Election prediction- damn I am a genius (no just used common sense)- what is next?
Yesterday I was out of the office, took the day off to study and watch the outcome of the election. I know it would be close, but felt that Trump would win the election. Please see the link below for my original prediction on March 17.

Hillary got whooped, there is no denying that fact. However, many pundits and so call experts are blaming a host of things; sexism, racism, religion, third parties, hate, angry, liberals not going out to vote everything but three reasons and they are all follows.
First and foremost, Clinton was just a bad candidate, baggage, no theme/reason; campaign always fades at the end, and non-exciting person. She reminds me of a consultant; a big resume, talks the talks but cannot get anything done or count on them to get anything done.
Secondly, people are tired of the establishment, they just want good paying jobs (living wage) and live their lives without any feedback or interference from outside groups, celebrities, media, or government officials, telling them what is best for them without providing any value.
Finally and the most important reason, the message of the Democrat party, what is it? "Republicans are bad" or "some of their ideas but no good enough". Grade school playground logic- "you are glue and I am rubber, whatever you said bounces off me and sticks to you". This approach just does not work.
Going forward if we or democrats want to win, it is simple go back to FDR's and Kennedy's for guidance (focus on the Liberal agenda). The government needs to be vehicle or agent for positive value in people's lives. Should as:
1) JOBS, JOBS, JOBS- people need a living wage and something to do with their lives. When they have nothing and are not busy then they lose hope. How is this done? Wealthy and corporations pay taxes- their fair share- shut down loops and tax avoidance programs (off shore accounts or corporations) for wealthy interests. In addition, a building program that focuses on helping our infrastructure get fixed. There needs to be protections in place and trade agreements that are fair. I hate to agree with Trump, but he stole both of these ideas from us. For too many people, and I have seen the evidence of it, the corporations do not care about us. The government must not enable them (with laws and protection policies for them) to rob us, i.e. Labor Visa programs, allowing them to move functions overseas while benefiting from our labors. Protect and prompt unions- real ones not the mouthpieces that provide not value to their works. When more people have money in their pockets then the economy will be better thereby people's lives are better. Guess what, if Trump reworks trade deals, makes a few minor tweaks to existing laws, and gets a national infrastructure job packages implemented that provides thousands or millions of jobs then he will easily be re-elected.
2) Education- it is too damn expensive. Free to cheap education for everyone. Guess what drove the economy engine after World War II- the VA bill provided free college education to Vets. Okay, if you are worried about the cost? Then guess what create a program where if education is provided to someone then they can work for the government for 4 years after they graduate. This will provide them with a wage, experience, and help them get into the work force. Government is the number one employer in the US; why not create a system that helps kill two birds with one stone. This would be just like an athletic scholarship program.
3) Healthcare- too expensive and many people are excluded from services. Rework ACA program, bring insurance/medical companies to reduce costs and restructure reimbursement programs. Nationalize medicine- which not. Or something that is similar. We have some of the best medical centers and providers in the world- just too darn expensive for the serfs.
4) Military spending- reduce it. Reduce the number of oversea bases- no one knows the exact number of bases but we at least 500 through the world- freaking why. Stop giving aid to other countries- talk about abused welfare programs. Cost sense spending- focus on the health and care of the troops instead of investing in pets projects. I read last week, that one of our newer ships cannot afford to fight it guns because the rounds cost $1 million dollars are piece- are you kidding me? That is stupid beyond belief. Finally, get rid of many of the generals- too many in all branches and services.
5) Focus on investments (space, green, and medicine) - this is a tough one because it is not easy to spend money, but darn it if we do not invest in ourselves then there will be no future.
6) Environment- programs needs to be implemented to help protect and grow our environment while helping people live.
7) Others- fill in the blank
Too me, we need to focus on the right things and work on solutions that will address our problems, instead of using half measures or running away from things or worrying about being labeled a Liberal.
A co-worker said that democrats need to focus on the middle, and I say BS. Let us bring smart value added government solutions for the greater good of society. If we or someone other group would just have the courage to take bold steps that help people then they would win and stay in power for a long time. If you want a new party just call ourselves the Liberal Democrats.
However, why listen to me, I am just a Midwestern born common sense person.
Remember, it is all good, and always keep fighting the good fight.

Self fulfilling.
4) takes care of 1), 2), and 5).
The military is also very understanding of what damage not doing 6) will cause.
3) has had the fix right in front of our eyes for far too long. By adding 7) as in remove profit from healthcare, that one almost cures itself.
Easy peazy. Well, except for our current form of government by and for the corporations.
Ah ha. 8). Raise corporate taxes and remove their exemptions.
Regardless of the path in life I chose, I realize it's always forward, never straight.
If only Trump/US would invest in Elon Musk/Tesla.
This country needs Elon Musk at the forefront of our future. Trump needs to tap his expertise and invest in his company.
