Cash Flowed to Clinton Foundation Amid Russian Uranium Deal

But the untold story behind that story is one that involves not just the Russian president, but also a former American president and a woman who would like to be the next one.

At the heart of the tale are several men, leaders of the Canadian mining industry, who have been major donors to the charitable endeavors of former President Bill Clinton and his family. Members of that group built, financed and eventually sold off to the Russians a company that would become known as Uranium One.

As the Russians gradually assumed control of Uranium One in three separate transactions from 2009 to 2013, Canadian records show, a flow of cash made its way to the Clinton Foundation. Uranium One’s chairman used his family foundation to make four donations totaling $2.35 million. Those contributions were not publicly disclosed by the Clintons, despite an agreement Mrs. Clinton had struck with the Obama White House to publicly identify all donors. Other people with ties to the company made donations as well.

And shortly after the Russians announced their intention to acquire a majority stake in Uranium One, Mr. Clinton received $500,000 for a Moscow speech from a Russian investment bank with links to the Kremlin that was promoting Uranium One stock.

The New York Times’s examination of the Uranium One deal is based on dozens of interviews, as well as a review of public records and securities filings in Canada, Russia and the United States. Some of the connections between Uranium One and the Clinton Foundation were unearthed by Peter Schweizer, a former fellow at the right-leaning Hoover Institution and author of the forthcoming book “Clinton Cash.” Mr. Schweizer provided a preview of material in the book to The Times, which scrutinized his information and built upon it with its own reporting.

From the New York Times. How do you explain the sudden change of heart? Are we supposed to believe that something happened between April 2015 and today that made dishonesty on that level acceptable? OH YEAH! One of the scum they were complaining about before decided to make another (failed) run for the presidency. I’m sure she made them some pretty sweet promises behind closed doors. Maybe she gave the boys and girls at the NYT the same ‘sausage making is messy’ speech she gave to Wall Street.

Did any other Secretary of State have their own foundation and after concluding business with foreign dignitaries receive millions in donations from them? Or did Mr. Albright get paid for speeches after Madeline concluded her business?
How people can't see that this looks like pay to play isn't something I understand. There is no other way to look at this.
Does anyone believe that the Saudis care about AIDS in Africa? Or does Qatar, the UAE or any other Middle Eastern country. How about promoting women's issues? Yeah, right. The Saudis are all for it.

One article I read stated that the Clinton/Giustra relationship is to help people who want to invest their money get Bill to help them get audiences with people who can help them with their objectives. Great job if you can get it.

The Russian uranium deal wasn't the only deal that Hillary was involved with during her tenure. She also got Boeing a deal to sell them jets that was worth $9 billion to Boeing. And take a guess on what happened after she accomplished that? You only get one guess.... yep. You're correct.
