Now, I know it ain't Hillary, it's just the Veep candidate, and Tim Kaine at that. But the fact that they sent someone to Alachua County is weird.
We are the county that always goes blue in North FL. You don't really have to worry about us, not in the general, anyway. If they're trying to rev up what's left of the base, I'd expect them to be in Dade County, or a more populous Democratic stronghold; if they're trying to persuade us, um, they're worse off than I thought.

let me put it this way--last night I went to an early Halloween party, right? I had found a "jailbird" costume cheap (at the Goodwill--if you're looking for cheap Halloween stuff for your kids, try the thrift stores, they're in on it now). So on a whim, I stopped at the Spirit store last night before I went, and I bought a Hillary mask and a Trump mask. Not hard to find, they're not flying off the shelves or anything (in fact, these were marked down)
So the whole way to my friends house, it was like "Eeeny meeny miney Moe, which one should I wear?" I finally decided to put Hills on the back of my head and the Donald on my face, right? I walk in and everybody starts booing--and then I turn around with my back to them and the cheering was immense, LOL! And then the hostess made me flip it around, so I was Hillary on my face, and Trump on the back. She also told me I ought to find a party next weekend paying out on a costume contest, and wear them both--that way, nobody gets pissed off, hehehe....

I still can't believe *I* thought of it--I usually suck at stuff like that. It's not that it's particularly original, just that little twist of the two masks made it something else altogether. But I was also trying to think of what else to wear with the freakin' jailbird suit, as by itself, it was kind of boring. There was no mask or makeup, and it just felt....incomplete, somehow...

Received one of the DNC's fundraising letters disguised as a "survey" yesterday. They included a bumper sticker that says, "Proud Democrat". I've cut up the bumper sticker and will be including the pieces along with articles about the DNC's corruption to let them know where they can shove their request for money.
I got that one too! Also had a thing on it asking me to use my
own stamp to save them money...
Needless to say I stuffed as much junk-mail as I could back in the envelope, filled out the survey line saying, "Don't mail me anymore, I no longer support the DNC as I am not a cheat or fraud unlike the rest of you bought and paid for charlatans. in order to donate to Bernie. Recently I got an e-mail about my re-occurring donation to the DCCC. I have never donated to the DCCC, in fact I have been trying for months to get them to stop sending me e-mails. I think that I have stopped the donation, but will keep an eye out for any more funny business.
