The GOS now functions like Breitbart for Corporate Dems

Here is Armando's lying smear.
What is interesting is how a smear on GOS got picked up by more mainstream corporate Dems in much the same way that Breitbart smears get picked up by Fox News.
It makes me wonder if this is what Markos and his ilk at TOP had in mind all along with the purges that started in March 2016. Did they look at Breitbart with envy?
As for Armando, well, it's clear where he stands.
Where's the great outcry to end the use of "Neoliberal" "corporatist" "crooked" and "rigged?"

Thanks, I watched it twice lately. Because there's a big part that I miss "watching the sausage get made", now it all seems pretty pointless. Perfect quote from Armando:

When people actually show up in the flesh, it's more difficult to fake what they do. You have to engage either in execrable practices like the horribly-named "granny farming," or you have to engage in truly blatant corruption.
It's so much nicer when the people are represented solely by their digital data. Cleanup's a breeze!

Watching real time was unbelievable, every reboot seemed to come up Clinton ahead, no matter what.
Six out of six coin tosses and Bob's your uncle. I don't understand why Bernie did not really really resist right then, he always just keeps going. Oh well.

Electronics were used as
voting machines, or "monitoring devices?" The YouTube video that did it for me, a few weeks after Iowa, was the one showing the count voter asking for verbal votes. The Bernie crowd was clearly louder than the Hillary crowd, but the vote counter declared Hillary the winner. And, just like that, with Iowa went Bernie's chances of winning.

More Armando foot-in-mouth disease. Always good for a chuckle. I just hope his massive ego never stops blinding him to his own self-defeating bloviations.
The current working assumption appears to be that our Shroedinger's Cat system is still alive. But what if we all suspect it's not, and the real problem is we just can't bring ourselves to open the box?

Armando would make a pretty good Republican, might even pull the Republican party left a bit. I wish he'd go ahead and switch over.
And I'm sure Denise Oliver Velez, Kos and others...
will be right behind this SOB. Let's face facts: If the left-wing actually starts gaining real power in this country, they won't make any money with their smear machine. Sites like TOP, Breitbart, Media Matters and Infowars all need asshole demagogues like the Cheeto Emperor to keep people stupid and aimlessly angry just like Fox did with Obama...you know, in spite of the fact that he had their backs behind closed doors.

I know it's all bunk
At my caucas here in Washington state it was nearly unanimous for Sanders.
And there was a huge turnout. Such that the precinct officials were unprepared for. And yet Clinton got the nod.
Was little disappointed that the Superdelegates were not mentioned in the Jimmy Dore vid.
Talk about an uphill battle in '18.
We should just abandon the hill and go around.

Neither Russia nor China is our enemy.
Neither Iran nor Venezuela are threatening America.

Superdelegates were mentioned.
But, yeah, 2018 and 2020 are uphill fights.

Must have missed it, Wink
I do remember burping once while drinking a beer. Maybe then.
The Superdelegates are the premier reason Sanders lost though, IMHO.
I feel like calling my local superdelegate and asking who they have decided on for 2020. It's not like I have a choice.
Neither Russia nor China is our enemy.

Cuba is a dead horse, stop beating it.
bing! And, yeah, you
easily could have missed it. Was mentioned and Jimmy nodded in agreement, but wasn't discussed. And, yes, those "Supers" were the primary reason he lost the Primary. Hell, Bernie already working from 500 delegates down before Primary got started. But, Iowa went for Bernie, and the vote counter ignored Bernie supporters and gave Iowa to HRC. Caught on (YouTube) video for the world to see. Happened in Washington State, too, apparently. Fucking caucuses. No doubt Bernie won the Primary.

Don't know if you know this -
The court ruled that the Primary in June 2016 was an illegal affair inside San Diego County and that had serious hanky panky not been practiced by the DNC and Registrar's office, Bernie would have won that county.
Big Shame of it is this sort of thing would have had to occur on a state by state basis. And most activists don't have the benefit of a serious pro activist group willing to put top lawyers on such a case, pro bono.
Believing in the improbable can make your life a miracle.
I wonder how many "mainstream corporate Dems" picked up on
anything about the DNC law suit and the claims by the DNC lawyers that the Party had every right to mislead the voters about it being a fair primary. Probably none.
Beware the bullshit factories.
They seem to be ahead of the curve on echo chambering.
How do we have room
for a debate between open and closed Democratic primaries when we haven't even established that Democratic primaries should be fair and neutral? In fact, what we have established is that there is no requirement at all that Democratic primaries be fair or neutral.
Of course, neoliberal corporatist asshats at TOP like Armando never have to answer that question. Any suggestion that the 2016 Democratic primary was anything but a paragon of electoral integrity is labeled as conspiracy theory and flagged over there.
I hope Tom Perez gets asked the same question wherever he goes as the 2020 primaries approach: You argued in court that the DNC has no obligation to conduct fair primaries and you won - why would anyone bother to participate in a primary process that you have the adjudicated right to rig as you see fit?
^^^ This^^^
This should be the question at every event that Perez is at as you stated.
And this is why I question Bernie's commitment to change the direction of the DP. On the campaign trail he was saying that the minimum wage needs to be raised sooner than later, but now he's for the same incremental increases as Herheinous was. He says that by 2024, it should be $15, but by that time it should be even higher.
He's doing the same thing with MFA, which is nowhere close to universal health care that he was campaigning on.
Was Humpty Dumpty pushed?

@Dopeman
Kinda almost looks as though voters are being pushed to the only other permissible 'choice' of the Repub wing of the Corporate Party, under the same carnivorous carnival tent, for that corporate/billionaire Constitutional rewrite deleting those pesky guaranteed citizen rights, etc., doesn't it?

Heh, this is funny
I guess that Armando wasn't aware of the number of people who had their party affiliation changed and they were kicked off the voting rolls.
Or that the DNC admitted that votes don't really matter since they can just choose who our candidate should be.
This comment is priceless:

And again the Center for American Progress is in the middle
of this. The Clintons are never going to take their hands off the controls of the DP. It's not enough that they moved it to the right and embraced neoliberalism and became another wing of the Republican Party. They refuse to let it move one inch to the left.
They absolutely hate Bernie because he told the truth about the DP, but Herheinous' supporters will never hear anything bad about Her, Obama or the DP.
Was Humpty Dumpty pushed?

I see GOS as more a front doing sheep-dogging, tribal protection
Goes to Hedges who said that the democrats have learned how to talk liberal and progressive, yet in real actual policies do the opposite. Some Bernie critics have accused him of sheep dogging progressives into the graveyard of the democrats. Some truth to that but not by design. TOPS is in fact an organization whose main function is sheep-dogging and political propaganda for corporate democrats.
They constantly publish a subset of articles which are progressive. Anybody not aware of their history would think it was a "progressive site". But where they put their political monies is far from progressive, and not even liberal I would argue.
Their political arm in the last big House election gave a shit load of money to corporate centrist who would not publicly support unions from all I read (I searched but could not find any reference--more implicit anti-union stuff pushing him as a small capitalist). And yet today, on the front page of TOP, there were three prominent front pagers publishing pro-union diaries. Add to this I would say is Clinton's avid support of Walmart--one of the thee most anti-union companies in America. And this support was for Hillary BEFORE the end of the primaries.
So TOPS gave political cover to corporate democrats.
Another role is what I call tribal protection. There was a diary that attacked Cory Booker over his vote and was quickly approved by progressives. But then what I call tribal protection kicked in with a bunch of defenses of Booker. Same happened with K. Harris. Same happened with Hillary--the tribe was protected itself by the re-invention of her as a progressive.
Given them credit. They have mobilized enough moderate republicans to have a decent political war chest from what I can tell.
I just go to GOS
I would read the science diaries until...

That's all they've got...

I clearly remember when Markos M kicked Armando
off the site for quite awhile. Yep, he was flagged and bojo'd/booted off. Guess they staged some sort of successful "effort" to get him reinstated. I can't stand the Velez woman. She's a hothead and thin skinned on top of it. Plus, she's not as smart as she thinks she is. She has plenty of aholes keeping her company. Hey there, gj! Big REC'D for the progressive Energizer Bunny!! Good to read you tonight.

Thanks, gj.
Impressive feat of blogging here. Hope you're doing okay.
Huh? If Armando is curious I can help him out.
He asked:
Dude. It's right here on C99. We ALL want to end the use of those words. My guess is you'll find plenty of Independents who agree. You might even find a few Democrats.
But the thing is, we here are a reality based community so we can't really end the use of those words until the reality has changed. It's a classic neolib thing to debate semantics when you can't debate the underlying reality. What possible good could it do if we all stopped talking about your systemic corruption? It'd still exist. It would still be killing hundreds of thousands (if not millions or tens of millions) globally. How does not having the discussion help?
A lot of wanderers in the U.S. political desert recognize that all the duopoly has to offer is a choice of mirages. Come, let us trudge towards empty expanse of sand #1, littered with the bleached bones of Deaniacs and Hope and Changers.
