Heh, I take a vacation til the elections are over,

there are too much emotions displayed here that are hard to digest for my guts. So, I am going away for a while. May be I get back to have a date with my camera. I might just visit the kinder, nicer places here and lurk. There is a lot to love in here, but I can't take the rest.
I can't vote anyhow, so all of it is good for nothin' with me. And don't give me crap comments, because it sounds like GBCW thingy. The world is cruel and I am a polite person to say "bye for now" to you, in case someone would "miss" me here (that definitely sounds funny to my ears) ... /s
Hope to see you back, when we have a President and at this point I don't care any more who it is. Too much loathing in the air. I wish you and me and all "good luck".

mimi, the election is already over
Don Ho, he is now the president. He will bring to the people, tiny bubbles.

I would be totally into having a President like Don Ho
Or a really good comedian and entertainer if we knew that there was nothing more we could do to stop climate change. In the meantime it probably is a lot healthier to take a break from this ugliness.
Beware the bullshit factories.
Love you, mimi!
Love you bunches!
I hope you can see your son!
Have a fun rest, mimi.
Hey! my dear friends or soon-to-be's, JtC could use the donations to keep this site functioning for those of us who can still see the life preserver or flotsam in the water.
"bye for now"
take care. i just took a break and had swapped my grey wolf for a fly-on-the-screen avatar for awhile ...
Have a nice vacation
The election is a foregone conclusion anyway, no matter which major-party nominee wins.

You WILL be missed. Now we have another reason to look forward to getting the election over with.
I feel ya. Take care.
Definitely agree
I've been only sporadically visiting this place of late as the whole election thing is really saddening me.
Saw a Hillary supporter -- I think it was Jess McIntosh of Emily's List (ugh) -- say the other day that the American people won't elect Trump because the American people are smart.
And I cynically thought, "You mean the same people that watch 'Keeping Up with the Kardashians' and 'Duck Dynasty'and made Honey Boo-Boo a star?" and then checked myself. I need to lighten up. Last weekend's Star Trek (original series) marathon on BBC America helped. Need more of that.

I understand. My stomach
I understand. My stomach hurts most of the time. I was just thinking that I need a break from all things political/environmental/social justice etc. for awhile. Long walks in the woods and yoga. I'm not kidding. Some of you must have stronger constitutions than I have. Take good care, Mimi.
Nah, just strong alcohol ;-)
If pot were legal here, I'd be partaking right now!

I look forward to your return, refreshed and re-invigorated to fight the good fight.
There are known knowns; there are things we know we know. We also know there are known unknowns; that is to say we know there are some things we do not know. But there are also unknown unknowns – the ones we don't know we don't know.
Sounds sane to me mimi
Much better then throwing your computer out the window. How many essays can one read about the shenanigans of pols and the courtiers. The election is over and the bad guys one all of them blue or red or even pretend green. I've been reading stories about people resisting like the Indian tribes at Standing Rock.
I just think endless blathering on about Bernie, The Mad Bomber and the congress from hell is depressing and useless. See you later hope you spend some time with your son and get to be creative with your camera. I feel a lot better when I turn off the computer and do some real stuff.
There are even real life political things one can do on a local level. I'm going to participate in the Stop Demolishing Portland group Maybe it will help to get rid of the Democratic 'progressive' pols who are demolishing the place. so have some fun dear friend and when you come back show us some photo's of your vacation.
Hi mimi
I appreciate your kindness in letting us know. I trust you will find solace in whatever you pay attention to.
Your comment to me in the photography O T was really sweet and meaningful. I look forward to your comments later, wherever you express them.
I know you like leonard ...

Understand. See you soon.
I took lots of mini breaks, but I am still here reading and liking some of the posts and comments. Me? I am still in the Stein camp. Changed my voter registration. Once I made up my mind, the election was over for me. Though, it is hard to avoid news on it. But I just skim the surface. The more news I hear, the more I start leaning towards "The Giant Meteor 2016" support. This whole election is toxic.

I do hope you'll come back, Mimi, and
anyone else who is taking a break.
