Got a cryptic text from a friend asking if I knew anybody who "could shut JFK down," and thought, that was weird. But then another responded to an invitation I sent out about a show I'm playing in Times Sq tonight that she was instead off to JFK for the protest. Huh, what's going on, I thought?

That ugly scumbag Drumpf; that clueless, thin-skinned, vindictive, incurious, slovenly, moron; that unfit for office, slimy, pathological liar. Does he know nothing about history? I venture to say he's a fairly standard dumb xenophobic RW extremist who knows nothing of the world, literature, the arts, philosophy, government, culture, because, and I'd bet on it, when he does travel probably stays sequestered among the financial elites and "businessmen" who similarly, many times, are the same, possessing incurious and narcissistic traits, with abnormally developed brains for business and making money/selling people shit but not very much else.

That's what another president said. And this prick hasn't the faintest clue about the gravity of those words spoken by FDR during the Great Depression. Not allowing refugees in, after we drop countless bombs and bring untold misery and death to so many people, while claiming to be bringing them freedom and democracy? How about all the fleeing Jews we never let in during the Nazi reign of terror?

And, what's the deal with all these reckless "executive orders" being signed and flouted, as if he's a fucking king decreeing from atop his ivory tower"? I'm starting to think the revolution may be coming sooner than I thought...

It's in times like these, however, that the best of humanity also rises.

Remember how rigorously they questioned Hillary on her ideas about deportation, and Honduras; remember how they held Obama's feet to the fire as he deported record numbers.

Perhaps if we just get out of the Middle East and let in those people whose countries have been blown up by us and our allies (here's looking at you, Saudi Arabia, UAE, Egypt,Israel, etc.), then perhaps we will not have killed so many of their citizens and created this massive refugee crisis.

The biggest purveyors of terrorism are the United States and its allies in the Middle East.
