Book Reading Group
A little while ago, Blue Dragon suggested that we all read Naomi Klein's book This Changes Everything together. I think that's a fine idea. But for those of us who are interested in community building, sustainability, and that side of the work, I'd like to propose that we read Diana Leafe Christian's book Creating a Life Together. I think it contains invaluable information that has not yet been really applied in an activist context, or at least not pervasively. A lot of our comments have supported the notion of social movement building. i think this book could show us some initial steps, and it would be better than the marketing model that politics has adopted over the past fifteen years for convincing people to join a cause.
I think this would be something that people could do even if we are low energy, and it would give us a way to hang out together and talk about something positive that could lead to a practical end.
Let me know what y'all think!

We can draw from that. Compile a list and vote on which we want to read. I could maybe post s Cliffs Notes version for those who don't have time.
