Some words about Marxism-Leninism
Submitted by Cassiodorus on Mon, 09/25/2023 - 3:14pmThis topic comes up via Revolutionary Blackout Network, because Rome, whose vision apparently informs RBN, proclaimed himself to be a Marxist-Leninist. Here's the appropriate video:
9/25 - The Battle of Stamford Bridge

Submitted by JtC on Sun, 09/24/2023 - 6:27pmLast Wednesday wifey and I trekked up to Amarillo to catch a Mavericks concert on Thursday the 21st of September. The show was at the beautiful Globe-News Center Performance Hall in downtown Amarillo.
This was one of the best shows I've seen, and I've seen a lot of them. It was high energy, excellent musicianship, and must I say, great vocals from frontman Raul Malo.
Anyway, I recorded some of the show for your viewing pleasure, along with some photos. You may get a feel for the excitement that reverberated through the auditorium, both from the band and the audience. We were seated center stage, 5 rows back, 20 feet from the band.

The Fall
Change is in the air, and it is more than just the season. It is not just leaves that are falling, but the US empire, the USD, our lifespans, the quality of life, and much more. This week I caught the clips below describing various aspects of our fall, many are righteous rants.
Album of the Week 9-23-23
Submitted by joe shikspack on Sat, 09/23/2023 - 3:00pmAfternoon folks!
There's a bunch of good stuff this week. There's some serious Chicago blues with an album from (Chess artist) Jimmy Rogers and a compilation from Howlin' Wolf. After that there's a pile of blues rock with albums from Delaney & Bonnie & Friends, Harvey Mandel (Canned Heat) and West, Bruce & Laing.
Then there's some pleasant, bluesy burblings by Leon Redbone and we finish off with some genuinely unusual music from The Fugs.
Have a great weekend!

Submitted by Socialprogressive on Fri, 09/22/2023 - 5:00pmHappy Friday everyone. I hope everybody is doing well. Post any photos, memes, or music you like.
Started the week with rain on Sunday. The rest of the week it's been mostly cloudy with below average temps and only a few hours of sun Tuesday and Wednesday afternoon and sprinkles again today. Next week it's supposed to be back to normal late September weather, sunny and 80°.
