a while. I was watching the night old Slick showed up with his sax and sunglasses. I don't know (or even give a damn) what anyone else thought about that appearance, but I was appalled and embarrassed. That was the most condescending and patronizing bit of televised political bullshit I think I've ever seen.

@dervish
report in 2012 describes it:

https://levantreport.com/2015/05/19/2012-defense-intelligence-agency-doc...

… Astoundingly, the newly declassified report states that for “THE WEST, GULF COUNTRIES, AND TURKEY [WHO] SUPPORT THE [SYRIAN] OPPOSITION… THERE IS THE POSSIBILITY OF ESTABLISHING A DECLARED OR UNDECLARED SALAFIST PRINCIPALITY IN EASTERN SYRIA (HASAKA AND DER ZOR), AND THIS IS EXACTLY WHAT THE SUPPORTING POWERS TO THE OPPOSITION WANT, IN ORDER TO ISOLATE THE SYRIAN REGIME…”.

The DIA report, formerly classified “SECRET//NOFORN” and dated August 12, 2012, was circulated widely among various government agencies, including CENTCOM, the CIA, FBI, DHS, NGA, State Dept., and many others.

The document shows that as early as 2012, U.S. intelligence predicted the rise of the Islamic State in Iraq and the Levant (ISIL or ISIS), but instead of clearly delineating the group as an enemy, the report envisions the terror group as a U.S. strategic asset.

Seymour Hersh Says Hillary Approved Sending Libya’s Sarin to Syrian Rebels

according to Seymour Hersh. It was the start of the line that the CIA and the state department used to run weapons out of the embassy after Gaddafi was killed.
Never forget how Hillary laughed after watching the video of his murder. The defender of women and children has killed too many of them.
She definitely knew that the Saudis were arming and funding the terrorists that not only 'attacked' this country, but have been doing the same in many countries.
Remember that Hillary with Obama's approval sold the Saudis $155 billion in weapons when she was secretary of state. After she accomplished that, the Saudis donated millions to her foundation. Does anyone think that the Saudis gave a shit about people dying from AIDS?
Including the sarin gas that was used on the Syrian people so that Obama had an excuse to make his red line statement.
There have been conflicting reports on whether it came from Libya or Turkey, but Hersh writes that it came from Libya.
The so called moderate Syrian rebels are actually members of Al Qaida and its offshoots and they were equipped by the Libyan weapons.

I can't wrap my mind around how anyone can deliberately give an order to kill helpless civilians and in such an insidious and heinous way.
This type of carnage has been going on since this country was formed and its going to continue unless other countries decide that enough is enough and does something to stop it.
The sooner the better for humanity's sake.

@snoopydawg
with respect to the arm sales are worth looking up, but in trying to verify, I noticed this part:

https://wikileaks.org/10years/arms-trade.html

11 October 2016 - Hilary Clinton's oversight of arms sales to Saudi Arabia

Hillary Clinton's State Department approved $165 billion in arms sales to 20 nations that had given money to the Clinton Foundation, with arms exports from the U.S. to Saudi Arabia increased 97 percent under Clinton’s tenure as Secretary of State, during which the Saudi Arabian government donated $10 million to the Clinton Foundation. In 2011, Clinton oversaw the $29 billion deal for Boeing fighter jets to Saudi. John Podesta's Podesta Group was paid $140,000 per month to lobby on behalf of the Saudi Arabian government during that period. In an email from Hillary Clinton to John Podesta, she indicated awareness that the governments of Saudi Arabia and Qatar were providing financial and logistic support to IS [formerly ISIS/ISIL], "While this military/para-military operation is moving forward, we need to use our diplomatic and more traditional intelligence assets to bring pressure on the governments of Qatar and Saudi Arabia, which are providing clandestine financial and logistic support to ISIL and other radical Sunni groups in the region.”

Hillary was told to keep her duties at the state department separate from her foundation by both Obama and congress and she said that she would. I would like to know if Obama was aware of what she was doing or not. I'm sure that he knew she wasn't using a government email address because the address was @clintonone not at @clinton.gov.
as I stated to CB, there is so many articles written about which country is providing funding, training and equipment, it's hard to keep track.
One article I read stated that our troops are upset because they are training AQ because they won't know if the ones who they trained will be the ones who attack our country again.

@snoopydawg
against Qaddafi. They were also responsible for sending weapons and jihadis to exacerbate the conditions in Syria to foment the civil war against Assad.

The CIA, Qatar, and the creation of Jabhat al Nusra.

A recent interview given by, yes, you guessed it: an ‘anonymous’ Qatari security official, has shed further light on CIA-led covert arms shipments to militants fighting in Syria. In this Reuters article, the security official and several ‘anonymous’ rebel Commanders confirm that Qatar has “tightened coordination of arms flows [plural] to Syria,” under alleged concern of weapons ending up in the hands of Al Qaeda linked Islamic extremist militants; the very militants as noted previously, that have continually formed the spearhead of the insurgency against the Syrian Government: (my emphasis)

“Rebel fighters in Syria say that in recent months the system for distributing arms has become more centralized, with arms being delivered through opposition National Coalition’s General Command, led by Selim Idriss, a general who defected to the opposition and is a favorite of Washington.”

What has been long confirmed by ‘official sources’ in the mainstream press, is that these arms shipments commenced in at least “early 2012”. We can be sure, as with the majority of the official timeline, that leeway has been given in these statements: its highly likely smaller arms shipments/smuggling into Syria started much earlier. Statements from eyewitnesses in Libya confirm that arms shipments from the port of Libyan Islamic Fighting Group stronghold Misrata, commenced rapidly after the fall of Gaddafi. Sibel Edmonds also reported in November 2011, long before any corporate media revealed, that the CIA, along with its Turkish and NATO counterparts had been working from the “nerve centre” at the joint US-Turkish air-base in Incerlik, Turkey, since April/May of 2011, coordinating ‘rebel’ elements and ‘activist’s’. Edmonds posits the likely theory that this was one of the initial staging grounds used by the CIA and its regional partners, to smuggle weapons, fighters and materiel into Syria as the insurgency took hold.
...
A fully fledged and totally malleable proxy fighting force, promoting subversion, sectarian division, and outright chaos to gain the desired US objective of the destruction of the Syrian state, ergo: removing a key ally of Iran, and the resistance to western hegemony in the Middle East. When the extremism and brutality become too exposed to allow overt western support, the US designates them “terrorists”, and within a change of clothes, they become the falsehood that is the “FSA”.

to fight in both Libya and Syria. The U.K. terrorists who were responsible for the attack in Manchester lived in the U.K. and with the help from its government used those men to help overthrow Gaddafi. The information on this was in an article that joe posted in one of his EBs. After Gaddafi died, the CIA with the help from Hillary's state department smuggled his weapons into Syria according to the Hersh article.

This a photo of McCain meeting with the members of terrorists' groups, including AQ and the offshoots of it. I have been trying to find the article that goes with his picture.
IMG_0437.JPG

So yes, Qatar has sent both weapons and jihadis to fight in Syria and Libya, but they aren't the only country doing that. In the Hersh article, he mentions that the Saudis are paying us to overthrow Assad so that they and Qatar can build their pipelines that Assad said no to. I wonder how many of our troops know of that detail? If it was me, I know that I would be pissed to be fighting so another country could profit from my actions.

And there are so many terrorists groups it's hard to keep track of who's there to fight to overthrow Assad and who's fighting against them. There should be a bingo card that we can see in order to see who's who.

The article that you linked to is informative. Thanks.

ETA: From the Hersh article:

According to later reporting by journalist Seymour Hersh, most such Libyan weapons made their way to Syria via covert routes supervised by the CIA, under a program authorized by the Obama administration in early 2012. Funding and logistics support came from Turkey, Saudi Arabia, and Qatar. The CIA supposedly avoided disclosing the program to Congress by classifying it as a liaison operation with a foreign intelligence partner, Britain’s MI6.

Is lying by omission considered perjury? I guess it doesn't matter because we have seen many people lie to congress and get away with it.

And this article shows how LIFG is a known terrorist organization that the members of it were known to the U.K. authorities and to our government.

Manchester attacker linked to Libyan terrorists harbored by UK govt for decades
This group was used to go back and forth to Libya and elsewhere that the U.K. and the U.S. needed.

LIFG members would not only assist the US and British governments in the 2011 overthrow of the Libyan government, they would also move on - with Western arms and cash - to NATO-member Turkey where they staged an invasion of northern Syria.

This article should get more exposure so that people know why they are being attacked by terrorists and who to blame when the attacks happen. People still believe that they are attacking countries out of the blue.

Here's a picture of McCain and Graham meeting with the leader of ISIS.
If this isn't treason, what is? I remember reading something in our constitution that members of congress swear an oath to that goes like this:
I swear to protect this country from enemies foreign and domestic.

IMG_1060.JPG
Abdelhakim Belhadj honored by Sen. John McCain as a hero. L to R: CT Senator Richard Bumenthal, ISIS commander Abdelhakim Belhadj, AZ Senator John Mc Cain, SC Senator Lindsey Graham
I think that McCain and Graham should be called before congress to explain why they met with the leader of the terrorists organization that is responsible for the terrorists attacks in Paris, Brussels, Nice, Manchester and possibly Iran, don't you?

is described in Wikipedia as the head of ISIS in Libya. The head of ISIS altogether, the head of the Islamic State or caliphate in Syria and Iraq, is Al-Baghdadi.

John McCain had his picture taken with Al-Baghdadi in Syria in 2013.

And John McCain has also had his picture taken with Tyahnybok, the Ukrainian Nazi figure.

John McCain elevates these psychopaths by his endorsement of their crimes.

The saga of Libyan Islamists

SUMMARY: Libya’s diverse Islamist actors played a substantial role in the 2011 armed revolution against Moammar Gadhafi and the subsequent collapse of Libya’s democratization process into armed conflict. The advances of ISIS in Libya and the breakdown of Brotherhood electoral activism in neighboring Egypt, however, present an ideological and recruitment challenge to Libya’s Muslim Brotherhood and Salafi factions.

and fighters to Libya using their recently purchased C130 transport planes. The Saudi's were reluctant and refused Obama's request.

It was Qatar that originally worked with Turkey to insert arms and jihadis into Syria, due to both having extensive connections with Muslim Brotherhood insurgents within the country that were ready and prepared to take down Assad. There was also some Muslim Brotherhood members/sympathizers in Assad's military. They were doing this while the fighting was still going on in Libya. Boiling Frogs was reporting on this because Sibel Edmonds had connections inside Turkey (she is of Turkish/Iranian descent and worked for CIA at one time in that region).

The Saudis took this opportunity to join in. They backed the Wahhabist jihadis. Having extensive connections with Saudi funded mosques all around the world, they were able to pull in thousands of foreign fighters.

Having these two strains of Muslims is why we see so much infighting and one of the reasons for current bad blood between Qatar and KSA.

I've left hundreds of posts in TOP with links etc on both Libya and Syria.
