If I Were To Craft A Screenplay "Ripped From Today's Headlines"

This is the one I would write:

The Secretary And The House Keeper

Imagine if you can, a Secretary of State, married to a former POTUS, so indolent and so mechanically incompetent that she literally cannot print an email or an addendum to an email and must have all messages requiring printing forwarded to a presumably loyal and trustworthy servant who just happens to be from a politically volatile country.

Imagine that no distinction is made between emails concerning Watergate Salad for a potluck or Presidential Daily Briefings, the trusty servant is relied on for both. Imagine that for the most classified printings the trusty servant must enter a "secure facility" for which they have no official qualifications. But yet they still somehow acquire entry (passwords, keys, who knows?) in order to fulfill their printing mandate.

Imagine that due to being so trusty and revered, the former President of the United States feels compelled to make a point of visiting the faithful servants family in the politically unstable country of their origin, making a very public notification of the relationship that exists.

But now imagine that the same country is now inconveniently under a new radical President about to renounce its relationship with the US and announce a new imperative to make an Asian alliance. Imagine that this new regime is also prone to extra-judicial killings and is aware of the relationship between the native family and the trusty servant of the former and soon-to-be-present President of the United States.

Now imagine all the possibilities for blackmail and worse of that trusty servant.

*******

That is the type of scenario that Secretary Clinton opened herself and her employee and the rest of us to. Is what I imagined for a screenplay impossible in real life? Should a person who served as SOS running for POTUS make it a believeable possibility?

From your link, one example of those given in the article showing that billions of dollars (35 billion more, in this case, added to a mere 18.5 billion) are gained/lost by these people merely on (subjective perception involving) share prices - nothing concrete - with a claim that the appearance of even more billionaires draining from those in the real economy '... was clear sign that the world's economy was recovering from 2009's global financial crisis.[8] ...' while laws are passed in American cities making it illegal to feed the starving homeless hordes this creates:

... Carlos Slim narrowly eclipsed Bill Gates to top the billionaire list for the first time. Slim saw his estimated worth surge $18.5 billion to $53.5 billion as shares of America Movil rose 35 percent. Gates' estimated wealth rose $13 billion to $53 billion, placing him second. Warren Buffett was third with $47 billion.[30] Christy Walton was the highest ranking woman, placing 12th overall, with an inherited fortune of $22.5 billion.[31] At age 25, Mark Zuckerberg was the world's youngest billionaire.[8] American Isaac Perlmutter was among the top newcomers with an estimated fortunate $4 billion acquired in his sale of Marvel Entertainment to Disney.[30]

A total of 1,011 people made the 2010. The United States accounted for 403 billionaires, followed by China with 89 and Russia with 62.[31] It was the first time China, which includes Hong Kong, placed second.[30] A total of 55 countries were represented on the 2010 list, including Finland and Pakistan which claimed their first billionaires.[31] Eighty-nine women made the list, but only 14 of them were self-made.[31] The combined net worth of the list was $3.6 trillion, up 50 percent from 2009's $2.4 trillion, while the average net worth was $3.5 billion.[8]

The 2010 list featured 164 re-entries and 97 true newcomers.[8] Asia accounted for more than 100 of the new entrants. Overall, just 12 percent of the list lost wealth since 2009, and 30 people fell off the list. Thirteen others died.[30] Of the 89 women, 12 were newcomers in 2010. Steve Forbes said the growing number of billionaires was clear sign that the world's economy was recovering from 2009's global financial crisis.[8] ...

FOIA request. I know that because just as soon as her emails hit the fan, message board shillbots pulled the Old Lady card out of her massive deck, after they'd already told the left mentioning anything related to her age or appearance would be far too sexist for decent people to mention. (But mocking Sanders age was ok, but older women are treated so much worse than older men.)

Suddenly, she was a dodderer, a helpless senior Victorian era lady, way too old to know how to use the strange t*e*c*h*n*o*l*o*g*y of which you speak (yet fit to be President, because doublethink is no problem for the Hillarious Hillarities). Then, confirming my view that their sudden ageism had come from the campaign, Hillary came out with that lame, "Wipe, you mean, like a cloth?" The woman who had ordered wiping of one server after another suddenly was reduced to a female, totally befuddled by strange machines, other than to clean them with a cloth.

I agree with the effects of Obama's foreign policy. He has undone almost 30 years of foreign policy positive accomplishments (which is a very small number). He has successfully reunited China and Russia into cooperation, with Iran thrown into the deal for good measure.

Plus, he has alienated the Philippines which once was one of our staunchest Pacific allies.

I could go one but I would be getting writer's cramp to explain more of his "successes".

and I see Obama a little differently--maybe a lot differently--than you do.

Don't get me wrong, I don't like him. He's a CEO, maybe a CFO, of the powers that be, and they and their plans are filthy and disgusting. He's got a special Tuesday meeting for extra-judicial assassination, for god's sakes.

But he doesn't want to burn down the world in a hot war between superpowers. In fact, he was dragging his ass on Syria until that reporter got his head chopped off, supposedly by jihadists (they looked more like a Western private security firm in costume to me). When he made the speech escalating Syria, he said "We know these strategies will work because they worked so well in Somalia and Yemen." People were incredulous that he could think Somalia and Yemen were successes. In my view, he didn't think they were successes--only someone from Mars could think that! I saw the comment as dry, pointed sarcasm, Obama poking at his board of directors because they're insisting on repeating a crap strategy that could blow up the whole company.

It's not that he objects to war, torture, and mayhem, but he doesn't want to destroy the world, because that's fucking stupid.

"Can you destroy the earth?"

Media Matters got it right, and that's that. But I am no defender of Hillary. Every federal employee is required to successfully complete a short course in information security as soon as they start work, and repeat the course annually. Since Hillary obviously believes the rules don't apply to her, I doubt if she ever took the training. Might have learned something useful, though.

The only reason to copy the link without the site name is to repost with shortened linkage on the same site. It suggests to me that the posting of this link comes from an approved author/editor/admin from that site.

I've never seen anyone else make this mistake in 14 years of blogging, except for myself when copying and pasting links from my site to others. It happens when I copy and paste from an admin panel or when I've copied something from my site to link internally and then paste that same code into another site. I usually catch it, but I've missed it a few times.

I'm sure it happens and has happened on sites I frequent, but when it does, it says to me that the person posting the link has some editorial or administrative connection to the site the link originates from.

It totally could be an simple, honest mistake, but I'm struggling to figure out how it could be.

everything from shit that shouldn't even be classified to objects that were above Top Secret.

In a copy of the Jan. 14 correspondence obtained by POLITICO, Intelligence Community Inspector General I. Charles McCullough III told both the Senate Intelligence and Senate Foreign Relations committees that intelligence agencies found messages relating to what are known as “special access programs,” or SAP. That’s an even more restricted subcategory of sensitive compartmented information, or SCI, which is top secret national security information derived from sensitive intelligence sources.

“To date, I have received two sworn declarations from one [intelligence community agency],” the letter reads. “These declarations cover several dozen emails containing classified information determined by the [intelligence community agency] to be at the confidential, secret, and top secret/sap levels. According to the declarant, these documents contain information derived from classified [intelligence community agency]sources.”

Just to mention, that links leads to Media Matters.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/David_Brock

David Brock (born November 2, 1962) is an American political operative, author, and commentator who founded the liberal media watchdog group Media Matters for America.[1] He has been described by Time magazine as “one of the most influential operatives in the Democratic Party.”[2]

Brock began his career as a right-wing investigative reporter during the 1990s[3] who wrote the book The Real Anita Hill and the Troopergate story, which led to Paula Jones filing a lawsuit against Bill Clinton. In the late 1990s he switched sides, aligning himself with the Democratic Party, and in particular with Bill and Hillary Clinton.

In 2004, he founded Media Matters for America, a non-profit organization that describes itself as a "progressive research and information center dedicated to comprehensively monitoring, analyzing and correcting conservative misinformation in the U.S. media."[4] He has since also founded super PACs called American Bridge 21st Century and Correct the Record, has become a board member of the super PAC Priorities USA Action, and has been elected chairman of Citizens for Responsibility and Ethics in Washington (CREW).[5][6]

The Nation has described Brock as a “conservative journalistic assassin turned progressive empire-builder”;[6] National Review has called him a “right-wing assassin turned left-wing assassin”;[7] and Politico has profiled him as a “former right-wing journalist-turned-pro-Clinton crusader.”[5] ...

IMO this is the biggest breach of security, even more so than the server. Hillary gave this person access to the State Departments secure communications. Who knows what information might have come across that secure Fax machine. That device gets all the documents that even Hillary and her reckless aides wouldn't think of transmitting over non-secured means. And Hillary had to give her the access code to that room!

From what I can tell, not a single MSM paper or network has mentioned it. Not only is the DOJ and the FBI protecting her, I think the news outlets have been told not to touch this story.

bringing her down.
They have the power to get the emails from other agencies so why would they ask the two agencies that have already cleared her to investigate her again? Plus don't they have the authority to otder these people involved with the investigation to come before their committee and question then themselves?
During the Benghazi hearings they didn't ask Hillary what was happening at the embassy when the CIA and the state department were running weapons out of it. They were aware of what was happening during that time yet they didn't ask those questions.
Also many members of congress are financed by the banks and the other corporations that are financing Hillary's campaign.
We saw that Podesta basically told Obama who was going to be in his cabinet and these people want Hillary to be president and if they interrupt their plans then they can kiss their membership goodbye.

It's sad to be so cynical about who actually runs our government, but the wilileaks email leaks should be enough for prosecuting Hillary and the other people who mishandled classified information.

place.

You don't even have to know a law exists in order to have criminal intent. You just have to intend to do what you did--and even that is dicey when it comes to something like drunk driving or committing bigamy while under the influence. So, let me keep diminished capacity out of this.

Let's say I have no clue my city has a criminal law against littering. And, not seeing a trash can anywhere, I throw my now soggy ice cream wrapper into the street. I did not drop it accidentally or unaware. I intended to throw it into the gutter. Boom, I have committed a crime because I intended to throw the wrapper into the gutter.

The specific crime is littering. You commit that crime by littering intentionally, even if you don't know a law against littering exists. That is how the standard of criminal intent is applied in every state and federal court in the US. We've all heard "Ignorance of the law is no excuse." Well, if you don't even have to know a criminal law exists in order to have criminal intent how is, "I didn't mean to break any law" an excuse?

Comey, a graduate of either Harvard Law or Univ. of Chicago Law (I've seen both) knew better and so did the lawyers I am sure he ran his statement by. For that matter, so do Hillary and Bill and every lawyer in the U.S. worth his or her salt. Comey bs'd America because he could not let Hillary off the hook any other way. She certainly intended to use her own server. She certainly intended every reckless act she took in relation to handling of classified/secret material. She certainly intended for her servers to be wiped. That is enough to satisfy the criminal intent standard in each instance.

code to a SCIF to someone not cleared. Hell, even to someone cleared but not directly managing the SCIF. My God, had I done that back in the day I'd be in jail, as you so eloquently point out. And whether the stuff was Secret or Top Secret isn't the point - I hear that so many times from people saying this is no big deal, it's just Secret. The fact it came in on a secure fax means it should be secured, period. And it usually means it doesn't ever leave a SCIF either. And yes, there are always pages in any document marked that really don't have any actual classified on them, but that does not matter either. Every page is marked with the highest classification of any information within in it and if that page is found outside of a SCIF that's a pretty big deal. For ordinary people anyway. For HER, it means nothing.

Someone else mentioned that by giving the maid the code

to the SCIF room and having her print anything that come into it without her having security clearance is 'intent' to break the law.
There were many other people who didn't have security clearance and revealed and sent classified information, but this surely shows that Hillary didn't protect classified information properly.
How the media isn't screaming about this story is mind boggling.
There is that navy person sitting in prison probably asking WTF?
He had pictures of his submarine in his desk and didn't show them to people.
I think this is much worse.
No prosecution or even charges for this show that Hillary is being protected.
And it means that the rule of law in this country is dead.
We saw Petraeous get off with a $100,000 fine after giving his mistress classified information so she could write a book, while Sterling, Manning and Kirikeou went to prison and Drake's life was made a living hell.
Nice legacy, Barry

As always, great comment and points!

Would just, if I may, add the question of whether Obama ever did claim that 'his legacy' was intended for the benefit of the American people? Or was it just left to be assumed that 'of course, it was' and not to the paymasters he was more circumspect about (not that this would be hard, bitter lol,) than was Hillary? Because it very obviously isn't and it also doesn't appear as though many of the American people will survive that 'legacy' of the Bush Admin-initiated corporate coup, with the management of the implementation of global corporate 'law' to be handled by the Clintons or anyone else, for very long... maybe 1% of them, or some much smaller top fraction thereof?

So, didn't Obama also show intent of his traitorous actions, even if also inadvertently - and regardless of false claims of any overall benefit accruing thereby to the American and other people of the world to be dispossessed for the profit of the international .0001%-ers?

Psychopathy is not a political position, whether labeled 'conservatism', 'centrism' or 'left'.

A tin labeled 'coffee' may be a can of worms or pathology identified by a lack of empathy/willingness to harm others to achieve personal desires.

I think she printed them out and left them in the study.

I'm not insinuating that she's here illegally. But is she a naturalized citizen, or does she have a green card, or what?

And to be clear, I am not implying that in real life her servant did anything except follow her employers orders and deliver paperwork.

But the potential for abuse is there and it exists because of HRC flouting rules, as she does habitually.

I said earlier that IMO Hillary Clinton exhibits what Bill Black calls "control fraud" which is where executives manage to corrupt an entire corporate environment by demonstrating from the top that there is no respect for rules, laws and regulations. Again, just my opinion, but I think it looks like HRC managed to contaminate the entire State Department and turn it into a Clinton Foundation facilitator.

pertinent. If you are not a citizen of the US are you protected by the constitution and the bill of rights? Point being, if she were called into congress to testify before one of the committees, does the 5th amendment protect her from self incrimination? I don't know the answer to that question but the same question about her status also crossed my mind for that reason.

I'm sure someone here can answer that question.

Even undocumented aliens, which I assume Ms Santos is not. She might even be a citizen, I found no info on whether she is or not.

I really wasn't sure. Particularly when it comes to the 2nd amendment and possibly the 1st. Still seems a little difficult to comprehend that an undocumented alien could have the unquestioned right to bear a firearm.

American citizens are guaranteed to have their Constitutional rights protected in every State of the Union.

It's also clearly stated that the only legitimate US government is, as described, 'of, by and for the people'.

If Americans had the latter, they'd have the former as well. Instead, they have neither. Just saying.
