The media will have a tough time ignoring a U.N. presence overseeing our elections without resorting to explaining WHY it was necessary.

speaking of fixing elections...
Ouch. Glad to see everything has been fixed now
so our elections are on the up and up...oh, wait...

Now that would be funny...
If We the People took a collection to buy the programmers to "unfix" the elections.

People laughed when Michael Moore...
wrote the UN after the 2000 Supreme Court appointment of GW Bush to the presidency asking them to send troops as we had been overtaken by a coup. I wasn't laughing then because I felt the same way. And with the obvious fraud that has riddled our primary elections in so many state, and California in particular, I feel the same way again! We the people are not in charge. We barely have a say in what happens in our country anymore.
We really do need some outside assistance to ensure our elections represent the will of the people. Right now, they are controlled by wealthy, powerful individuals who have the resources to make the results end up anyway they want. Something needs to change! And it needs to change fast! Petition signed.

Two stories from the DNC platform committee.
1. The committee voted down supporting a $15 per hour minimum wage.
2. The committee voted down a proposal to be against the TPP.
Bernie Sanders is in favor of a $15 per hour minimum wage and against the TPP.
The DNC may force the hand of Senator Sanders to run third party or at the very least alienate Bernie's supporters.

This is only the first committee, but it looks
like they really believe that Sanders' supporters will fall in line no matter how much they ignore us.
I believe that the next one is in Orlando, FL where Sanders' groups will try again. If not there, then onto the convention floor. He stated this in his Syracuse speech tonight.

#BernDay is coming
Everyone needs to Bern their Dem Party registration and register Independent one week before Philly. Leave with the message, no play ball, no vote. A massive exodus is what we need to start engineering. Or they'll know they CAN afford to ignore us.
Now there is an idea for a protest
During protests of Vietnam, some burned their draft cards. During the fight for he ERA, a few women burned their bras (there were only a few but it got lots of attention so became a symbol).
Pretty sure that fires won't be allowed anywhere, but a symbolic fire along with something that symbolizes a Democratic Party registration or other symbol of the Party could be figuratively burned. Videos taped in all cities with identification of the city (as the media won't cover it). Then a bombardment of Twitter or whatever with the videos...maybe someone could string them all together and get them posted somewhere to share on FB. Anyway you get the gist.

I'm glad that Jimmy Carter initiated the petition
It's clear that the US primaries on the Democratic Party side were fixed.
The evidence was ignored by msm because it was rigged to favor Hillary.
Since the electoral corruption is systemic, it ultimately won't matter if they play the scare tactic: voting against Hillary will allow Trump to win. No, the central tabulators will move or delete enough votes to corrupt the entire process.
Some would rather win by trickery, than lose and keep their self-respect. There is no pride in winning if you cheated, because you actually failed by not adhering to a competition with your best principled effort.
For that reason, there is now a much better reason to vote for the more trustworthy party, neither Democrat or Republican. Which for me will be Jill Stein and the Green Party. It's not whether you win or lose, but how you play the game. It's better to lose with honor than to win by cheating.
There is no sense in rewarding corruption by casting your vote for the charlatans.
We need the UN monitors...
...but I'm afraid this petition was not brought by THE Jimmy Carter, unfortunately. Not that I am dissing Private Citizen Carter, nor criticizing our beloved President Carter, who has done more that any ten individuals' share of promoting truth and justice. Note that "the American way" doesn't even enter into the equation --
THE MONEY
The billions of dollars spent on the election - going to consultants, media buys, which go to the corporations which own the media, and give more access & power to the sycophants giving the money.
Would love to see a graphic of how this works. A picture worth.....etc.
All for the PERSONAL AMBITION, greed, narcissism of a very few people.
Have written it b4, my favorite graffiti from a wall in Oxford England, "Don't Vote, It Only Encourages Them."
Already an Independent, since the Clintons/DLC.Third Way took over the party to which I used to belong! But think the Leave Date should be spread over TWO WEEKS b4 Philly - giving the slow media time to pick up on it, unless MASSIVE social media about an exact date.

While I would love to see it happen,
there's no way it will unless the UN "observers" are also empowered to impose uniform voting standards on every district in the country. Without uniform standards they have nothing to work with and they won't waste their time - just as they don't waste their time with corrupt banana-republic dictatorships where everyone knows the "elections" are totally faked.
My wish list:
Completely open choose-one-party primaries (i.e. anyone can vote in any local primary, but only in one).
No "photo ID" requirements (voter registration card should be the only proof necessary).
No stupid restrictions on who can and cannot be registered to vote.
No electronic touchscreen machines - paper ballots, hand-counted, only. (Optical scanners optional, but only if there's a way of enabling an independent hand recount.)
Public funding of the entire election process.
"None Of The Above" a viable option at every level, for every position, every time, with suitable enforceable results if "NOTA" should win. (Let's discuss this and see if we can form a consensus.)
There is no justice. There can be no peace.
I am not sure if we want to miss the fun
in the general election of seeing who has the best programmers and cheaters between the Ds and the Rs. It could be an election where even the elite don't know who is going to win because none of the numbers will be real.

Yes it will be interesting to watch
however we must verify the process by the standard tools of the industry, exit polling and hand-counting paper ballots.
As close and as significant as the Brexit vote was in UK recently, there has been no suggestion that the votes were fixed or in any way modified and tampered with, to produce a different outcome. Win or lose, it's the honorable thing to do, to play fairly and not cheat. A great example for the American oligarchy to follow, if only it had the scruples to actually be honest for a change. If it it only had the integrity and moral character of the English nobility and the citizens at large. The American bourgeoisie are oafish and little more than barnyard hicks compared to their counterparts in England.
No one in the UK, no matter how powerful, ever stooped so low as to try commit fraud in the election, even though it will produce significant economic repercussions all over the world. Including pensions and 401k plans. We're likely to see all of those funding sources lose a lot of value in the USA in the coming months and years.
If the primaries were stolen from
Sanders as the evidence seems to suggest, then the November election is not legitimate anyway.
the only way to make the US American oligarchy honest is to force them. I think that is the reason that religions developed in the first place...to force people into some standard of morality. Although, religion has also ended up being corrupted.
If Europe or the UK really had a backbone, they would learn to say No to the US.

election fixes are systemic in the US
and the corruption became entrenched with the use of software "patches" on the perennial Tuesdays of every voting day, and its associated electronic voting machines manufactured by private corporations.
When the establishment refuses to allow the public to inspect the software and hardware used in the voting process, it's obvious that's an excuse to hide up criminal intent and activity. RICO violations, which should have been enough to put most elections supervisors in jail a long time ago.
Slot machines operated by mafia-run casinos in Las Vegas have more regulation and inspection than these voting machines.
As for religions, from an anthropological viewpoint, it emerged so that people might give their abstracted labor and surplus social product to the privileged ranks in both primitive and advanced theocratic chiefdoms. This was the function of priests and priestesses. BTW Mel Gibson’s movie "Apocalypto" is a classic example an Advanced Theocratic Chiefdom (ATC).
However in the general crisis of ATCs, a specific religion no longer is able to keep a society together and the lower classes rebel. From that disintegration evolved imperial slavery, feudal kingdoms and fiefdoms. And ultimately the State: that is to say, the army and police in the pay of the richest families. It exists to compel obedience from the same lower classes.
Capitalist systems always end up in terrible social and political crises that close factories, send masses of workers to the street, higher priced commodities, undercuts the social programs. I am witnessing the truth of all this everyday.
