that might even be a bigger advantage for Sanders -- not sure how absentees work in MI but in many states absentee voters tend to skew older and often more conservative.
However MI does have several college towns and there was a large drive to get those students that were going to be gone for spring break to fill out absentee ballots which may have shifted the usual return percentages.

In terms of shaping the narrative and appealing to voters, winning Michigan is indeed yoooj. A 5% win doesn't do much to eat into Clinton's delegate lead, but is much(!) better than a 20% loss.

Voters in the North and West, no matter what color, have different priorities than voters in the South -- you can't look at one group in SC and extrapolate that to the entire country.
I think a lot of us are detoxing from DKos and/or suffering from PKSD. It's easy to jump to the wrong conclusions about people's intentions if you've been spending any time there. I really do think it's toxic at this point, at least for me. I stopped in a couple of times, read a few comments and felt the same old irritations and annoyances and anger, at the ridiculous shit they are peddling, and at the control over who can dissent and in what way. That's nothing new, but it's gone up, way past 11, ever since the Clintons reemerged. Blech.
In other news... wow I'm psyched at the good news tonight! Go Bernie, go people everywhere who are telling the PTB to fuck off.
Immediately after I hit submit I started drafting my apology because I knew I should have asked for clarification before reacting the way I did. I was totally out of line and try really hard to be better than that.
As tempting as it is to put all the blame on the asshats over at DK that did put me into a defensive mode, the failing is still mine for reacting the way I did. I was out of line an reacted in the very way that I call all those others out for over there and am quite chagrined.
Nevertheless I do thank you all for forgiving my momentary lapse of judgement and can tell already that this is going to be a much friendlier, kinder and more receptive community for me than what I left and I would do well to remember that in the future before replying so hastily.
I am just so glad that all of you were so cool about it to quickly forgive or ignore my errant behavior.
