opportunity to be in the presence of Matt Taibbi? Would you miss it? Not me!

Okay, Caitlin doesn't quite have the cred of Taibbi at the moment, but she has the same snark-a-licious quality to her work that is often seen on his twitter feed. She is also a COURAGEOUS journalist who is fighting, and I mean FIGHTING, for the progressive cause.

For those of you who never got around to learning how to do the reddit thing, I wrote an essay on it a while back, hopefully it will help.

Ready to become bi-bloggal? A 5 minute primer on the basics of READING Reddit (KFS, and WotB)

There's about four hours before the AMA begins, which is plenty of time to figure out how to navigate over there.

Re being able to make posts, the biggest thing to know is that you either have to or SHOULD click on the SUBSCRIBE button on the main WotB page to "join" the subreddit, and then you just use your Internet savvy to interact. By that I mean things like

  • add a new comment to the discussion by typing in text in the textarea you will see at the top of the page, and then pressing the SAVE button.
  • reply to another user's comment by pressing the REPLY link immediately after the comment of interest,
  • etc.

I recommend that you learn those basics ASAP, if you are interested. You can do that by going to the thread that Thumb gave above, namely
