The creator of this piece claims ''Turkish backed rebels'' ''fighting ISIS'' make up the majority of the forces fighting ISIS, on the front lines of ISIS held territory in Syria. Turkish backed rebels have not shared a front line with ISIS since March, and at NO POINT DID THEY SHARE ANYTHING CLOSE TO THE MAJORITY OF THE FRONT LINE, OF ISIS HELD TERRITORY IN SYRIA. 70% of ISIS's territorial losses in Syria since March have been at the hands of the SAA, and forces working with the SAA (Russia, Hezbollah, Liwa al-Quds, and the PMU). There was of course no mention of this in this piece, in fact the Syrian government is not mentioned at all. In fact They are completely wiped off the map. It is impossible to believe this is a mistake and not an intentional lie. Not doing thorough research would not explain this as they couldn't have gotten this from some other source. No-one claims rebels control these territories, large news outlets like Reuters have reported the SAA's advances, especially in the past weeks. I have seen many misleading maps regarding the Syrian war reported by the MSM,the map in this ''report'' is not misleading, it is unadulterated fake news. They are fully aware of how wrong that map/reporting is. This was very much intended to mislead. Will they be labeled fake news? No, despite this being one of the most blatant examples of fake news I have seen, there will be no repercussion because the piece reinforces the Washington foreign policy narrative.
