Substance, lack of
Here's something I've noticed about the Clinton campaign and the comments of her supporters. First of all I saw a posting from someone on TOP asking, quite seriously, for the Clinton supporters to state the actual policies she holds that they were supporting. The poster asked in a very polite and non-combative manner. I'm sure you can guess the answers received: Clinton's already won, Google it, just shut up, go back and look, etc. Not one comment gave an actual "This is what Clinton supports that I like" answer. Almost all of it was just insults. Great way to get people behind your candidate of choice.
Then most of the Clinton coverage I saw today was of the "Isn't Trump a horrible person because...." variety. Again, fine, Trump is a jerk. But what do YOU stand for? You can't run an entire campaign on "See how bad the other guy is?". It isn't working. Maybe there is some stuff out there I'm missing, I can only look at so much, but I'm not seeing it.

But she's a LIBERAL
and you're spouting RIGHTWING TALKING POINTS
and she'll be the FIRST WOMAN PRESIDENT
and she's a LIBERAL
that's all we need to know....
IT'S! HER! TUUURRRNNN!!!

This happened to me
late last year. They attacked instead of answering, too. They piled on.
'Well, I've wrestled with reality for thirty five years, Doctor, and I’m happy to state I finally won out over it." Elwood P. Dowd "
Same thing happened...
to me in 2008 when I asked about Barack Obama too. That community is not "reality-based" when the candidate they support is questioned.
But they can, and do
And they've been doing it for a very long time because people have been conditioned to vote based on fear of the other. It's a byproduct of a two party system. This doesn't work so well in a multi-party system.

You nailed it, Thumb.
It will be "ooga booga" "scary Trump" "you think I'm bad? look at that Trump guy." She'll try to make it a scare-fest. That's probably ok with Trump, because he doesn't have any substance either. It's not like she's running against Adlai Stevenson.
"Just call me Hillbilly Dem(exit)."

Well...
Halloween is close to election day, so her campaign should fit right in.
Gëzuar!!
from a reasonably stable genius.
Someone should advise Trump to pick a
topic...say like Social Security or the TPP and pound her on it (hopefully, he could stay on message). She will be saying "bad guy." He will be saying "policy." It will give the comedians some good material at least.

Actually, Trump doesn't have to say anything of
substance. Given that this is shaping up to be a surreally negative campaign between the two of them, all that will accomplish will be to drive down turnout. And lower turnout favors the GOP candidate, no matter who it is.
Plus, today's jobs numbers single a bad season of worsening economic news.
And this time, it ain't an "R" sitting in the White House.

Hillary's foreign policy speech
Hillary's foreign policy speech was uninspiring, and weighed down with discredited neocon ideas. But she made fun of Trump-- thus winning praise from the corporate media for her alleged pie-fighting prowess. Which is strange because she has absolutely no talent for stand-up comedy (unlike President Obama).
Hillary Clinton’s Flat and Misleading Foreign Policy Speech
This part was particularly bad (how many times did we hear that President Bush was "our" commander-in-chief?):
In fact, did she anything that wouldn't fit in a speech by Bush?
"We've done the impossible, and that makes us mighty."
So true...
I remember talking about this in 2008 as well. Using the "Commander-in-Chief" language is Republican framing. Democrats need to stop trying to fight on Republican grounds. They need to fight in the areas where people support them, not in areas where people (wrongly) support Republicans...
Yeah the Obomber is just
so funny. Like the joke about droning the Jonas Bros. cause his daughters were fans. I laughed so hard, not.
That is kind of reaching
It is a commonly used phrase, not unlike "our military" or our "our troops." I would be shocked if Bernie, or one of his surrogates, hasn't said it "our-commander-in-chief."
As with others below...that
As with others below...that might have been me. All I heard was negative, fear based, and the typical accusations, shaming, and guilting. . Not a single positive, or thoughtful response to my question.
I am just as hopeful as anyone that we can rise as a nation to overcome sexism, as we did racism , in our electoral process... but NOT THIS WOMAN! Her experience is not positive, her policies, not progressive, nor considerate of the general population, and her foreign affairs have been a disaster for everyone but Bill, Hillary, and Chelsea; the benefactors of the Clinton Foundation.
Sorry HRC...You can't make a silk purse out of a sow's ear. Your candidacy is like putting lipstick on a pig. Nothing to be gained by your futile effort to fool the greater share of the electorate.
We've Got Trouble in River City, if The Donald Wins
That's 'mushroom cloud' or 'nuclear codes' talk, by HRC, the warmonger-in-chief. Be afraid, very afraid, if YOUR vote allows The Donald to get his 'little hands' on the red button that launches WWIII! Hill's big foreign policy speech before the Cali primary was intended to make herself look presidential while putting the fear of god in voters who dare to vote for Donald, or is it Bernie? Anyhoo, HRC's got the experience, the stability (right), the cajones, the woman's non-crazy touch, to save us from Russia, or China, but especially from The Donald.
Invoking Godwin's Law
You guys do remember that Hitler got elected on the basis of not being the other guy, right?

Thanks for the laugh!
It's always funny hearing how far people will go in comparing Hillary to Hitler. I'll even give you a combo name: Hitlery!
I have asked the same question. Have yet to get a substantive
answer. I even asked it at the beginning, when I really hadn't chosen yet! All the good answers came from the Bern camp.
