Spot on is right! Was he talking to Markos when he made that video? I saw a diary over there last night titled Hillary for 2020. The contents were hilarious. She has to run again in 2020, She won the popular vote. After everything she's done for us, we owe her our support for another run. She'll only be 73 in 2020 and Bernie was 75. It went on and on.
Only about half rallied around the idea, the other half seemed to be realizing that they picked a loser and it was time to put her out to pasture. And a handful called the poster a troll. Personally, I agree with the ones that called them a troll. To steal a phrase from Oldest Son of a Sailor, I think the poster was just "slapping the pig"!

Remember, we're in a media age where every single word is carefully culled and crafted, and focus grouped, and vetted, and signed off on, ad infinitum. The lesson for me is that the media message of bullying, ie shutting down a conversation because the "other" doesn't conform to your standards, is effectively dead.
Demonizing the opposition won't get you their votes, it will just get you blind-sided in the election. The secret Trump vote was real, these were people that were tired of being accused of mansplaining/whitesplaining etc, and weren't going to be bullied into falling in line.
Her lost, in the most dramatic way possible.

"Obama promised transparency, but Assange is the one who brought it."
That was a performance, trafficking in that shut down, yelling down your finger, ginned up anger we're so familiar with.
It really was gross to me. Maybe it was pleadingly cynical and I didn't get the pleading part, I don't know... I got no catharsis from this performance, and I think it's because I saw it as an intended viral performance.

and a quick visit to his youtube channel was hella cathartic. Thank you for this!
For sure when the question goes around the dinner table at this year's Thanksgiving I'll not hesitate in giving thanks upon thanks to our humble yet beautiful caucus99percent. Thank you JtC/Everyone@c99%!
will never get it. There's this horrid quote running around facebook: "Not all Trump supporters are racist, but all of them decided racism wasn't a deal-breaker. End of story." I've seen half a dozen "liberals" who I thought were smart on some level post this. Sure, Clinton's use of weaponized identity politics drove disenfranchised voters to Trump, so why not make sure that we keep weaponizing it?
warmongers and are against the wars in the Middle East, but all of them accepted that risking a war with Russia by creating a no fly zone wasn't a deal breaker.
So many people joined DK because of the Iraq war and the things Bush was doing like passing the Patriot act and the NSA spying programs yet they went completely silent after Obama continued his agenda and even went further with the spying by employing over 800 agencies and especially the NDAA which gave him the power to arrest anyone, deny them access to a lawyer and hold them indefinitely.
The way I am braced to explain this to my more rabid acquaintances is this:
It turns out that the voters in this country are more afraid of bankers than rapists. I can't even disagree with them, because while rapists ruin individual lives, bankers have been destroying civilisations since the dawn of agriculture.

Seeing friends post the same meme. If it were just worded slightly differently... "your vote helped decide" instead of "you decided" it wouldn't be quite so bad. I just wanted to scream.... HEY, does your tin foil hat allow you to read their minds? you know exactly what they were thinking when they decided??? But I have done a fair amount of facebook ranting, trying to get my "friends" to stop calling Trump voters racists and idiots, and recognize that the people they are slamming live in a completely different information bubble than they do. It's a hard concept, I guess.

As I said over at DailyHos
The scolding of voters will continue until turnout improves.
Awesome video!
Yes. It's so spot it's mesmerizing.
I posted it here several days ago.
I was tempted to post it to DKos as a much needed reality wake-up call but figured it would've got me bojo'd.
I've seen it posted, but this was the first time I watched it!

Spread it far and wide!
The Hillsplaining and Demsplaining has got to stop, if we're going to move forward.
"Obama promised transparency, but Assange is the one who brought it."
I sent that to boodles of people
It's damn near perfect.

shared it here myself
In one of the daily threads, and on FB second I saw it. It's the best video yet about this matter, cussing and all.
See, their morals, their code... it's a bad joke. Dropped at the first sign of trouble. They're only as good as the world allows them to be.

I Think It's Gross. I Mean, He's Right, But He's Ugly and
unpersuasive.
I don't think it's a good message, or rather I think it's a good message, but the yelling and the fake "off the cuff" shit pollutes it.

I think it's meant to be ugly
Remember, we're in a media age where every single word is carefully culled and crafted, and focus grouped, and vetted, and signed off on, ad infinitum. Yes, a Carefully Culled and Crafted, Written & Practiced Rant.

It's a reflection of something ugly.
He got something out of my system. It was festering in there. It needed to get out. I couldn't do it.
Also, subtlety is wasted on the sort of people who control TOP.
Yep, watching 4 times helped get The Ugly out of me too

That's his shtick
Unfortunately, it's become apparent that Democratic partisans
will never get it. There's this horrid quote running around facebook: "Not all Trump supporters are racist, but all of them decided racism wasn't a deal-breaker. End of story." They can push that trope all they want
But no elections will be won until they drop it, and understand why.
"Obama promised transparency, but Assange is the one who brought it."
That's like saying that not all of Hillary's supporters are
warmongers and are against the wars in the Middle East, but all of them accepted that risking a war with Russia by creating a no fly zone wasn't a deal breaker.

Love ya, mean it
Never
Because of those last three: "End of story"
No debate, no argument, they are correct and YOU are automatically wrong, because End of Story.
But since this video's message is most likely correct, and End of Story is incompatible, I have to agree with you that 'they' will never get it.
I enjoyed the video. But I'm disappointed
because I didn't any new fucking words. Not a fucking one. Damn.
Life is strong. I'm weak, but Life is strong.
Finally watched this
