My new, favorite little hero
This is the latest picture of the Palestinian Occupation to go viral. The incident happened on August 28, following a demonstration against the confiscation of Palestinian lands in order to expand a Jewish settlement.
At the far left of the picture is 14-year old Ahed Tamimi, biting the hand of an Israeli soldier who was trying to arrest her 12-year old brother, Mohammed.
You can see from this picture that her brother Mohammed had a broken arm.
Eventually the Israeli soldier gave up and let her brother go.
Online blogs have dubbed her "Shirley Temper".
The interesting thing here is that this isn't the first time Ahed was in the news.
Here she is 19 months earlier.
That's her, all of maybe 70-some pounds soaking wet, giving a soldier twice her size a piece of her mind.
Check out the body english.
Ahed's father is Bassem al-Tamimi. A well-known Palestinian activist who's been arrested over a dozen times for "sending people to throw stones, and holding a march without a permit". Charges he denies.
Amnesty International has designated Bassem as a prisoner of conscience.

Simply awesome.
As to her dad, everybody in Palestine is, to some degree, a prisoner of conscience. It is simply outrageous what goes on over there.
That, in its essence, is fascism--ownership of government by an individual, by a group, or by any other controlling private power. -- Franklin D. Roosevelt --
Thanks for this video and links
That's quite a lot of powerful body language, and voice, and purpose. The outrage is perfectly understandable.
