't have on a "Dem party mouthpiece" because my strategy isn't all about Democrats.... it's about populists. It also doesn't include the "Democrat at any cost" meme.
If this site is trying to be partisan Democratic it's failing miserably at it
