Speaking Fees Are an Unfair Character Attack

I found this somewhere in a thread over at dKos:

http://bluenationreview.com/bernie-sanders-is-running-negative-campaign/

What crap. But coming from Peter Daou, what else would one expect.

Here’s the Cliff’s Notes:

“What are you going to believe, Hillary, or your lying eyes?” Bernie is suggesting that you to trust your lying eyes when it comes to Hillary.

The sheer, unmitigated gall of Bernie and his supporters to suggest that millions in Wall St speaking fees might have public policy implications! Why I never!

Obama proved that a Democratic President is unimpeachable when it comes to corporate sponsorship. He took on Big Corporate & the Oligarchs like no other in memory…

Bernie is in league with Rove and the Right Wing Smear Machine. It’s all the same, just Hillary Hate™.

We got new endorsements from successful minorities.

Bernie should stop highlighting Hillary’s record and her relationships with Big Corporate & the Oligarchs.

Vote Hillary.

It’s friggin’ bonkers! It’s simple assertion of fact in the face of what we know to be reality.

Everybody knows that money corrupts politics, and talking about cozy relationships between politicians and business interests is not a personal attack.

It’s like they think these things like taking hundreds of thousands of dollars in speaking fees is some kind of personal matter that deserves deference. It is not. It is a matter of public policy — something that would merit recusal in many public policy situations is not a personal or private matter.

Peter Daou essentially just said that Hillary’s Speaking Fees are illustrative of her character. That’s about the only thing I agree with.

Looks like Bernie's victories last night stung Her Imperial Inevitability's minions a bit!

The crapola's getting really deep now!

writing in a Brock owned rag. Probably good to keep expectations of integrity low Smile

True Blue Media, a newly formed company incorporated by Brock, has acquired progressive news website Blue Nation Review. BNR's previous owner, MOKO Social Media Limited, will retain a 20 percent stake in the new entity while Brock will hold the remaining 80 percent equity balance. The sale was finalized Monday night.

Peter Daou, digital media strategist for Clinton's 2008 campaign, will serve as the new CEO of True Blue Media.

I mean it was pretty transparent stuff. Pablum would be an apt description, I think...

I don't think that shit is flying any more. I think the DLC jumped the shark a few years ago and the idea of effective corporate-style messaging went over the shark with them. The corporate media and the corporate sponsors are un-believable.

This cycle is seeing a more sophisticated electorate in general. A very big positive that could signify the end of this political era (I hope)

but we watched the Debate and the post-debate kibuttzing last night. Some talking heads and news persons were comparing Bernie's performance to Rick Lazio's (if you can believe that!). I would be prepared for almost anything coming from her campaign staff, and David Brock and Company. Oh, even John Podesta was whining about his 'tone.'

Hey, really enjoyed your test video! Not certain what breed your handsome pup is (unless he's an Australian Shepherd, maybe?), but his agility skills are totally awesome.

We never bothered to go through any basic obedience courses with most of our dogs, including our whip smart Field Springer Spaniel--with the exception of the last two. That included a terrier mix, Murphee, who at the age of almost 11 at the time of the course, was so quick to pick up everything, that the two instructors demonstrated each exercise using her. (She 'made them look good.') My avatar, our special-needs (bench) Springer, Mister B, also took the course. His final exam was flawless, which to give credit where credit is due, was quite a feat considering his various disabilities.

Bottom line, it was great fun; and it was gratifying to experience, or share a feeling of accomplishment with our 'best friends.' Hope you post more training videos.

My apologies for hijacking your thread (to talk about dogs). But, I couldn't locate your initial post.

Everyone thinks they have the best dog, and none of them are wrong.

I always love to talk dogs... it's my job and a passion.

Loot is a Border Collie. I like to call him a Ballistic Collie. He's pretty highly tuned -- like a Ferrari.

I'll be sure to post some cool eye candy stuff here.

Here's to Bernie kicking ass in my home state of Michigan.
I'd love to see the headlines: Bernie takes the Mitten!

All who oppose the coronation are racist/sexist/naziscum who must be repudiated because people have been criticizing Hillary for 30 years.

Funny how they haven't brought homophobic into it, but I guess that one's passe. Apparently once we got marriage equality we were expected to stop bitching.

There are known knowns; there are things we know we know. We also know there are known unknowns; that is to say we know there are some things we do not know. But there are also unknown unknowns – the ones we don't know we don't know.
