Many thanks to the PTB for letting me get involved in this thread. If nothing else, this is where we forget about the daily grind and enjoy the sights of our members from around the world.
Thanks to all.
What a sight from hell - frozen pink beauty! Thanks for taking us there and pitching in.
Reflections on the week …
p.s. I just want to let you all know that I’ll be scarce around these parts the next few weeks.
p.p.s. If you edit your post by adding a comma after ‘photography’ in ‘Tags’ and then add ‘open thread’, the post will show under the heading of Open Threads. *** Don’t add a space after the comma. Just ‘open thread’. I hope that’s clear enough.
@Bollox Ref
Leaves expanding, evergreens all filling candles. So many greens. The color variation make me happy and hopeful. I was a spring baby and the season seems the best to me.
In high summer are all the greens the same? The evergreens are still greener, but do the annuals/perennials all get maxed out in chloroplasts?
I still have to download stuff from the camera, but here's a shot of the upper reaches of the St. Croix River.
Now off to enjoy pizza.

Hey! my dear friends or soon-to-be's, JtC could use the donations to keep this site functioning for those of us who can still see the life preserver or flotsam in the water.
@Socialprogressive
The more time I am disabled thinking about my "gardens" the more whimsy, but no gnomes. I have bought and not yet installed solar light sets. That might bemy way to garden and love my trees.

You wouldn't want a gnome like this one in your garden?

I'm great at multi-tasking. I can waste time, be unproductive, and procrastinate all at the same time.
Thank you Pricknick for assuming the role of "Leader of the Fri. Nite Pack.
I know it`s a chore so here is how I feel about it if I did assume that position.

I`m hosting a major garage sale this weekend so I`ll be a bit scarce, but don`t let that fool you.
just a few this week, and typing with a cat lying across me...
osprey! This is only the second one i've ever seen, even though they are everywhere. They're probably my favorite bird of prey, so i was really glad i caught him! The photo is cropped a lot.
baby American avocet
This is the same family of geese that we've been watching and photographing for several weeks. It's crazy how fast they grow!
A starling with a beak full of worms
Sometimes, all you can do is laugh. I was a fraction of a second too late on the shutter, and this was the result:
"I'm out!" Oh well, that's what the Worst Bird Photographs Ever group on FB is for!
I had no clue before that worms could be found in sandy/rocky places.

Gëzuar!!
from a reasonably stable genius.
Why sepia when the most green tones are now?

Iceland is again voted the most peaceful country in the world by the Global Peace Index. This is their "Imagine Peace Tower"
Still considering a move

The Azores look beautiful.
Lush green volcanic landscape, and mild year-round temperatures. It looks very welcoming.
Enjoy.
Thanks for hosting tonight Pricknick.

Nice photos Socialprogressive.
There are tree ferns in San Diego?
I like the horizontal row of 'butterfly' leaves .
Thank you Janis
I Don't know if the curly brown fuzzy things are a fern tree, I just thought they looked interesting.

Living in the land of fern trees
they look familiar.

That's awesome!
This shit is bananas.
You're right Daenerys
It is awesome, and it's also awesomely expensive. For a mere $18,500 (plus tax) you can add this gnome to your garden.

Including your 'second too late' one.
I had no clue before that worms could be found in sandy/rocky places.
There was a robin nearby
This shit is bananas.
Oooh!
Now I get it. Thanks!
