The truth is that Tom Perez already served his purpose. His only purpose, from the beginning, was to stop Keith Ellison from becoming DNC Chair.
We all knew the handwringing about the need for a full-time Chair (which continued long after Keith Ellison pledged to give up his House seat if he won the position) was a sham. This just proves it.
Like pretty much everything the Democrats do, the goal was to stamp out any chance of the party moving left. Mission accomplished.

Although I fully expect his grad students to teach all of his classes, most of his students to not bother showing up for the "Lectures" and still be overcharged for the privilege, and lots and lots of talk in his classes about "Realism" and "Pragmatism" and how the political system works just like they told you in high school civics, before they dropped that class of course, and now make you take it in college...

There were two reasons for why Perez was parachuted in
to lead the DNC.
Haim Saben is a huge supporter of the DNC and he said that if Ellison became the head of it, he would withhold his donations.
I don't know if Ellison being a Muslim had anything to do with it. Saben is Jewish.
The other reason was Obama wanted Perez to protect his legacy (of being the Empty Suited president) and make sure that the party didn't move to the left.
ToP bots insist that Hillary was running on the most progressive platform ever! That so many people fell for this is just mind boggling. The most progressive president in their eyes lied his ass off to the whole country and they (me too) believed him. They insist that he was the best president since FDR.
