'There is now more than a theoretical chance' of no Clinton Nomination (WSJ opinion piece)
I'm not seeing this in the feed here - have I missed it?
There is now more than a theoretical chance that Hillary Clinton may not be the Democratic nominee for president.
and then they say:
The inevitability behind Mrs. Clinton’s nomination will be in large measure eviscerated if she loses the June 7 California primary to Bernie Sanders. That could well happen.
A recent PPIC poll shows Mrs. Clinton with a 2% lead over Mr. Sanders, and a Fox News survey found the same result. Even a narrow win would give him 250 pledged delegates or more—a significant boost. California is clearly trending to Mr. Sanders, and the experience in recent open primaries has been that the Vermont senator tends to underperform in pre-election surveys and over-perform on primary and caucus days, thanks to the participation of new registrants and young voters.
Then they point out that folks are stepping up to participate because Bernie.
And that Bernie does better against Trump.
And the IG says Clinton broke rules.
Pretty sure I must be dreaming to read this in msm.
So, they also mention that there could be an attempt to swap in Biden... and then they say the same about Kerry - first I've seen of that speculation.
At any rate, happy reading and sharing!

James did a great diary about it last week
The only way I know how to find it is to click on his username and look at his diaries.
Hopefully some day there will be a way to search for diaries, but the site is still growing and it needs more money to keep up with the number of people who are joining.
You would need to look under the members list to find his name

The North Korean thing may not be sound--
I've tracked it back to the Washington Times, not always trustworthy.

However, the "compromised counterterrorism ops"
talking point seems to be absolutely sound, goes back to a military advisor to the State Dept.

Someone needs to do a piece
on how Clinton's actions reflect badly on Obama's administration -- where was the oversight? -- and only a full prosecution can keep his legacy from being tarnished. If there is really bad blood between the two of them as has been hinted in some political circles, I would think Obama wouldn't hesitate to wash his hands of Clinton and her actions the way Pilate washed his hands of the decision to execute a certain Jewish dissident.
That deal he struck in '08 got unexpectedly more expensive
after the fact.

I went to the Bernie rally in Oakland on Monday
I got there too late (2 hours before it started) and spent most of the time in the very good natured, colossal line and finally got to Frank Ogawa Plaza (Oscar Grant Plaza) about half an hour into Bernie's speech and was never able to actually see him. Nobody near me in the line said they would vote for Hillary if she got the nomination. Lots of Bernie attire everywhere and some anti-Hillary shirts ("Hillary For Prison 2016") as well as a number of anti-Trump shirts. I'm thinking Bernie's going to do well here, barring vote rigging.
Beware the bullshit factories.
Wanted to go see him
today at my old high school, but health and family obligations got in the way -- and of course the coverage got lost in the wake of the murder-suicide at UCLA that got wall-to-wall coverage. Saw more about Trump's legal woes than I did about Sanders in California.
And yeah, I'm worried about the vote-rigging as well; Mr. Scribe and I were allowed to vote provisionally since we have no permanent residence right now, but that could easily get lost along with plenty of unaffiliated voters also getting provisional ballots. I think Bernie's going to get a narrow victory, but in any rate no one's going to have the clinching number of pledged delegates (not that it matters to the MSM and the folks at TOP who will gleefully claim victory for Clinton).
Sounds like you guys are due for some better days...
I hope they are close at hand. Sorry health stuff got in the way.

Wish I could have seen that crowd.
Missed the two rallies that Bernie had in New Mexico. Hillary send Bill And he was berned by a Sander's supporter. I have sent in my absentee ballot for Sanders and I have a Sanders flag in my front yard. Have not seen any for Clinton as of yet. The Clintons and their supporters say that my vote does not matter, but it matters to me. I am an American and I would not care if Bernie was a million delegates behind, I can and will vote for the person of my choosing. As far as all those people who say that I must support Clinton, give me good reasons to vote for her and no, being the lesser of two evils does not cut it anymore.
I've seen 4 Hillary signs here in Berkeley.
2 were lawn signs and 2 were stickers on cars.
One of the lawn signs was standing right next to a Bernie sign.
One of the Hillary-stickered cars also had Bernie sticker.
Otherwise it's Bernie signs if there's anything at all.
Just want to point out,
it is an Opinion piece. That is fine, glad to see it. The link url says "articles," so I thought it was a WSJ article until I clicked over.
Also, "opinion" not editorial,
so title a little misleading. Very happy to see this posted, just want to be accurate.
WSJ is opinion of DOUG SCHOEN
Doug Schoen, WSJ article, is a DEMOCRAT who spent years working for the Clintons.
There is something going on! Too many articles in the past few days questioning the viability of a Clinton nomination. The one in Down With Tyranny with Carl Bernstein channeling the White House, Obama, someone who wanted that "line" leaked.
Harry Reid being nicer to Bernie?
Something's happening....the zeitgeist is shifting...
Hi Caerus
Good to see you over here. Always remembered how well you handled the trolling remarks over at TOP.
I agree. Something feels like it shifted. Can't say where it's headed but the timing is very peculiar.

It even came up on the Daily show the other day.
I can't remember the guest, some Clinton shill, but when Trevor asked about if the DNC should consider another choice he gave a bunch of insipid comments and then falsely stated that it was too late to change the nominee (as if the convention already happened!).
I wish I could remember the guests name so I could link it, his comments were really annoying to me at the time but I cannot recall the exact content of what he said that irked me other than the outright lie, I just remember it came off incredibly patronizing.

Some of the article was posted this AM in the comments of the BNR. Here's what that piece plus a couple of others. It looks hopeful to me.
Wall Street Journal Opinion/Commentary
Here's part of what Bernstein — a Clinton supporter — said last February
Bernstein: There is a huge story going on. I've spent part of this weekend talking to people in the White House. They are horrified at how Hillary Clinton is blowing up her own campaign.
And they're worried that the Democrats could blow -- they are horrified that the whole business of the transcripts, accepting the money -- that she could blow the Democrats' chance for White House. They want her to win. Obama wants her to win.
But Sanders has shown how vulnerable she is. These ethical lapses have tied the White House up in knots. They don't know what to do. They're beside themselves. And now, you've got a situation with these transcripts a little like Richard Nixon and his tapes that he stonewalled on and didn't release.
Here's his current message:
Bernstein: The implications of all of this [the email server issue] are that Hillary Clinton did not want her emails subjected to the Freedom of Information Act or subpoenas from Congress. And that's why she set up a home-brew server.
I think we all know that. People around her will tell you that in private if you really get them behind a closed door.
I was in Washington this week, I spoke to a number of top Democratic officials and they're terrified, including people at the White House, that her campaign is in free fall because of this distrust factor. Indeed, Trump has a similar problem, but she's the one whose numbers are going south.
And the great hope in the White House, as well as the Democratic leadership and people who support her, is that she can just get to this convention, get the nomination — which they're no longer 100% sure of — and get President Obama out there to help her, he's got a lot of credibility, it's an election that's partly about his legacy.
But she needs all the help she can get because right now her campaign is in huge trouble...

definitely something going on. Hopefully Trump will start hammering Hillary over the head with more dirt like tomorrow!

I suspect they will try to hold back
until Hillary is officially the nominee. Then, watch out!! It's not in their best interest to take her out now. If they do that, they might end up having to face Bernie and that's a battle they can't win. I'll bet they sit back for a few more weeks and then unleash the dogs of hell once she gets the coronation. What we need to do now, is make sure her coronation never happens.

I can't read anything from WSJ without guessing at an ulterior motive...especially op-ed.
It's all true
but written as a mere op-ed in the WSJ, it's only to pretend that Official Washington Knows She's a Criminal And Is Paying Attention .
They'll say Somebody is going to Do Something To Change That, but it never happens.
In other words, it's more "running out the clock" shit....
BOW DOWN!!!
On Tuesday, MSNBC and other new outlets are going to declare Clinton the presumptive nominee. Have you heard? She's winning! Fall in line, the establishment commands!
