Both GOP & WikiLeaks sent letters to DOJ about Clinton investigation

GOP lays out case for charging Clinton with perjury

A pair of leading House Republicans on Monday laid out detailed instructions for the Justice Department to file perjury charges against Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton.

More than a month after first requesting the department open a criminal probe into Clinton for alleged misstatements she made under oath, the GOP heads of the House Judiciary and Oversight committees told a federal prosecutor specifically where they believed Clinton had lied to Congress about her email setup at the Department of State.

Haven't seen a copy of the letter yet, but here's what The Hill details:

Monday’s letter is a sign that Republicans are committed to pressuring the Justice Department to act against Clinton, even after it notably declined to prosecute her for mishandling classified information.

The GOP chairmen also appear to be making a public case for an indictment, perhaps building off widespread unease with the decision not to prosecute the former first lady. In addition to their letter on Monday, the Oversight Committee also released a 2.5-minute video detailing apparent inaccuracies in Clinton’s testimony.

Following news that the department would not indict Clinton, multiple Republicans noted apparent contradictions between what she said in public and what the FBI discovered to be true.

In a separate article, Assange draws contrast with how WikiLeaks has been treated:

Assange: DOJ set ‘new standard’ for Clinton

WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange says the Department of Justice (DOJ) set a new standard for its investigations with its probe of Hillary Clinton.

“Our D.C. lawyers are delivering a letter tomorrow to Attorney General Loretta Lynch asking her to explain why it is that the now six-year-long national security and criminal investigation being run against WikiLeaks, the reason I have political asylum, has not been closed,” he said on CNN’s “The Lead” on Monday.

“Because the DOJ, whose actions seem to be setting a new standard by closing the Hillary Clinton case,” Assange added. "The Hillary Clinton case has only gone for one year.

“Hillary Clinton’s case has been dropped, the case against WikiLeaks continues. So why is it that the quote, ‘pending law enforcement proceedings’ against WikiLeaks continue? There’s a problem here.”

There is a double standard. The Clinton's are teflon - nothing sticks despite all the Clinton goo. IF she's elected I suspect the media will throw her under the bus (after the TPP passes) reporting on the foundation and encouraging impeachment (to boost ratings). Much as they have done with T-rump.

I can't help but think the sex charges against Assange are set up too. I think the Swedes are going to the embassy this week - perhaps to resolve the charges.

were perfectly crafted to be a smear that resonates the strongest with his most likely audience.

Liberals hate rapists. No question about it. We freaking hate em. (At least publicly. There's the asshole double standard liberals, but they exist in every movement... which is of course what the media and government accused Assange of being!)

So, of course, now Assange is not only a rapist, he's a traitor and hypocrite. Such a perfect way to get us fighting with each other, instead of paying attention to what he said.

They tried it again with the DNC hacks and the Russia connection... Only problem was that the right is less likely to believe smears because they think EVERYTHING the media says is a smear.
