Go Germany!
Go, Germany! The German government has stepped up to help pay US military base employees their October salaries during our government shutdown. This is something like 11,000 employees they are paying. The German government is considering it as a loan, which the US government will pay back when the shutdown is over. These are US civilian employees Germany is paying, not Germans. Of course, the shutdown has extended into November, so who knows if this will help those employees now.
It seems as though the government might not even be able to pay our soldiers starting November 15th, nevermind their families and others working on our bases. The US Army website is telling our soldiers based in Germany where to get help from foodbanks. Thank the gods Germany has a good social welfare system (compared to the USA) since that's where (in part) the army is sending our soldiers to get food!

Got some stuff going on this month least of which is the big Thanksgiving Dinner E2 and I host.
Have a sick friend who has decided to give up on dialysis on her Birthday and just let go.
.
Dark dick Chaney has died.
One less devil in the world.
Hoorah.
Cheney suffered from severe cardiovascular disease for much of his adult life and survived multiple heart attacks. His first heart attack occurred in 1978 when he was just 37.
(Oh, he had a bad heart)
I would say he had no working heart.
But a replacement was made.
Which allowed him to continue the work of Satan.

Our local monthly paper has been featuring a series of articles on regenerative agriculture. I was asked to write one of the articles. It appears below the fold. It features one of the farms we frequent. As a bonus I've added an interview with Thomas Massey about his cattle operation and pending legislation. We're on the road today, so I'll see you later in the week.
