What are those
little sticks with the clips on the end?
Some new kind of hair tie I suppose.
Meddle not in the affairs of Dragons - For thou art crunchy and good with ketchup
Well, that really depends on what the user wants to use them for
Their intent is to be used to aid you with putting on a bracelet.
What you do is clip the ring in the clip, then hold the handle so the clip is against your wrist.
Then you just swing the bracelet around and clip it on with your free hand.
Makes it much easier for those with "older hands" so to speak.
Of course, you could also use it for what my Jamaican next door neighbor refers to as, "Your big rasta pimp clip." like I do:)
Actually they are not bad, about the same price as the bottle stoppers/openers.
The pens are less, like $22 without a stylus end or $26 with.
I don't really mark it up much, it's more to keep me supplied with materials and tools to build more stuff to keep me occupied.

Oh
I thought they were roach clips.
I tried using one of those once, but the roaches kept getting away

LOL! They look suspiciously like what my friends call a roach
clips; I never partake, of course.
"No seriously, Officer, this is not paraphernalia, this helps me put on my bracelet."

You know, if I pulled you over, even if the end was dripping

Something to practice for just in case!
Not that officers I have known were ever all that seriously concerned about paraphernalia. The benefits of whitish privilege, I'm afraid.

I'm gonna' PM you about those whatever you want to call them ...
how much with S&H?
PM me when you get a chance and let me know exactly what you

Thanks! Whats really amazing about that wood is it's all the
natural color, even the bright purple and yellow.
There are a huge varieties of wood out there that you can buy if you only want to buy little square blocks of it.

That is an interesting observation actually and may be related
to one I made previously.
I spent 13 years in the prison system before a LOD injury put me on the beach permanently and one thing I noticed was that a disproportionate amount of inmates were not just artistic, but incredibly good artists with mediums you would never think of.
Like if Macgyver and DaVinci had a baby and raised him to be a criminal.
Seriously though it was something that I noticed and thought about writing a future essay on. (I plan on writing a line of them on a variety of issues from a former peace officers perspective.)
It would seem to correlate though and as I was fond of telling the inmates, "The only difference between some of us and some of you is some of you got caught."
That attitude was probably why even in the worst of units to work, the Security Threat Group unit, I almost never had problems on my shift.

That at The Guardian, while they show the location of every state on the map, they have no clue where Montana is. Lol.
Time for me to head out from
Time for me to head out from the office now. I have a twenty minute drive, a lot of it on a very straight, flat road past new housing developments where they have cut down all the original trees and planted new baby ones and with big fancy brick and folderol entrance gates with palm trees all over the place. (I live in a beach town that's really nice for rich people. Why, it's just like America!)
These neighborhoods look like a Monopoly board to me with all the flat, open space and houses plopped down at intervals. They may look nice when the baby trees grow, in other words, after I'm dead and gone. Bleah! (I'm partial to deciduous trees and gently rolling hills, but I know that's just my personal preference.)
I hope to be Bernie's California dreamin' when I get to the condo. (Note that I can't say "home" because this place doesn't feel like and will never be my home.) Go Bernie!

The California results seem orchestrated.
All the counties reporting early are the ones that reasonably would go to Clinton. Sonoma, Fresno, Napa, Marin, etc. these are some of the richest counties in California. Is the pacing set so that the East Coast will go to bed thinking Clinton has won and the DNC is hoping they can make that the "true narrative".
The people, united, will never be defeated.
Don't forget-most of the early returns are the mail-in votes
And they tend to skew to Hillary
Jeff Merkley says primary over when FSC gets pledged delegates--
apparently, FSC just went over that mark.
Why couldn't he at least wait until Bernie pulls out officially, I wonder.
MSM saying that Bernie will be returning to Vermont for tomorrow; has meetings in D.C. on Thursday.
And, Jeff Weaver and Robby Mook have been meeting this week--according to CNN's Dana Bash, and MSNBC's Andrea Mitchell.
Still hoping that Bernie pulls out California--that would be such a hit for FSC! (even if it doesn't change the outcome)
Oh, for those who didn't hear her victory speech, she made a pitch for 'unity.'
I still don't believe that the Elite MSM, or politicians, recognize the seriousness/degree of the divide in the Party.
We'll see.
Also, I still think she'll be easy to beat. To my knowledge, FSC never drew more than a few thousand supporters at any given rally.
Had me wondering if some of her victory speech crowd this evening, were paid actors--like I've heard that Trump hired when he announced his candidacy.

I don't think so, Mollie.
She went over the mark according to a survey of superdelegates, not with the pledged delegates alone. They are still counting the supers when it is not time for them to vote.
more re delegates
According to NYT tally
Pledged delegates:
1,913 Hillary
1,602 Bernie
Needed to win: 2383.
Neither of them has enough delegates to win. That is when it is supposed to go to the convention for decision and the superDs vote.
This counts those won so far tonight.
even more re delegates
Clinton needs 470 more delegates to cross the winning number of 2383 in pledged delegates.
I wish Bernie would say it that way instead of just saying he is going to try to talk the Supers into changing their minds.
According to the rules, she has not won and he should say so. If neither party gets the 2383, it goes to the convention. He should say that. I am not sure but I think the 2383 represents getting more than half of the available pledged delegates during primaries. If no one gets more than 1/2, there is not a winner. I think.
Et tu, Jeff? No, she may have the maority of pledged delegates
but she does not and will not have 2383 to clinch the nomination in pledged delegates alone. And the supers can switch all the way until the day of the convention. Especially if (heaven forbid, cough) Hill is indicted meanwhile.

Exactly,
and I guess I am naive where I didn't think I was. I can barely believe no one in the media is pointing this out. I should not be surprised. But, I am. Also, the Sanders campaign. They are doing a lousy job of explaining what is happening. And, it's not that complicated. You and I just explained it.
As I watch this unfold, I'm pretty sure now that Clinton called herself the nominee early tonight just in case Bernie wins CA. She can't let it go to the convention, and no one dares say that that is the rules. And, the American people, in general, don't know the rules, so they don't know what is even happening. Except for online Bernie supporters.

I figured out back in 1999
that the US wasn't the country I thought I lived in or wanted to live in. I sailed away. May be time for you to buy that boat and join me!

If I could get the wife to agree I would already be living on a Lagoon 440.
I am actually going to be attending school for sail with my buddy from Finland when he comes to visit (I got him talked into staying for 6 months next trip, wasn't hard. Finland is cold!) and I am also working on getting my 6 pack certification for Charters.
The wife just graduated from her RN program though and doesn't want to leave the country, but she did say she would consider it if either Trump or Hillary did win, so there is an upside for me regardless I guess, lol!

You don't know how lucky you might be!
Your wife being an RN open ups the whole world to you. She can literally find work in almost any country. Had friends who went to NZ, she was a nurse, he was just a boyfriend. She had a job in less than 30 days and they both obtained citizenship in 2 years.
Lots of Lagoon cats sailing around now. When we first left in 1999 cats were an exception and you saw very few. Now they're everywhere.

Me? If so, that's just a little 23' fishing boat in the Gulf of
Mexico with my baby girl when she was still a pup.
Don't have a sail boat yet, but may end up with one by proxy. My father in law lives in Nevada but comes to visit us twice a year and was talking about buying one if I would keep it up while he's gone. (Sounds like a deal to me, lol!)
They are surprisingly cheap down here compared to powered boats. I think a lot of people retire down here and buy them thinking they are gonna be "Captain Ron" and then end up never taking them out so if you keep your eyes open you can find some truly amazing deals.

Yep! Zoe has her own life jacket as does her brother.
We had no choice.
I got her trained where she will go and pee next to the rear scupper and I can rinse it out with a bucket of water but she won't poop on the boat. If she has to go and there is land in sight she just jumps off and starts swimming for shore. (She used to be a real pain in the ass with doing it far out, but now she is better about letting me know ahead of time, lol!)
Her brother has one, but he needs a new one because he is just growing and growing. Not sure when he is gonna stop because he is a rescue too, but unlike his sister I don't know the breed.
He already outweighs her though and is only a year old so who knows when he will stop.
Here are Loki and Zoe side by side recently.

Actually there were always cat's at the marina that would
go out on the floating dock and come to my boat (I have a weakness for kitties even though I have developed an allergy and can o longer keep them, and usually have a bucket full of bait) they don't mind being ON the water so much as IN the water.
Cat's are happy if they have someplace high with a window and a steady supply of scratchies and fish in my experience.

Your dogs are lovely. If you
Your dogs are lovely. If you're curious about Loki's breed: it looks like he has a brindle coat in the picture and that may be a clue as I believe it is usually tied to certain breeds.
Thank you, I agree! And very astute observation!
He is we believe mostly Tennessee Treeing Brindle Mountain Cur predominately and our vet thinks he has some Mastiff in him as well.
I love the Cur breeds, Zoe is a Florida Black Mouth Cur, and with her 4 webbed feet she is the perfect water dog for her daddy.
Loki is more of a, "I am just gonna sit here on the bow and guard the boat" kind of breed, but that is probably the mastiff in him.
What's fun about the Black Mouth Curs is they were bred for hunting hogs in the swamps, but they don't engage them, they just annoy them and then rush back to you and go, "Shoot em dad! Shoot em!".
I never took her hogging, couldn't stand it if she got hurt, but it was funny watching her do it with my cats before they passed, she would run into my wife's craft room, annoy them to the point they would chase her and then run and jump in my lap.
It's so damn sweet it could kill a diabetic.

Wow cool thanks for sharing. I love learning about dogs. Fwiw: I would have guessed a Pit mix based on the photo. He looks a lot like a dog my parents had when I was baby. Do your dogs like to swim?
Zoe does, but oddly enough only from boats, not from shore.
Loki is still hit and miss. I don't think he digs the water near as much but will come in if Daddy calls him but he prefers to be dry.
He doesn't even like to go out in the rain, whereas I need to keep a towel by the door in the summer for Zoe, she seems to ONLY want to go out in the summer when it is pouring.

It's becoming a long story!!
left California in the summer of 1999. Spent almost 2 years in Mexico, continued south through Guatemala, El Salvador, Nicaragua, Costa Rica and Panama. Then headed across the Pacific to the Galapagos, the Marquesas, Tuamoto's and Society Islands of French Polynesia, south to the Cook Islands, then Niue, Tonga and south to New Zealand for cyclone season. Then north to Fiji, Samoa, the Northern Cook Islands to Christmas Island in Kiribati to Hawaii. We got stuck in Hawaii for about 7 years but left again in early 2011 back to French Polynesia and Samoa, then north to Tuvalu, across the equator again to the Marshall Islands for another cyclone season. Then back south to Vanuatu and spent the next cyclone season in the Solomon Islands, then onward to Papua New Guinea, through the Torres Straits to East Timor, Indonesia, north again to Singapore, Malaysia and Thailand. Now hanging around the west coast of Malaysia and Thailand for the past 2 years doing some land travel to Northern Thailand, Cambodia and Vietnam. Tommorow we hop on a flight to Indonesia to visit the temple of Borobudur. We couldn't see it as we sailed through Indonesia to a nasty tropical skin infection I had on my leg that delayed us leaving Bali. Whew!! We've sailed a total of just under 44,000 miles in total. Enough to go around the world if we quit zig zagging our way around.
We plan to head back to Malaysia Borneo this time next year and then eastward to the Raja Ampat area of Indonesia for some diving and might go up to the Philippines. After that, if we can still walk and aren't drooling on ourselves, we'll sail east to Africa, across the Atlantic to the Caribbean and eventually through the Panama Canal which would complete a circumnavigation. Hopefully, we'll live long enough to do that!!
