Jimmy Dore: Trump Campaign is DOA. Now It's OK to Vote Third Party (video)
Submitted by Citizen Of Earth on Thu, 10/13/2016 - 9:47am
If you planned to vote for Hillary to prevent Donald from winning, Jimmy says no need now because the Trump Campaign is Dead On Arrival. So vote your conscience and get Greens to the 5% level so they get future federal election funding. You are hereby ABSOLVED to vote your conscience.
The video contains clips of prominent Repub officials and strategists admitting that the bottom has dropped out. I love Jimmy's reasoning that "they (the Oligarchs) know the revolution is coming". And Jimmy shares his vision of what the Clinton presidency will bring us (hint: no good). I thought it was a fun watch, your fun level may vary.

"Bring it home, boys."
That's what refs in the World Wrestling Federation say when it's time to move into the final prearranged sequence of the match.
This is the part where Trump collapses like a flan in a cupboard--but it's all prearranged. That pathetic tape. It's not even a proper October surprise. It's shocking that so many people have responded to it the way the PTB wanted them to.
I do think the PTB are a little shocked and uneasy at the number of non-compliants around, including those still willing to support Trump.

In wrasslin' they call it "kayfabe".
Trump vs. Hillary is the very definition of kayfabe:
[mass noun] (in professional wrestling) the fact or convention of presenting staged performances as genuine or authentic.

Kayfabe

Is The West Wing set still around?
We could take her from the Innaugural to the set and let her play President for four years. We could hire some of her on line "supporters" and some of her "Delegates" who cheered her at the Potemkin Convention.
Just make sure she gets fictional launch codes.
Good idea.

That’s a *fantastic* idea.
Then, after she goes all first-strike on Putin’s a-- from the underground bunker, of course Madame President will understand that she cannot return to the surface until, um, all the radioactivity subsides.
Perfect! And Trump can build
Perfect! And Trump can build a (much smaller and cheaper) nuclear-impervious wall around her, rather than America,to keep her (and society) safe!
Psychopathy is not a political position, whether labeled 'conservatism', 'centrism' or 'left'.
A tin labeled 'coffee' may be a can of worms or pathology identified by a lack of empathy/willingness to harm others to achieve personal desires.
Not buying it Jimmy.
I'm voting for Jill, but anybody who thinks GOP voters aren't coming out big for Trump (and against Hillary) on election day deserves a week of solitary confinement watching MSNBC 24 hours a day.
The guy out on a limb here is Ryan, whose stance is winning him no kudos from a Gooper base revved up by Trump's debate performance Sunday. Ryan had better watch his back next primary, especially if Hillary wins.
I appreciate Jimmy's arguing for Jill, but not by parroting MSNBC's false narrative about fracture, when what is really happening is that the rank and file with psuedo-populist Trump as their champion are usurping control of the Republican party from the financial elite. The GOP base is not divided. If anything it's more united than it's been in years.
The current working assumption appears to be that our Shroedinger's Cat system is still alive. But what if we all suspect it's not, and the real problem is we just can't bring ourselves to open the box?
Was he talking about the voters fracturing?
I thought his focus was on the fracture between the voters and the elites. And maybe a fracture between the elites themselves.
That's a good point.
If there is a fracture within the party leadership, I think it falls mainly between those whose funding comes from the commercial (manufacturing and services) sector and those who get their dough from the financial (banking) sector.
The vulture capitalist and free trade policies of the financial sector have really hurt the commercial (real) side of our economy, and a lot of traditional business leaders (Trump included) are fed up.
The current working assumption appears to be that our Shroedinger's Cat system is still alive. But what if we all suspect it's not, and the real problem is we just can't bring ourselves to open the box?
This is what I also thought
What we are seeing is a realignment instead. The problem here is the two major parties have become the corporatist party, formerly known as the Democratic party, and the know nothing party, formerly known as the Republican party. This realignment leaves a LOT of room on the left for the new populist party.
The corporatists in both parties, but particularly the Democratic party, are directly responsible for a Trump. And I agree with Jimmy that the next crazy candidate out of the Republican party will be far more dangerous and worse than Trump. Meanwhile the Democratic insiders are probably celebrating what they believe is the demise of the Republican party at the same time they are furthering the demise of this country. Talk about totally tone deaf. That is the Democratic establishment.

Yes. Paul Ryan got booed at a rally in WI
by Trump Supporters. The freakin Repub leader of the House booed at a Repub rally. So the Repub voters may indeed split with the party leaders on this. This circus has become the best circus eva.

Well there are definitely tectonic forces at work
in the Repub party now. Whether it will sink the USS Trump, who knows.
I'm watching another Jimmy video now where he is laughing at all the Repub politicians that are abandoning Trump over the P***y tape. So these idiots did not abandon Trump previously for 1) ridculing a handicapped man at a rally, 2) all his rascist, xenophobic talk, 3) saying he would bang his daughter, etc etc. But saying the word P***y was crossing the line. Hilarious.

Exactly
Desperate times call for desperate measures. Anyone who still believes the Donald's candidacy was sincere is dreaming. And you know what? I still don't think it's going to be enough to keep Hillary from beating him, unless they really fix the ballot counts.
And you know, this may explain something--when there was maybe one other challenger to the duopoly, it was probably fairly easy to cheat believably. But now that there are four of them, with the R and the D both being grossly unpopular--I have to wonder if they think that cooking the counts won't be as easily-done as it usually is--and that's why the desperation with all this other stuff is starting to border on hypocritical hysteria?
Trump's not a plant.
A plant doesn't call Bill Clinton a rapist at a national debate, nor does he threaten to lock up Hillary for the email scandal.
This shit is very real and getting realer.
The current working assumption appears to be that our Shroedinger's Cat system is still alive. But what if we all suspect it's not, and the real problem is we just can't bring ourselves to open the box?
I don't know.
I see all of that as part of the kayfabe.
Jesus, it's hard to keep track anymore. But my cynicism about all of this if off the charts.
I agree. IMO Trump is not a plant
But I am dumbfounded that Repubs let him into their primaries. Trump has led a very public life. Any PI could have cataloged most of his issues. Or maybe Repubs can't control who is allowed to enter their primary. In any case, he has gone Rogue. LOL.

I'm of a mind that the Clinton's
Played Trump. Got him to run, set up the conditions so that he'd get plenty of air time, and started going in for the kill. I don't think Trump signed up for this kind of electioneering and I don't think Trump is very smart. So, yeah, it did just get real. But the Clintons are still to blame for unleashing him on us in the first place, and blackmailing us into voting for her.
There is always Music amongst the trees in the Garden, but our hearts must be very quiet to hear it. ~ Minnie Aumonier
I'm not voting for her, so she failed in her mission
And unless someone demonstrates firmly that he really, really, REALLY wants this job, I will maintain that he's been a ringer from Minute One, to make that woman look more "electable".
WAY too many things have happened which only makes sense through that particular prism.
At this point I don't think Trump is a plant
Maybe he was encouraged to run with the assumption that he would be a walk-over, but now he wants to win. Maybe he wants to give the Clintons payback, maybe he sees the Presidency as a way out of impending debt or legal problems, maybe he is completely behold to his monstrous, abusive ego. I'm pretty sure he's not really that concerned about saving the planet from climate change or democratizing our politics our addressing the oppressive wealth gap or dealing with the self-destructive hatred and division in our Country. He is visionless and he'd be clueless when facing a real international crisis. His supporters are missing the real issues. I wish they'd wake up and participate in a mass vote for Jill Stein and forget about the establishment.
Beware the bullshit factories.
This has also occurred to me
from time to time:
It was supposed to be a walk-over, and then he started winning. Right? I read time and time again that nobody fixed the GOP primaries like the Dem one was fixed.
So then, with all those wins, naturally his ego would kick in. When he started turning out to be so popular, someone reminded him he wasn't ever supposed to win. And then he said "FOAD, Clintons, I can win this" and started trying to engage the Bushco holdovers and neo-Cons, to get them behind him and be a Real Republican, you know? To save his own ass, because he was WINNING, dammit. From there, it's not hard to imagine him alienating them when they told him something he didn't like, and now everybody has the knives out.
Because IMO, it's NOT a close race. At all. Trump will run away with this unless Clinton gets the voting fixed, and they can't DO that with multiple credible candidates in the mix.
I'm not sure if I'd like to be wrong about any of this or not
Sure he does.
[video:https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=J3MkuJdfPw4]
The heel, which is the role Trump's playing, can say whatever he wants as long as he eventually smashes his own credibility to pieces and elevates the face, which the the role Hillary is trying, and failing, to play.
It's almost something of a tradition in wrestling to have the heels also be obnoxious truth-tellers, voicing inconvenient truths the faces don't have the guts to say. It's just that all of that eventually collapses under the weight of whatever huge gesture of self-immolation the heel performs on his own credibility.

No way that debate was scripted.
If Hillary and Bill had been pulling his strings, they would never have allowed him to go that far.
I know its become kind of hip in Progressive circles to claim in a cynical, nonchalant way that everything is rigged, especially after Bernie's demise, but there actually is real contest happening here, and just writing the whole thing off as kabuki misses some very important and deep seeded changes happening in the mindset of much of the American electorate.
The current working assumption appears to be that our Shroedinger's Cat system is still alive. But what if we all suspect it's not, and the real problem is we just can't bring ourselves to open the box?
Yup. When Trump unloaded on Slick Willy in Debate2
Calling him out for his affairs, I laughed bigtime. Then to see Bill's stone faced stare, it was like a Game of Thrones moment. No way Trump is in bed with Hellery. It's true hatred on both their parts.

Bill after the debate...
The current working assumption appears to be that our Shroedinger's Cat system is still alive. But what if we all suspect it's not, and the real problem is we just can't bring ourselves to open the box?
It will take a lot for me to believe it's not kabuki
1)Donald made a contribution to Hillary's 2006 Senate campaign.
2)Their daughters are best friends.
3)The Clintons attended Trump's wedding. The picture has made the rounds; the Clintons and the Trumps appear to be very convivial w/one another.
4)Bill Clinton called Trump and had a long conversation with him right before Trump entered the race.
5)The media corporations, 4 out of 5 of which are Hillary donors, elevated Trump to this level, giving him all the oxygen he needed, when they could have pulled the Bernie Sanders treatment on him, and even justified that based on how "fringe" he is. They were probably doing that because....
6) He was the only Republican candidate that polls clearly indicated, on a consistent basis, that she could beat. If she were running against Marco Rubio, she'd be toast. Even Cruz would have had a better shot of beating her. Hell, Ron Paul would cream her.
7)This is wrestling. And there's nothing hip about it. If I treat it in a cynical, nonchalant manner, it's because that's preferable to tearing my hair and and screaming.
As for writing off deep changes in the American electorate, not at all. Most of the people who support Trump are absolutely authentic, as he is not. I actually feel sorry for them, because despite all their horrific beliefs, they do at least see that everything has gone horribly wrong, and they want change, and they're turning to a con man and giving him their faith. That hits me where it hurts, because, of course, that's what I did in 2008 when I wanted change.
The difference was, that I wasn't a racist xenophobic prick; but the experience is similar enough that I feel pity for them. I also feel anger, and outrage, because they have no right to blame Black and Latino working people for what's happening to this country.

I agree, but then Trump has:
I agree, but then Trump has:
a massive ego, further inflated by all of the billions in free media as The Greater Evil to Hillary's nose-plugging (purportedly) 'Lesser Evil' and the attention and adulation he received by just rattling off disgusting nonsense;
seen the opportunity to make great deals in selling off America and the rest of the world, via that huge military and nuclear armament;
bragged about not keeping his word in business agreements when he sees the chance to squeeze for more than was agreed upon or to otherwise benefit himself.
I would not be at all surprised if he's broken the deal with the Clintons as 'Hillary's Turn' loops even the loopy with all of the spin required to try to make people too dizzy to read about what a lunatic and greed-driven monster she is.
I can only hope that his supporters discover Jill before it's too late and help vote to give us all a chance at survival.
TPTB would ensure that his even ghastlier VP actually ran things, I'm sure, should the election fall out that way, if the Hill general election cheat has to be abandoned because of its impossibly gross implausibility and easy provability.

Doesn't that fit with both the 'loose-cannon Greater Evil' tactic intended to scare voters to Hillary and with the 'all that's a right-wing/Trump conspiracy' strategy for discrediting legitimate concerns about actual criminal tendencies and acts?

Oh, I don't know; in Utah
Trump and Hillary are tied with like 26%, Johnson 21% and some other asshole with 11%, according to a thing my husband saw yesterday. I'm still voting Stein though. We'll have mail-in ballots, but I don't know about those either. Too easy for them to be "lost".
This shit is bananas.
Amazing to see Johnson polling so close
to the two Corporatist parties. Not a fan of the Libertarian party but it would be nice to see them beat the Ds & Rs in Utah.

Utah has a large Mormon population.
They're no fans of Trump, so it really doesn't mean anything if he loses or wins there. It's not a referendum on Republicans, just Trump.
Tell me about it!
The way the polls are being cooked for Hillary makes me suspicious it's a set-up for a believable "win" in November. I'm not generally paranoid but I have met very few Hillary supporters and my "bubble" is definitely anti-Hillary and pro-Stein.
There are tons of local election signs all over my town (Santa Clara, CA) but I haven't seen a single one for Hillary or Trump. Ditto for car stickers.
I also vote by mail. I can drop off my ballot at a box at the local library branch and I can check online to see if my ballot has been counted. I did this during the primary after my democratic registration became "No Party Preference" somehow. I will definitely check again for the general.
"The presence of those seeking the truth is infinitely to be preferred to those who think they've found it."

I've seen ONE Hillary sticker so far,
and we saw one Trump one a while ago on a BAT (big-ass truck), which also had iron crosses etched on the bumper. Haven't seen any yard signs. It's almost like people just aren't excited about the candidates this year.
This shit is bananas.
Clinton and Trump tied at 26 percent in Utah
The latest Utah poll shows Clinton and Trump tied at 26 percent. Independent candidate Evan McMullin is at 22 percent, also a statistical tie because of the 4.5% margin of error. Libertarian Gary Johnson is at 14 percent.
With the Tea-GOP vote split three ways, Hillary could end up raking in Utah's 5 electoral votes. Just one more weird thing in a very weird election year.

Oh yeah, that's who it was.
I guess I got the numbers switched around. Never heard of him.

Appears to be the 'Mormon' candidate
so that's why he got stellar numbers in Utah. His principles sound close to Libertarian (ugh).

Polls are LIES
in this sham of an election. The way polls have been used in the last 20-30 years is as nothing more than bullshit propaganda constructs.
People need to wake up and stop letting "polls"influence their voting choices, NOW, TODAY.

Trump and Hillary are tied in the latest Utah poll, but I am voting for Jill Stein no matter what. I have my mail-in ballot already.
